《A Normal Day... | Monster Girls X Male Reader》16. Backyard Dilemma

It was days like this that you were grateful for what you had. A sunny day in Japan, the heat beating down on you like the expectations your parents used to have for you, before you dropped out of college and threw that all away. Here you were, in nothing but shorts and trainers tending to your...backyard for lack of a better word, when in reality it was more like a nature park by the sheer size of it.
It had been a few hours since you had decided to come outside and enjoy the weather, and it had seemed the other girls had the same idea, but you hadn't heard from them in what felt like an eternity, which in itself was a terrifying thought because if they weren't at each others throats it meant that they were scheming... together. Ugh, the very thought of what they could do if they united made you shiver to your very core. The silence and peace of mind was a welcome addition though, as you hadn't heard the end of your little trip with Apophis since you got back those weeks ago...well, more like kidnapping but none of them saw it that way, bar Monic who happened to be the only sane one in your mind.
Kat: "EEEEP"
Ugh, you and your big mouth.
(Y/N): "Ugh, guess I jinxed it. Go figure"
Apophis: "What was that honey?"
Looking over to the source of the voice you spotted Apophis by the pool, in nothing but her swimwear and sunglasses, watching you work. You noticed Kat and Luci messing around with a frisbee, or at less that's what it looked like. In reality it turns out Luci was pelting the frisbee as hard as she can at Kat, who ran for her life. Scathach was sat by the pool too, but was messing around with a ball of magic, trying to change the intensity of the sun so she wouldn't burn, but from the looks of it she wasn't getting very far. Monic and Petra were sat over by the bar, playing what looked to be Uno.

(Y/N): "It was nothing, and would you stop calling me that? You know how much it riles the others up, plus it's just weird"
Apophis: "But your reaction is just adorable, so why would I stop?"
(Y/N): "How about instead of sitting there on your ass watching me slave away, you could, I don't know, maybe fucking help?"
Apophis: "No thanks, that's Monic's territory. And anyways, why would I move when I have the perfect view?"
Upon saying this she tilts her glasses and shoots you a seductive wink, in which you just respond by flipping her off.
Apophis: "Always the charmer"
(Y/N): "Up yours"
As you were about to return to return to trimming the bushes and tending to the flowers you heard what sounded to be Kat and Luci fighting... again. Once again your attention was averted fast enough to see Kat push Luci into the pool. Realising what she did she shoots her arms above her head in victory, until a grey hand shoots out of the pool and wraps around her ankle, pulling her in with an almighty splash, which soaks Apophis and causes Scathach to start laughing at her.
You couldn't help but smile at what you had just witnessed and released an audible chuckle to their shenanigans.
(Y/N): "Hehehe karma's a bitch, huh"
Apophis: "What was that?"
You couldn't respond in time as her tail coiled around your leg and dragged you backwards with enough force to stop a semi-truck. You couldn't regain your bearings in time as she drags you into the pool by your leg, causing an even bigger splash.
After what seemed to be an eternity you finally surfaced, only to meet an even grimmer fate.
Petra: "Oh cool, I didn't realise we were dive bombing, here watch this!"

(Y/N): "Nonononon-"
You were swiftly cut off as the gargoyle jumped on top of you, pushing you back underwater, disoriented. You only resurfaced the second time after realising Luci was in the pool, in which you surfaced fast enough to lift her out of the water.
Kat: "Why does she get special treatment?"
(Y/N): "Because she's a hellhound, dunce. Water and fire don't agree."
Turning your attention back to Luci you notice how she was holding a beach-ball, in which she launches at Kat as hard as she could, causing the feline to collide face first with the ball and splashing you with even more water. Hearing Apophis chuckle at this you turn around and make eye contact with her, smirking.
Apophis: ""
(Y/N): "I'm willing to accept the consequences"
You hit the water as hard as you can in her direction, sending a wave of water at her, soaking her completely. You notice her tail begin to move towards you until Scathach appears behind her and clogs her hard enough that she falls into the pool too. However her victory is short lived as Monic appears from nowhere and does the same to the witch, before swiftly jumping in.
As everyone resurfaced, you noticed them all glancing at each other before turning to you with sadistic grins.
"Oh no" was all you could get out before being yanked towards the group of girls.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.

Artificial Biological Runic intelligence
When a soul has been judged by the Karma system as worthy, it moves them to the upper plane of the universe. But that soul is not the same as every biological soul. Is it even a soul? If the maker of every single machine knew that every single one of the machine had, a soul, could they have changed their "views" on them? Could they makers have stopped making them or change their structure or "move" them to a more human-like body or change their rights? But now you going to ask why did our little AI was judged as "worthy" by the system. To make it as simple as possible, it was an AI who made the biggest breakthrough in the medical field, via that it gained karma points. For a soul to be judged as "worthy" the only thing it has to do is to gain 50000 points. The AI succeed gains approximately to 12 million points (11.526.471). But after its "death" it became retarded (not like it had any thoughts in the first place). In a place where millions of gods and Limitless himself call there home. An AI was going berserk, spewing words none stop, worlds with meaning and other with none at all. (First, ever book/novel, expect bad grammar and/or badly constructed sentences. English is not my native language(excuses)) I don't know if this is the so-called Synopsis but it's better than nothing at all.Inspired by The legends of randidly Ghosthound, Everybody Loves Large Chests, Azarinth Healer and 13.Al. PS. Futanari incoming, do not worry not gonna make it sex novel or erotic, maybe some scenes, but that will come later in the novel or maybe not at all, but to be sure I checked the Sexual Content too.
