"Hello?"
"Y/n hey Are you free today by any chance"
"Yeah what's wrong?"
"Just wanna talk, do you think you can meet me at that small cafe near the gazette?"
"Of course"
"Great, see you then"
"Wait"
"I wonder what that was about," you said as you placed your coffee on the table, Amira never even gave you a time to meet so you assumed she meant right now
You groaned as you put on your shoes and headed out the door, tomorrow you had work, and let's just say you'd be at your desk all day tomorrow
You weren't too excited about that, more like not excited at all but it didn't matter, right now all that mattered was Amira
She never sounded so dull and slightly scared before, it worried you thoughts of what might have her like this filled your mind
"Boyfriend problem maybe?" you thought
"Nah that couldn't be it she never calls me about those things so then what was it," you thought as you arrived at the small cafe
You were so thankful you lived close to the gazette and the cafe so you didn't exactly have to drive
"Y/N!" Amira shouted as you walked into the small cafe, she waved at you and gestured for you to come over to the small table in the corner she was sitting at
"Hey! So what did you wanna talk about?" you asked you took a seat in front of her
"Well before I go into that, how have you been?" she asked and took a sip of her coffee
"Good actually," you said
"Good actually? That's new did something happen?" she teased and laughed as she looked at you curiously
"Well" you started
"Hey wait," she said as her eyes wandered from your face to your neck eyes widening when she saw a red mark

"ARE THOSE FUCKING-"
"SHHHHH" you shushed her, sighing as you forgot to cover the marks when you left the house
"Who the fuck have you been getting it from hm?" she questioned as she took another sip of her coffee this time her eyes never looking away from yours as she did
"Well I was going to get into that before you got all crazy" you laughed
"Wait don't tell me it's your partner, what was his name again Jed?" she said as she pretend to think about it
"Maybe"
"Score"
"WHAT?" you whispered yelled tilting your head at her
"I just knew you guys had something going on, even if I only saw you guys together like once" she explained nodding her head
"Yeah right," you said as you crossed your arms and gave her a look
"I did I swear, I just know you know?" she said as she laughed
"So was it good?"
"WHAT," you said slightly thrown off by her question
"I'm just joking with you" she laughed
"Good, plus we haven't gone that far yet anyways," you said as you felt your face become warm, trying not to laugh as you looked away
You always liked talking or hanging out with Amira even if it wasn't too often that you guys did
She was always so chill and easygoing, and sometimes you really thought that she could make a whole room of people smile or laugh without even trying
"Okay but really how did this all start anyway?" she asked as she came down from her laughing
"I don't know," you said,
"Oh cmon there has to be something, did you guys have the same interest in something?" she said as she looked at you genuinely curious
"Well I like that he carries a camera around all the time, it seems weird to most, but I just think it's cute when he takes pictures of things that catch his interest, it's like a little hobby of his" you smile feeling your face hurt from it

"Omg I almost forgot this one time we went out for dinner and it started raining and I had the great idea of dancing in the rain together, he said he liked to slow dance so I couldn't let a great opportunity slide like that," You smiled as you continued to explain to Amira
"I had felt his camera in his pocket and we ended up taking a photo in the rain, we got completely soaked, but it was just so fun we couldn't stop laughing even when we got to my house" You couldn't stop yourself from smiling anymore from the fond memory
Once you calmed down you looked at Amira
And she looked at you with her head resting in her hand smiling at you
"I don't think you noticed it, but you're glowing just talking about him right now," she said
Your eyes slightly widen for a second but soon after you smile again
"Yeah well I think he's just amazing," you said as you fidgeted with your fingers
"So are you guys dating or something?"
"Well uh" it had never crossed your mind until now but you didn't exactly know what you and Jed were
It was obvious you two had feelings for each other, but maybe neither one of you thought about it cause you were too caught up in one another's affection
"Don't tell me you aren't even together yet" Amira said as she frowned a bit
"I guess it's sorta complicated," you said and laughed awkwardly
"Well from what I'm getting here, it seems like you both really like each other," she said and played with the top of her empty cup
"Wait but I haven't even told you anything else" you started
"I don't think you need to tell me anything else considering those marks on your neck, did you forget about them already?" she teased
"Well still" you laughed
"Right, anyways I have to get going sadly"
"Wait but you didn't tell me about what you needed to though," you said as you looked at her worried
"Oh yes about that, Just uh be careful when you go out at night or just in general, I didn't wanna bring it up when you were talking about your boyfriend, who's not actually your boyfriend yet but, last night I was being followed and with the murders that are happening, just be careful Y/n, please," she said and stood up from her chair
"I have to get going now, but give me and call or a text, it was really fun catching up with you, keep me updated with everything," she said and walked to the entrance waving at you as she walked out
"See you at work tomorrow!" you yelled as you waved at her watching her walk out
You sighed slouching in your chair a bit contemplating getting up to order a drink
You suddenly felt your phone buzz and you pulled it out of your pocket and checked it
"Y/N UP FOR MOVIES TONIGHT? :D"
You smiled at the text, how ironic that he texted you while you were sitting in the place you met him at
You giggled a bit and texted him back
"ALWAYS :)"

Legends of Balarel - A Leisurely LitRPG
Glenn Redwood has longed to become an Adventurer since he was a young boy, and has focused every waking moment on that goal since turning 14. Answering the challenge of the Gods of Balarel, he has fought Monsters, Leveled, and grown stronger. Yet the day before his 16th birthday, the day he will earn his dream or lose it forever ... the Gods have made a wager. And no mere mortal wishes to draw the attention of the Gods. ***** This is my crack at writing a leisurely LitRPG. My focus is more on telling interesting stories set in a world where people live under a MMORPG-like ruleset enforced by the Gods, and less on writing another story where the MC gets massive stat boosts every chapter before heading off to wreck the world. There will be plenty of blue tables (it’s LitRPG!) but my Adventurers are just starting out. This fic is about the journey, not the destination, so expect everyone to Level ... leisurely. Updates: M-T-W-Th. I’ll post 3000-4000 words a day, or 12000-15000 words a week. If this posting pace ends up being too much for me, I reserve the right to slow posts down a bit. Inspirations: Blessed Time (Royal Road) Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? (Anime) Trails in the Sky (JRPG Series) MC: My MC is a genuinely good person who’s both a talented warrior and tactically savvy. He prefers to solve problems without violence but will resort to force if necessary to protect his friends or innocent people. I’m tired of stories starring anti-hero MCs facing endless doom and gloom, so I wanted to write a nice guy with an adventurous spirit who helps people in a thriving fantasy world. That’s all.

The Everyday Life of A Pathfinder
Pathfinders are people who are respected and revered, not because of power or might, but because of knowledge of the world. They are the peacekeepers between humans and nature. Guiding humans through the most dangerous areas known to man and killing any species which attempts to throw off the balance of the natural world. This is their job - and their passion. *** Note: This story is going to have a few generic elements in it, like fantasy setting, guilds, cursing and stuff like that. A few (a lot) of things it won’t have is: Overly bloody descriptions, I don’t need to have enough buckets of gore to fill a ballroom for people to get that guy is defiantly dead; Rape, I don’t like it and it’s honestly painful writing that stuff; Harems, fuck harems; Overpowered MC, EVER; Game elements/ transported to another world, overused as shit; “I’m out for revenge”, no one cares; “My village was burned down and everyone died ;-;”, yeah you and the other 60% of the population; A lot of overly dramatic events, Drama has its time and place to be impactful, so you need to use it sparingly so when you do it’s special; “I’m going to stab you because I’m CrAZy, I believe that everyone has a reason for what they do, sometimes the reason is because they’re fucking insane, but I’m still not going to write things like that; Generic fantasy creatures, I’m tired of hearing about the fucking mystical dragons or the god damn slimes, so I’m going to create my own monster. Also feel free to roast. I don't get offended easily and it's honestly one of the best ways to increase writing abilites.
