It's very strange, people stare at you as you walk around the island. Whispiring about Fade and you as you walk through a place called Retail Row. A girl runs up to Catalyst and gives her a kiss on the lips. They hug and when they pull away from each other she looks at you in shock. She pulls a device from her pocket and points at you and it starts blaring.

Ro: Oh my god...

C: Yeah babe he's a rift master, just like Fade there. Oh yeah Y/n, Vi, Fade, this is Rox my girlfreind.

Ro: It's so nice to finally meet another rift master!

C: Her mother Singularity is a huge part of the Zero Point and the in between.

In between, you heard the word thrown around several times but still didnt know what it was. You continue to walk with them and see a strange orb.

Y/n: Hey Catalyst what is that?

C: Oh thats the Zero point, its what fuels your rift powers. It is also a bridge to diffrent realities, but most importantly it keeps this whole island alive.

V: Hey Catalyst how much farther till we get to Drift.

C: Not very far.

You eventually reach an area called Misty Meadows. You walk up a large hill to a large cabin. Catalyst knocks in the door and you hear someone rush to open it. A women with pink hair and very vibrant clothing opens the door. She gasps and drops everything shes holding.

Bb: C-catalyst honey, why are you with two members from the Oni clan?

C: Its fine mom their with me. Wheres dad at by the way.

Catalysts mom calls for Drift amd you hear someone walk down the stairs. He finally comes into view and he looks nothing like you envisioned. Blonde hair in a Mohawk and a pink jacket. He stops dead in his tracks and states at Fade, in a state of shock.

D: Fade what are you foing here?

F: We need your help Drift. This girl needs your training. And the boy, he's the next Rift Master.

Drift turns to you and Vi. He notions for everyone to come inside. He sits in a chair and everyone sits on the couches in the living room.

D: So why are you here?

F: Well you see-

D: Be quiet Fade I wasnt asking you I was asking the boy.

You look up suprised and he raises his eyebrow. He waves his hand in a circle clearly getting impatient. Vi says it for you.

V: Perfect Shadow is back.

Drift leans back in his chair and runs his hand over his face. He sighs and stands up.

D: I always knew the prophecy would come true.

He walks down the hall and notions for everyone to follow him. He goes under the stairs and pulls a lever pulling a book case away from the wall.

D: Follow me.

He grabs a flashlight and leads you down a set of stairs into a room. It's filled with books and scrolls, and several masks. He looks to Vi and points at her.

D: I have somethimg to give you.

He pulls a long box out from under the table. He unlocks it and it reveals a long crooked staff. He lifts it up and it crackles with the same pink energy on her arrows.

D: Its called the Crooked Claw, it's a very powerful weapon that the fox clan crafted many years ago. Use it wisely I sense much power in you. I will train you to use that power.

She takes the staff from his hands and pink electricity crackles from the blade of the claw, to the handle, up her arm. It energizes the patterns in her jacket than the glow disappears.

V: Whoa, what was that.

D: The Claw is now bonded with you, your energy matches itself. Oh yeah speaking of the Fox Clan what happened to them anyways?

You, Vi, and Fade look at each other nervously. You struggle to find the words to tell him what happened when Fade speaks up.

F: They got killed by Kondor, Perfect Shadow made him in an attempt to Kill Vi and Y/n.

D: Oh no, I'm sorry that happened to you guys.

You suddenly hear someone running down the and thumping down the stairs. A kid in a red hoodie and with Drifts blond hair and Brites brown hair jumps down the stairs.

D: Swift how many times have I told you about coming down here while I'm trying to do something.

S: Im sorry I just wanna tell Cat something.

C: What is it little bro?

S: I finally finished my mask yesterday!

Catalyst gives him a high five and your mind immediately flashes back to your little brother. You feel a tear roll down your cheek and you walk out if the room and out of the house. You immediately sit down and cradle yourself against your knees rocking back and forth. You feel a hand get placed on your shoulder and someone sit next to you.

V: Hey are you ok?

Y/n: No I'm not. I've tried to keep it together but I cant anymore. I have this huge title, but deep down im just a coward who doesn't know what to do.

Your silenced by Vi putting her finger on your lips shushing you.

V: "Listen, I feel the same. After my clan was slaughtered I felt lonely in the world. But than I found you, sure I hated you at first cause of the clan rivalry. But I soon seen you for who you were. Brave, kind, strong. You gave me sonething to strive toward. And for that I love you.

She stands up and offers a hand you. You take it and stand up, she grabs the bottom of your mask and lifts it up exposing your lips. She leans in for a kiss and you feel as your lips brush agianst hers. You hug her tightly as the both of you kiss passionately. You pull away from her and look at the sky.

Y/n: I'm ready.

Vi grabs your hand and looks at you, and you turn and look into her eyes.

V: Me to.

You both walk back in the house and back to Drift. Swift is circling around him asking rapid fire questions. When Drift sees the two of you coming he tells Swift to go.

S: Thats no fair! I wanna ask them questions.

D: Go ask your sister me and them have to talk about very important stuff.

Swift grumbles and stomps up the stairs. Drift watches as he goes up the stairs and you and Vi chuckle about him.

Y/n: He has an attitude dont he?

D: Thats all from his mother.

V: So what kind of powers do I have?

Drift tosses her a book and she catches it and looks at it. She brushes the dust off of the cover and looks at Drift obviously confused.

D: That will tell you everything you need to know.

Y/n: Hey um Drift where are we gonna sleep tonight?

D: I set you guys up a hotel just down at Misty Meadows. Just tell the guy at the front desk I sent you and he'll let you in.

You walk out of the house with Vi being stopped by Brite Bomber offering you Dinner in a paper sack.

B: Be here again tomorrow you guys ok?

Y/n: All right.

You walk down into Misty Meadows and into the hotel. Your meet by a woman in her early thirtys.

Y/n: Ummm Drift sent us here to spend the night.

W: Oh yeah follow me!

She hands you a key and brings you and Vi up the stairs.

W: Heres your room, if you need anything just tell me.

She walks down stairs and you unlock the room stepping in. You walk over to the bed and flop down.

Y/n: We're finally in Apollo.

V: Yeah I'm so excited to get some real training done.

Y/n: Im going to sleep.

V: Ok im going to read through this book.

You cover yourself and you feel Vi lean agianst your shoulder as you fall asleep.
