Today was Thursday and I had the day off work as did Dan. I was lay in bed facing the wall, the duvet pulled up to my chin. I felt really distant to him these past two days, knowing Amy’s scan was coming up I guess made it worse. I know me and Dan weren’t ready for a baby but right now I think being pregnant myself would make me feel more secure in my relationship. Dan paying me attention instead of Amy...I know that’s selfish but he’s mine not hers. I felt Dan pull me into him, his arms holding me securely in his arms. As soon as his arms touched me, I burst into tears.

“I’m so sorry .” He whispered

“I’m just so scared Dan.”

“About what ?” he asks lifting my head up to look at him

“That I’m going to lose you...I can feel us drifting apart already.”

“It’s just hard , but I’m never letting you go okay. Me and you are forever. I gave you my promise.” He smiled touching my ring

I smiled glancing down at the ring securely placed on my finger. Dan linked his fingers through mine, rubbing his thumb across the top of my hand. “I love you, that will never change Tink.”

“I love you too Dan.” I smile as he wipes my tears away before kissing me tenderly.

I unlinked my fingers from his, wrapping my arms around his neck pulling him down on top of me. I wanted to feel close to him right now, I needed to.

Our tongue battling one another’s, getting more passionate by the second. I gasped for breath as he began kissing down my neck, his hand rising up my night top.

“Oh fuck off.” Dan shouted covering us with the quilt as we continued.

“Dan we need to talk urgently.” Amy moaned

“Amy we are in the middle of something....fuck off.” I screamed

“I’ll be downstairs waiting...hurry up.” she replied slamming Dan’s bedroom door shut. You could hear the smirk in her tone, she was happy about the shit she was causing.

“Ignore her .” Dan whispered stroking my cheek

“Just go Dan.” I say pushing him off me

“What…Liv…no come on down let her ruin this.” He whispers softly to me, pulling me in close.

“She’s already ruined it...just go see what she wants.” I snap before getting out of his bed and walking into the bathroom and turning on the shower. I heard him sigh and get out of bed.

The bedroom door slammed shut for the second time before heavy footsteps hitting the stairs below me. I washed my hair and cleaned my body before crumpling into a lump on the shower floor allowing the hot water to fall over my body. I wrapped my arms around my bent up knees, resting my head on my arms allowing my steady tears to fall.

I wished Amy would just leave us alone, I hated her, hated her more than anyone. Even more than Joe.

I heard shouting from downstairs and got out the shower. I wrapped a towel around me and another round my hair before trudging down to my room where I could hear the raised voices again. Dan and Amy arguing.

I changed into a pair of grey joggers, one of Dan’s baggy tops and threw my hoody on top then quickly put my hair up into a scruffy bun. I put some socks on before walking downstairs to where Dan and Amy were at each others throats.

“This is all your fault” She screamed pointing her chipped nail at me.

“What the hell?” I reply walking over to them “What is your problem? You have no reason to be pissed off right now.”

“Oh…I think I do.”

“What then?” I ask sarcastically, folding my arms. “What could you possibly be pissed off over?”

“Why the hell did you tell Dan the wrong date to the scan?”

“Excuse me?” I say completely shocked, my arms falling to my sides.

“I told you that the scan was today at 10 o’clock.”

“No you told me that it was tomorrow, Friday the 13th.”

“I know you don’t like the fact that Dan and I are having a baby together Liv, but how could you lie to stop him being there.”

“I never.” I reply. I can’t believe this bitch it doing this. I looked at Dan who was staring at his feet. “Dan do you think i did it?”

“No.” He replied “But why would she lie?”

“I know a few reasons why.” I snap at him

“I know you hate her.” He says to me

“That is common knowledge and not a recent finding either.” I reply looking at him

“You believe her don’t you...you believe I purposely changed the date.”

Once again Dan took too long to answer my question.

“Dan?” I ask shocked that he could actually think that of me

“Why would I lie Danny? I wanted you there today...look here’s the picture of the scan.” She smirked passing him the black and white photograph.

“Oh wow.” He gasped looking at it, I could see the excitement in his eyes “I can’t believe I missed it.”

“I wish you were there as well ” Amy replied looking sad walking over to him, standing very close to him as they both looked at the scan, her hand now resting on his arm holding her scan picture.

“Just a shame SHE had to ruin it for us.”

Dan eyes met mine as mine over flowed with tears.

“You know what Dan...if you really believe I could do this. Honestly deep down think I would do this to you...then it’s obviously you don’t know me like you’re meant to. We’re done…Amy you’re welcome to him.”

“Liv no.” He says quickly, panic on his face handing the scan back to Amy

“Fuck you Dan. You are not the boyfriend I thought you were.” I cry running out the house as fast as I could and down the street.
