I woke up a couple of hours later covered in sweat. I'd not just had a nightmare of that fucking evil spirit thing trying to drag me out the bed.
My heart was pounding so hard at my rib cage I thought it was going to wake the house up.
I went downstairs into the kitchen and grabbed a glass out the cupboard, filled it with water and took a big gulp; still trying to slow down my heart beat.
The light switched on and I shit myself. The glass slipped out my hand and smashed on the floor. I snapped my head around to see Dan stood there in his boxers.
"Fucking hell Dan, you just scared the shit out of me" I whisper bending down and begin to pick up the broken pieces of glass.
"What you doing stood in here in the dark?" He replied walking over to me. "Don't pick that up you'll hurt yourself."
"Ouch" I shout quietly standing up and looking at my finger. There was a cut with blood running down it.
I looked at the blood and felt myself going light-headed.
"Don't look at it" I heard Dan tell me faintly.
I woke up on the sofa, my head on someone’s lap. My eyes flickered open; I glanced up and saw Dan looking back at me. "What happened?"
"You passed out" He replied stroking my cheek gently.
"Oh right" I reply blushing embarrassed.
"Why did you look at your finger? You know you pass out at the sight of blood." He laughed
"I duno" I replied lifting my head up slowly. I sat up next to him and looked at my finger which was now all plastered up. "Check you out doc."
"Couldn't have your finger pissing out blood all over our lovely new sofa now could I."

"Whatever" I laugh
"Why were you awake anyway?"
"Errr." I couldn't tell him I'd had a nightmare. Only kids have nightmares.
"Couldn't sleep" I replied
"Liar because when I came up to bed you were flat out"
I sighed and whispered, “Okay fine. I woke up as I had a nightmare”
“Because of that movie?” Dan asks me
“Yea. It really scared me”
“Aww” Dan says pulling me into a hug. “That make you feel any better?”
“Much better, thanks Dan”
“No problem, best get back to bed” he smiles
“Yea, it’s late”
We walk back up the stairs and into our own separate rooms. I slide back into bed and try to get back to sleep. I looked at the clock, 1.05am.
I closed my eyes and woke again. I glanced at the clock 1.15am.
For fucks sake.
I attempted to go back asleep again, but all I did was lay there.
I glanced at the clock again, 1.36am.
FUCK THIS!

So she decides to build something to help all her little monster family be safe. -------This story is meant to be a behind the scenes look at stories about kids solving problems that should be beyond them. I always wanted to see a story about Professor Oak, Dumbledore, or any other mentor who trains the main characters. I like the idea of someone looking at the apocalyptic world and deciding to make it safe enough that a small child can wander off and make some monster their pet. The pokemon games have fun systems to consider the behind the scenes workings of, like what training a team rocket member goes through to become a villain cut out for children to defeat. how they prevent a deific pokemon from accidentally murdering some little rat with its immense psionic power. However, the story itself is not really meant to be a pokemon parody, I draw inspiration from every genre of fiction, any type of game, this story is the only one I plan of ever writing without a clear cut ending planned, I love the infinite storytelling capacity of things like Doctor who's TARDIS, the Stargate or Rick's portal gun.
