"Leah, kausapin mo naman na ako."
Narinig ko ang nagsusumamong tinig ni Sam mula sa malayo. Huminga ako ng malalim at binilisan pa lalo ang paglalakad papunta sa susunod kong klase. Dapat kasi ay hindi na ako nag-cr at sumabay na kay Ara sa paglalakad.

Nang makita ko ang mukha nang taong gumulat sa akin ay mabilis akong napabitaw at lumayo. Nanlalaki ang mga mata ko habang nasisilayan ko kung paano mapahawak si Sam sa isa niyang kamay na napuruhan ko habang may kunot sa noo sa kanyang maamong mukha.

"Alam mo kung bakit, Sam. Alam mong ayokong masaktan ang kaibigan ko. Ayokong masaktan si Ara." Ani ko sa kanya. Marahas siyang nagmulat ng kanyang mata at tinuro ang kanyang dibidb.
"At pinili mo ang saktan ako? Leah, I know you have feelings for me, too. Please, huwag mo namang ikaila at ibaon iyon sa limot para lang sa kasiyahan ng ibang tao." Giit niya. My fist balled. I cannot handle this pain building inside of me.

"Hindi iba sa akin si Ara, Sam! I don't want her to suffer and show hatred at me for choosing my feelings over hers! Masakit din sa akin ito—"
