"Welcome back to Chicago, Stefan" Klaus said while getting off of the car, using his vampire speed to open the door to Ares and Aphrodite as the sisters walked side by side, with a strange silence around them.
"What are we doing here?" The annoying Salvatore asked as he left the car, sighing deeply as he looked around them.
"I know how much you loved it here. Bringing back memories of the good old ripper days" Klaus said, looking at the goddesses and knew that something was wrong, but decided to not interrupt their moment and kept Stefan's attention away from them.
"Blocked out most of them. A lot of blood, a lot of partying. The details are all a blur" he answered and Ares snapped back into the conversation, leaning her head on Klaus' shoulder as she said "Well, that's a crying shame, it was the only time I could at least tolerate your presence"
Aphrodite smiled seductively, her emerald green eyes meeting Stefan's as she continued "The details are what makes it legend"
Flashback
Word was the ripper of Monterrey got lonely, so he escaped to the city for comfort. It was prohibition, everything was off limits then, which made everything so much fun.
Cork pops, people shattering, a woman dressing all white sang beautifully with the musicians.
"Guess who my eyes have just spied, ladies? Looking for a good time, Mr. Salvatore?" The singer asked as her eyes meeting his over the crowd as he answered loudly "Save me a dance, Gloria"
Stefan went to take a drink when a beautiful blonde took it, making the man turn around to face her as he said "Ooh. Please, help yourself"
She looked at him with the typical Mikaelson's superiority, saying a simple "oh, I always do" going closer to him as she continued in a quieter tone "Careful, Mr. Salvatore. You're still wearing your date. She's lovely" a smirk rising on her face as she saw his expression, before she turned to leave.

"No, no, no. Who are you?" Stefan asked, intrigued by Rebekah, but he didn't receive an answer, his eyes immediately traveled to where she was going as he saw a couple smiling at each other, the blonde man was feeding from the red haired girl that was sitting on his lap, not carrying if anyone saw them. Right beside the couple, a beautiful woman sat on the top of a table, a couple of people around her as they gazed at the brunette with lustful looks.
End of the flashback
"Chicago was magical" Klaus said as he looked at Ares, pulling her closer as he kissed her forehead affectionately, making a little blush appear on her face and he smirked noticing this. Aphrodite had a giant smile on her face as she looked at the couple, probably thinking that they were the best thing she did in her life.
"Yeah, well, I'll take your word for it. Like I said, I don't remember most of it" Stefan answered, making the wolves that were laying on the ground beside their family growl at him, their eyes changing to red for a moment, but it was so fast that it made Stefan imagine if it was just the lights.
"Why am I still with you? We had our fun, your hybrids failed. I mean, don't you want to move on?" He continued, ignoring the warming growls, making Ares' face change back to her usual glare.
"We're going to see my favorite witch. If anyone can help us with our hybrid problem, it's her" Klaus said, making Aphrodite groan, rolling her eyes as an amused grin appeared on her sister's face.
"Do we have to? You know that we can figure it out without her help, Nik" she said grumpily, making Niklaus' face harden as he said sternly "I don't want you both owning anything to anyone in your family" making Stefan look curious at this information.
Arriving the empty place, they almost immediately heard an "You got to be kidding me" from a familiar face.

"So a hybrid walks into a bar, says to the bartender-" Klaus started with his usual smirk, making Aphrodite giggle and Ares laugh quietly, while rolling their eyes playfully at him.
"Stop. You may be invincible, but that doesn't make you funny. I remember you" Gloria said, making Ares snort, wrapping her arms around the hybrid's face while Aphrodite rolled her eyes in annoyance, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"You're Gloria" Stefan said, making the witch hum in agreement as she looked at each of them, her eyes stopping for a moment longer when she saw the goddesses, making Niklaus' smirk widen.
"Shouldn't you be-" the vampire continued, getting interrupted by the witch as she said "Old and dead? Now if I die, who's gonna run this place, huh?"
"Gloria's a very powerful witch" Aphrodite said mockingly as she got closer to the witch, that continued "I can slow the aging down some, herbs and spells" eying wearily the goddess as she finished the witch's sentence "But don't worry, it'll catch up to you one day, sweetheart"
Ares bit her lip, trying to stop her laughter as she looked at the vampire with a more serious face "Stefan, why don't you go hunt some bunnies?" Klaus sighed, but looked at his former friend, saying "why don't you go and fix us up a little something from behind the bar"
The youngest Salvatore hesitated for a little, before muttering "Yeah, sure thing" as he left.
"I know why you're here. A hybrid out to make more hybrids? That kind of news travels-" Gloria started as she saw Aphrodite follow Stefan to the bar.
"Gloria , dear, we don't want to know about your gossips, if you know what we need why don't you start saying what we want to hear? Our time is quite precious, I don't like people wasting it" the goddess of war snapped, looking at the witch directly in the eyes.
Gloria shuddered at the tone of the red haired girl, her eyes going to the side as she saw the hybrid putting his hand on his wife's leg, getting her to relax a little.
"Look, every spell has a loophole, but a curse that old... we'd have to contact the witch who created it... or your sister" she said, whispering the final sentence as she saw Ares' eyes go completely red.
"Well, they're not available at the moment, one is very dead and the other is a little busy getting tortured, which is exactly what'll happen to you if you don't start being useful!" Ares eyes were a dark red with slitted pupils, it looked something demoniac, making the witch take a step back as her body started to shake from fear.
"... I-I... uhh... bring me Rebekah, she has what I need. Bring her to me" she started, stuttering in the beginning, before she finished with a little more confidence as she saw that the goddess' eyes had turned back to her green ones.
"What's this?" They heard the vampire asking, making Ares look at him annoyed, as she leaned her back against Klaus' chest.
"I told you, Chicago's a magical place" Niklaus answered, putting his head on top of Ares' as he drew some patterns on her waist with his hands.
"But this is us" the vampire said troubled, while showing the picture of himself and Niklaus.
Aphrodite smirked a little and said "Maybe that's your doppelgänger, Stefan" making Klaus laugh and Ares observe the vampire's face closely, seeing the slight change in his features, which got her to immediately lock eyes with her sister.
She said in her mind, Aphrodite's eyes widened at what she heard, the wolves growled inside their mind link too as they looked at the vampire that had lied to them after all this months.
