You crawl out of the water coughing. Your hair drips with water and you can't find your mask. You look around for Vi and stand up. You see her laying a few feet away not moving. You rush over to her and check her heartbeat. Its still there but faint and slow. You put both of your hands on her chest and press down. You keep going until she coughs up water. She breathes in sharply and raises up.
Y/n: Oh thank God.
She looks around and runs her hand through her hair. You stand up and look around and suddenly you feel a radiating energy. Its not evil its just pure power, a figure stands in a tree and jumps down. You recognize who it is almost instantly.
Y/n: Fade!
He approaches you and looks from you to Vi.
F: I could sense Perfect Shadows energy. Did you see him?
Y/n: See him, he attacked us.
Fade takes off his mask and snaps his fingers, your suddenly in a cabin. Its decorated with samurai swords and artifacts from history and battles hes been in. He takes off the rest of his robe and sits down in front of you.
F: Tell me everything, why is he after you? What are his goals? Why is he here?
Y/n: Something about me being the next rift master and preventing me and Vi from getting to an island named Apollo.
His eyes widen in shock and he stands up. He crosses the room and gets something up from a panel in the floor. Its a rock of some kind, it glows with a pale blue hue. He places it in the palm of your hand and it begins to spark abd crackle with energy.
F: Theres no denying it. You are the next rift master.

Y/n: What does that mean?
F: A rift is a tear in reality, certain people can control the immense power.
Y/n: What do rifts do?
F: Teleportation, access to the in between, if you master it enough ability to hop between realities.
He gets up and notions for you to follow him. Vi gets up to follow you guys but he shakes his head. Vi sits back down and you follow him downstairs. He goes over to a locked box and puts his finger on it. He sends a pulse of energy through his finger and into where the lock is breaking it. He opens the box revealing a staff, he slowly picks it up and hands it to you.
F: I was told to give this to the next person I trained.
You slowly take it and it sends a jolt of energy through you. Your eyes widen and you get a vision.
It flashes through Drift and Fades battle, the creation of the staff. It all opens up to. You come out of the vision and look to Fade.
Y/n: I don't know if I'm ready for this responsibility.
F: You are, you are stronger than you believe. But dont go in pursuit selfishly for power as I did. You lose freinds, love, family, even your own humanity.
You gulp and nod your head gripping the staff even tighter. Your head spins processing everything youve learned. You walk back up stairs and sling the staff over your back.
Y/n: Hey Fade, were gonna need someone to train us.
F: It would be honored.

Almave
Welcome to AlmaVé. First thing you have to know is that it's a tragedy. Nope, not talking about my book yet. It's a tragedy that you're reading this instead of clicking on chapter 1. I did fail speech introductions after all. My story? Right that's what you're here for. My bad, try this: Lilia Hammond is reborn (cliché, but we all know we enjoy it when it's done for a purpose) as Syndra Sanmey. She was a graphic designer who hadn't caught her break yet. She was paralyzed for months before she was offered the opportunity to join a program that would allow her to-NOPE! not virtual reality. The doctors killed her and dumped her body. Tough. In her new world, Lilia has to fight herself to find out who she truly is. With the possibility to cast magic and a second chance at life, Lilia thinks she can really make something for herself. Her goal? Become the greatest artist the world had ever seen. The rub? World is a bit darker than anything she saw on earth. Thankfully, Lilia is getting quite familiar with the darkness inside her and her magic might just be the thing to save the-hey! wait it's not that kind of book. No saving the world. No hero syndrome. Just magic and blood and a bit of crafting. Yup. Fighting. Romance? Eh? What's that? The first arc is Lilia's shift from Earth to creating backstories for the three major characters. It's not funny and light. It's often dark and funny. Ah, I really should have gone through a punk-rock phase. Or goth. Would I look good with black hair? Hmm.. There are three MCs and they are Jackson, Daryl, and Lilia/Syndra. Daryl is currently kidnapped and Jackson just awakened his magic. I don't want to spoil (much) but soon things will be very fun to write. Hope to see you there! Leave a comment even if you're just stopping by so I can say hey! Chapters to be published twice weekly. The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.

Star Wars: Downfall
This is my take on what should've happened with Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker. The story is a technical rewrite of "Revenge of the Sith", but it features Ahsoka Tano. Also this IS Anisoka shipped. Please Enjoy :)

Meanwhile
So, have you ever wonder what minor characters think about the protagonist? the antagonist? It's time for a different perspective on the harem protagonist, on the eroge anti-heroism, on the reincarnated 12 year olds!P.S. From the maker of the most casual fan fiction of all time comes a dry humor comedy!
