《Spencer Reid Imagines ✔️》It's Cold Outside

Spencer's POV
It's a cozy sunday morning and I just woke up. Coffee is the first thing on my mind. I always need coffee. I put more sugar in my coffee than the actual coffee though. What can I say, I don't drink my coffee like Derek Morgan does. He always makes fun of me for it to, he's always sitting around saying:
"Pretty boy, why don't you drink some coffee with your sugar!"
And then Prentiss will say something like:
"Yeah Kid, slow down on the sugar intake there."
Straight black coffee is gross to me . It isn't bad though. In fact, studies have shown black coffee consists of caffeine that very effectively increases metabolic activity and boosts energy levels in our body. I stand at my counter as I put the coffee pot on.
Today was pretty nice. I didn't have a case so I finally got some time off to do some light reading. That would consist of reading at least 30 books starting this morning by the end of the day.
I am just about to pour myself a cup when I hear a knock on my apartment door. I set the coffee pot down and stride over towards the door. I take a look through the peep hole and it's my colleague, SSA (Y/N) (L/N). I gently slide the lock off the door and open it.
(Y/N) is the newest member of the B.A.U. and we had gotten along right away once I met her. She's become my best friend since then. She comes over almost every Tuesday night after work to eat chinese and watch a movie with me. It's one of our favorite things to do. She lives in the same apartment complex as me, just on the floor underneath of me.
Normally, (Y/N), Derek, Penelope, Emily and I all go out to bars after we finish cases and hang out. But (Y/N) and I hang out alone more often than with the whole team. That is unless Rossi is buying the drinks, then we go to some fancy dinner and eat "right" as the italian man says. I look back up towards the girl standing in my doorway.
(Y/N) is standing outside my door shivering. Her hair is soaking wet as well as all of her clothes. It must be raining outside. How didn't I notice that. She stands there with her briefcase and wet papers in her hands looking at me. She opens her mouth slightly to start talking but I begin before her.
"(Y/N)? What happened to you, why are you soaking wet from the rain? It's 7:00 in the morning, where did you go? You know, it's statistically proven that rainwater hits the ground and elevates bacteria and viruses from the ground up into the air. So people will be exposed to them during rain which might cause them to fall ill. Were you out in the rain?" I ask slightly worried.

(Y/N) POV
I look up at Spencer and then back down at my soaked shoes and clothing. My socks felt awful in my shoes right now. I look back at Spencer. His eyes are laced with concern. I give him a slight smile before answering him.
"Okay, first of all, calm down please Spence. Second of all, yes I was out in the rain. I didn't expect it to rain. I was working on finishing up some files this morning and I was gonna be all cute and go grab us coffee and come to your place but then- I think you can probably infer what happened next." I smile weakly at him.
Spencer takes my bag from me, motioning for me to come inside. He places my bag down on the floor next to his book bag and guides me toward the couch.
I glance over at him. He's scrambling around trying to make things look clean and he keeps looking back at me. Finally he stops running around and smiles at me holding up a finger at me.
"Stay here. I'll be right back." he says before mysteriously wandering off.
I peer around Spencer's apartment. It's the same as always, books everywhere, papers and coffee stains on the table. I wrap my arms around myself, beginning to feel colder. I take in the smell. I always have loved the smell of Spencer's place. It smells like him, and i'd never admit to him that I like him because I know he wouldn't go for me. I mean look at the man, he's absolutely gorgeous, a genius and funny without even knowing it. I could never measure up to that. I'm pulled out of my thoughts as Spencer returns with clothes in his hand.
"So, you look absolutely freezing and that can't be comfortable to be in those soaking wet clothes so- here. Sorry for rambling. I- well- it might be a little bit big but it's the best i've got. And, um the bathroom is down the hall, if you need-" I stop him and give him a quick kiss on the cheek. I smile up at him.
"Thank you, Spence. I'll be back" I walk down the hall towards the bathroom.
He handed me a big sweater of his and a pair of grey sweats. I slip into it. It's extremely comfortable and if I liked the smell of his apartment before, oh lord his clothes smelled even better. I grab a fistful of the shirt and take in the scent. What I would give to actually be held by him. I pick up all of my soaking wet clothes and put them on the floor. I walk back out into the living room where Spencer is. He is pouring coffee. I come and stand next to him peering up at him.

"Hi." I say smiling, becoming a bit bashful as I realize that he's looking at me in his clothes.
"Uh, wow. I-, Hi." He looks at me with a loss for words. He starts to mess with his hair.
"It's bad right, I look so disgusting, I never should have gone out in the first place what was I even thinking, it's Virginia, it could rain at anytime why didn't I just call a cab or something." Spencer stops me and grabs my arm as i'm walking toward his couch.
"(Y/N), you look beautiful whether you were just drenched in rain or not. You especially look good in my clothes." He smirks grabbing the cups of coffee.
"Dr. Reid are you flirting with me?" I say a smirk on my face and a hint of surprise in my tone.
"Maybe I am. Here." He says, handing me my cup of coffee.
Spencer wanders into a closet somewhere down the hall and enters the room with a big stack of blankets in his arms. He holds one out for me to take. I grab it from him and my hand slightly grazes over his as I do so. This results in us making eye contact and smiling for a minute. I pull the purple blanket over myself, shivering from the slight chill that runs up my spine. I can't tell if it's from the cold or because of Spencer.
"It's cold outside. Really cold." I tell him as he places the other blankets back in the closet.
Spencer comes back and climbs onto the couch with me, places his coffee mug on the table in front of us.
"Yes, it is. Did you know, in the United States, 6,660 people died from hypothermia or exposure to cold from 2006 to 2010, an average of 1,320 deaths a year." he rambles on and I just smile at him.
"No, I didn't know that. I love when you do that though." I laugh a little bit.
"Do what?" He asks genuinely not knowing what he did to make me laugh.
"When you tell me all of those random facts or statistics. It's cute. I know the rest of the team shuts you down normally when you do that and they all make fun of you. I wish they wouldn't." I look into my coffee cup, dragging my finger around the edge of the mug.
He looks at me, long enough for me to ask him what's going on.
"What?" I say laughing a bit as he stares at me.
"You actually like when I do that? It's not annoying to you?" He takes a sip of his coffee.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I, it's interesting and when you ramble you look adorable and-"
Suddenly, I feel Spencer's lips on mine. The kiss lasts a minute before he pulls away and rubs the back of his neck. Looking down.
"I can't believe you just kissed me. I mean first of all why would you even do that, I know you don't like me. Second of all, I look disgusting." I laugh for a second.
Spencer looks at me with sad eyes. he brings himself closer to me. He furrows his brow before talking.
"You are beautiful (Y/N), I don't care if you've been running around in the rain for 15 hours, or if you have just showered and are completely ready for work, or if you haven't showered in a year and are wearing your glasses with a messy bun in your (H/C) hair. You'll always be beautiful to me, no matter what." Spencer smiles at you.
I scoot closer to him and wrap my arms around him, laying my head down on his chest. He pulls the blanket over the both of us and runs his hands through my hair. He places his head on top of mine. I look up at him, not moving from my spot on the couch with him.
"This is nice." I smile at him.
"It is pretty cold outside isn't it. This is pretty warm in here though. If I were you, I wouldn't want to go back out there for a while." He kisses the top of my head.
"I'm not going anywhere for the rest of the day."
"Unless we get a case that is." Spencer groans.
"Unless we get a case, but otherwise, i'm staying right here in your arms under this blanket for the whole entire day." I cuddle back up to his chest.
"I don't have any argument against why that shouldn't happen. By the way (Y/N), I do like you. A lot."
The rest of the day was spent just like that. Both of us snuggled up with each other. Watching the rain fall outside as we drank our coffee. And we didn't even get a case.
Hi everyone, this might be horrible but it's my first one so i tried. bare with me.
