《DevilDice: the special show》Part 2 - nothing but trouble
Advertisement
It was the next day and Dice wasn't even letting his minions help him get ready. He was walking back and forth in his changing room while one of Dice's card minions where dangling off of his back to adjust Dice's collar. Dice finally stopped in place and flopped down onto his chair. He spun around and looked at his mirror like he did every morning. Instead of seeing his usual handsome face (😏) he saw the spots on his head worn out and pale, deep eye bags and eyes that had completely lost their shine. His reflection jumped at the sight and even tried whipping its own face to make it look better, but it didn't help and it broke down into dramatic groans while gripping parts of its face for dear life. Dice rolled his eyes and stood up straight. Today he worked in the casino and had to walk quite the while to get there. Dice adjusted himself, rubbed his eyes and headed out the door. Dice's show called 'roll the dice" wasn't on today. Devil changed the days the casino was open so Dice could work on the show and work in the casino.
Dice burst through the door just 2 hours before the casino was going to open. All of the employees turned to look at him. Pirouletta was standing on the stage with Mr Wheezy. Pip and dot where on the floor trying to grabs pips blue hat from under a table. Dice paid no attention to the fact everyone was looking at him and just sat down at the bar. Pirouletta came up to him.
"Oh my goodness! Dice! What has gotten ya' so upset?..."
Pip finally got his hat back and him and his wife came up to Dice as well.
"Yeah Dice, you look worse than the Devil when he gets out of bed in the mornin'!"

Pip and Dot both said this in unison while Pip is adjusting his hat.
Then the Devil bursts in from behind the stage, completely knocking Mr Wheezing over and onto the floor. Pip and Dot watched in horror as they saw the Devils face and hid behind Dice. Dice still hadn't spoke and was just sitting there, trying to avoid eye contact with everyone, especially Devil.
""
Devil looked over at Dice. Dice could feel Devil's cold eyes on the top of his head and wanted the Devil to look away.
""
Everyone glanced over at Dice and Pip and Dot crawled out from behind him. The whole room was quiet before Dice broke the silence.
"Yes boss..."

Follow a collection of chance encounters turned potential allies as numerous forces work to tear through the fabric of reality. Viamarr, a continent in the world of Rinterria, holds host to our tale and to the city of High Morr, which sits snugly on its frozen island in the middle of a great frostbitten lagoon. When High Morr is suddenly crippled by a series of mysterious sinkholes, our heroes do what they do best. Try to run. Keep up with them to find out where they end up and what exactly is chasing them in return. I hope to publish a new chapter 3 times a week. This is reduced from my previous number, hopefully temporarily, due to an increased workload outside of Royal Road.
