"Mommy, you going? " Louis to me with his puppy eyes and a mouth full of toast

"Yeah, I need to go to work honey, the weekend is over already "

"I'm sorry I couldn't spend much time with you Louis "

Aiden cleared his throat after swallowing the bite he took out of his sandwich " he got to stay with the cool uncles he doesn't need you anymore, right champ?" he looked at Louis smirking and so did Joshua to which he answered by nodding his head frantically and smiling wide

"wow, thanks guys, I feel valued "

"just get up lazy queen "

"fine " I was about to get up and put my used coffee cup In the dishwasher but Aiden pulled it out of my hand

"Just get out already, it's a cup, it won't kill us to put it away instead of you "

"I'm so proud our baby bro grew up Amanda " Joshua wiped a fake tear and hugged me from the side, pulling my hand close to his face so he can wipe the fake tears with my shirt "after twenty-four years, finally..he-he.. he's going to put a cup in the dishwasher"

Aiden shot him a glare before he glanced at Louis then back at josh as if telling him' only because there's a kid in here'

I chuckled at the two of them then pushed Joshua's weight away from me "let's go, or we'll be late and I won't be able to meet Vic "

"I should go with you someday, it's been so long since I last saw her" Aiden spoke taking another bite of his sandwich

"not you " Joshua glared at him playfully but I knew there was a bit of truth in what he was saying ...jealous Dumbo

"let's go already!" I pushed him out leading him to the front door so we can go "I won't be late Aiden I'll make sure to be here to pick you up for the shooting " I told Aiden before the two of us were done wearing our footwear to leave

"Okay, thanks sis"

"BYE!" Joshua yelled before closing the door and locking it behind us

"SEE YA!"

"oh my god! I finally got to meet you again !" I was hugged so tight before I could even see her face

"hi... Vic " I said awkwardly which made Joshua chuckle

"let go of her Vic, so she can at least see your face "

"oh yeah right" she pulled away and stood there sheepishly, I looked at her face for the first time after years

"you grew up to be extremely beautiful Vic "

"thank you, you too"

"Are you saying that I'm old? " I tried to sound like I was offended and that took her off guard

"oh no! I didn't mean it that way! I mean you look younger than what you are ...oh god no! I mean yo-"

"it's fine Vic, she's messing around with you .. stop teasing her Amanda" Joshua was trying his best to hold the laugher while he pretended to be glaring at me but it didn't work

He burst out and turned away to face the wall of his office

"Joshua! " her reaction made me chuckle slightly so she turned to me " not you too !"

"Sorry, sorry ...Joshua!" I hissed at him and he stopped, well barely stopped, his face was about to explode in any second

"anyways, how are you doing? "

"I'm good, dealing with him "she pointed at Joshua and rolled her eyes which made his face harden and the laughter he was struggling to hold, disappeared as if it never was there to begin with

Now it was her time to laugh at him, his eyes widened when she did and he head locked her with her screaming and laughing, hitting his side trying to escape his hold

The two of them were laughing ..and guess what I was doing?

"I'll be going, now, I have patients to attend to "

That got their attention since they stopped and looked at me

"wait! we didn't get to talk "

"some other day Vic, maybe when he brings you home since the whole family would love to meet you again..anyway I'm happy I got to see you "

"Thank you Mad, I'm happy I got to see you again too, I'll make sure to come...that if he wants me to" she glanced at Joshua before she turned to me with a sheepish smile

"he will, he's just a bit awkward and...stupid"

"hey! I didn't bring you here to make fun of me"

"you brought me here as your big sister and that sweety is what big sisters do" I stuck my tongue at him, earning a chuckle from her part

"whatever!... careful on your way"

"JUST GO ALREADY!"

We chuckled at his annoyance before we exchanged our byes and I left the scene for the two lovebirds

"Do you know why I did so? ..she took my man ..SHE TOOK HIM AWAY FROM ME !! "

Morbid jealousy, I looked at the tablet I had in hand and took the notes that I will add on the patient's chart later before my body alerted me with the silence that just took place in the room

I lifted my eyeballs to train them on her and found her staring at me which is a bad sign

She was staring at me this whole time, not saying anything, not even blinking

"you want him too, don't you? YOU WANT TO STEAL HIM! YOU BIT** !" All it took was one second for her to jump from her seat and reach my neck, strangling me before the door flung open with security who pulled her away from me, the perks of having surveillance cameras...

That was my fourth patient of the day but not the last

"How are you today? "

"I'm fine " he kept looking away from me the same way as usual

"do you mind looking at me? "

"yeah, you hurt them last time and they left me, they were mad at me, I don't want them to go, they are my friends .. I shouldn't let them get hurt "

He looked around and got closer to me whispering "they will hurt you, they don't like me having new friends "

"WE CAN! " he yelled, his head shaking and his breath was getting faster

His schizophrenia got worse after the death of his twin sister, he can't stay with his family anymore as he can get violent and they won't be able to handle him which might end up in someone getting hurt... he needs to stay under control...

"Okay, I'm sorry, I won't bother you anymore okay? "

As I am on his list now, I believe he's a case that I had to pull away from ..just leave him to someone who can handle him without security if needed

as I was done with the sessions, I had to go back home, so I can drive Aiden to the shooting site, so I left from work going down to the parking lot and heading to my car, dialing my fellow doctor and classmate Pete on the way

"Hello? Pete?"

"Hi! how are you doing Amanda? It's been a while "

"good, Peter ..I'll cut to the chase, I actually I called because of a patient" I told him while unlocking my car and riding it

"of course you did, that's not new to me "

I chuckled at that, touching my neck since it hurts from the strangling that took place a while ago "well, I have a nineteen schizophrenic patient, he's in a late-stage basically, he needs to stay under surveillance, I believe I can trust you with him "

I turned to the rearview mirror to check if my neck was bruised and it was but not that bad

"sure thing, send him to my clinic, I will welcome him just for your sake " his words managed to draw a smile on my face before I dropped the weight of my body on my seat

Right at that moment, I heard a bit of commotion around me, I looked around and a couple caught my eyes in the parking lot making my smile drop, the woman was crying and fretting as the man was trying to hug her and calm her down but she was fighting and pushing him away

"M? you still there?"

"Peter"

"yeah?"

"I was hoping I could ask you a favor "

" ask away "

"can I get an appointment? " I said turning to look away from them and stare at the wheel that was in front of me with my heart racing in my chest almost popping out of it

to my horror, the other line fell silent...

"Peter? "

"any time, no need to ask" I noticed the drop in his voice and how all the playfulness disappeared but that was normal, it just meant he realized that I had something troubling me

"thank you, have a nice day "

"I will .. stay safe "

I let out a breath of relief when I hung up

What was I even afraid of?

My life has already taken some huge turns to which I had to take a stronger grip on the wheel and turn it back; putting it back right I wanted, not knowing that I was meeting a dead end after

I know I have to face Henry again, there was truly no running away from this, but I still can't accept defeat, I am not letting the wheel go, I have decided to have full control and I'm not leaving anyone take over any more
