《ʜɪꜱ ɢᴏʟᴅᴇɴ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ ~ᴍɪᴅᴀꜱ x ʀᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ~》~First Day~

About a week passed by and I got closer and closer to the agents. We continued to spend the nights together doing random activities and other sorts.
Along with that, Midas would have me visit his office every afternoon so we could continue to organize all the information I knew. Sometimes we'd spend hours talking about everything other than Shadow. Midas was quite a storyteller and- he was actually a lot more soft than expected. But
I was crossing my fingers that soon we'd have enough to destroy the Shadow faction. I want everyone I care for to be safe!
I woke up on my comfy mattress and got ready for the day. I did my hair just how I like it and threw on a comfortable outfit for training.
I jogged out of my room and down to the gym/training area. On my way I bumped into Meowscles and gave him a little scratch under his chin as a greeting. I arrived at the entrance and pretty much everyone was there. Journey, Lynx, Skye, Tina, Maya, Peely, Brutus, Meows, Tek and Bushranger. Skye walked up to me and greeted me with a tired but sweet smile.
"Morning" I greet her.
She rubbed her eyes and stood next me.
"We stayed up way too late" She said through a yawn.
"Well that's what we get for playing monopoly with a rich mastermind Skye"
She giggled at my comment.
Rook, an assistant of Midas, called us to get a single file line. She held a clipboard against her chest.
Midas' POV:
I stood afar and supervised the training session. Rook asked everyone to line up while she scribbled on her clipboard.
I looked to the left of the gym and trailed my eyes through the line stopping at the sight of Y/N. She had a nervous smile across her face as she gave me a small wave.

I nodded my head in return and looked back at Rook as she asked what the agents wanted to try today.
A few called out some suggestions but I never caught what any of them said, as I was distracted by Y/N's kind gesture to Skye. She adjusted Skye's hat and gave her high-five, saying something to her I assume was a wish good luck. Skye lit up and put on a seriously determined face, which made me crack a smile.
"Alright everyone!" Rook looked up. "Lets warm up!" She grinned.
"Who would like to go against Y/N in hand to hand?". Y/N peeked out of line and looked for her opponent. Y/N had mentioned she did a lot of boot-camps under Shadow's standards, so I am not completely sure how their training works.
Lynx volunteered. "Sure, I'll do it".
Y/N's POV:
Back in the Shadow facilities we would be harmed as a punishment if we lost a hand to hand battle. Midas glanced over at me and nodded again.
-
I felt sweat slide down my forehead, my breathing was shallow.
I felt someone slap my back to congratulate me "Holy shit" Lynx laughed. "That was really good!" She smiled.
"Hhh- Th-Thanks" I had won three out of four battles. My chest burned from the horrendous breathing.
Everyone left the gym after congratulating me, leaving Midas and I.
He examined Rook's clipboard and looked back at me. "Well done" Midas nodded in approval.
"Thank you" I huffed.
I was given a water bottle and I finished it faster than intended.
"That was actually remarkable work, you have much more skill than I believe anyone else here has" Midas remarked.
"Thanks Midas, but you're probably the most experienced person here" I rested my head against the wall.. After I realized my breathing was stable, I got up and grabbed Skye's radio.

"Do you care about Skye?" Midas asked randomly.
"Of course, she's a good kid! She's like a little sister to me...almost like a daughter even! ...though I've never had one" I laugh lightly. "Why do you ask?"
"When I first established the agency Maya had found Skye all alone out there, she had no parents. Even though she could well enough take care of herself I decided to take her in and ended up adopting her" He looked at me with a soft expression. "I just noticed you seem to be very fond of her and TnTina that I thought you should know"
I nod, "Well that's good to know, I do love those two...anyway, I-I'll see you this afternoon Midas!" I smile then wave goodbye. Making my way to Skye's room to return her radio.

The Wolf Saga, Wolf that Devours Empires
The Empire of Human is about to enter a turbulent era. A World Power has fallen. But mere hours after dying, he is reborn as a half-human, half-elf boy named Wolf. The story follows this odd boy as he grows up, his relationship with his father and those around him, his lack of common sense from being raised in the wilderness, and his desire for revenge. Witness Wolf's journey as he aspires to climb to the peak of the world to unravel its mysteries, and as he tries to figure out why it’s wrong to decapitate a street thug when the man tries to mug you. “I mean, the man literally said ‘Money or life,’ so what’s the big deal?” Releases Mon/Wen/Fri. (GMT-ish) Trigger warning. The Wolf Saga may not be suited for you if any of the following disturbs you: - The story will have fighting and killing. The gore will not be explicit, but there will be descriptions such as "head burst like a melon", "instantly turned to cinders", "blood splashed/fountained" etc. Most of the violence will be performed by the protagonist, some of it before he reaches his teens. If such scenes bother you, you should probably give Wolf a pass. - The story will have sexual content. It's there for a reason. Once again, these scenes will not be explicit. Genitals will be mentioned sometimes, but never described in detail. Nude bodies will be described in passing, without too many specific details. If you're afraid of nipples, you should probably give Wolf a pass. - The story will have a decent amount of cursing. If you haven't given up by now, this is unlikely to bother you. Still, I believe I should forewarn you that a number of curse words will be making appearance from time to time. - The story will have no small amount of loss for the main character. If you enjoy novels in which everything is fine, the protagonist makes it at the last moment and saves the day... This is not such a story. Life happens. As a reader, I'm annoyed with heroes making it in the nick of time, so for the sake of fairness I used dice on a number of occasions, making do with the result. Sometimes it was anticlimactic, sometimes it was tragic and it led to the story you see before you. Dedication: This story is written for Tired Mom and Wolf, whose arrival the rest of the pack is eagerly awaiting. Thanks: I would like to thank Tired Mom for her proofreading and encouragement over the years. I would like to thank you, Dear Reader, for taking the time to read this big pile of words.
