《War》I Will Protect You... Always

"Hey, little soldier, what about a game?" Ares asked, cracking her head to the side as a sadistic smirk raised on her face.
Damon took his ring off, making it change into a rifle before he looked at his mother with a childish grin, quickly stepping beside her.
"Who kills off more huntresses gets to choose the next meal?" Damon suggested, his grin widening, eyes sparkling with mischief as his mother laughed while nodding her head.
"You got a deal, little soldier... game on" and with this, the bloodbath started, the sounds of the gun shooting and the flesh ripping from Ares' whip like weapon filled the space, the screams of their victims almost deafening.
They moved in synchrony, quickly pinpointing the location of the huntresses of Artemis, fighting back to back as they started to circle the duo.
The smiles on their faces indicated just how much fun it was for them, the scene was terrorizing for the humans, Elena, who was standing hidden, threw up at the amount of blood they were shredding, tears running down her face as she felt the sickening feeling on her stomach.
Katherine looked at them in curiosity, biting her lip in hesitation as she saw one of the huntresses sneaking up behind Damon. The vampire quickly appeared behind the woman, breaking her neck in a matter of seconds, and kneeling down to observe the magical bow.
The sound of an arrow piercing through the air made a gasp leave her mouth before she quickly looked over her shoulder. Ares saw it happening and before anyone could blink she appeared in front of the doppelgänger, stoping the arrow midair.
Katherine looked at her in amazement, it should have been flying over 300 feet per second, with her vampire speed she wouldn't be able to dodge since the huntress wasn't even 90 meters away from her, yet Ares was there, in front of her, as if she didn't break a sweat.
Katherine stood up from the ground, standing her hand to the goddess with a small smirk as she asked "May I?"
Ares looked at her face for a second, tilting her head to the side as she analyzed the survivor, before a small smile appeared on her bloodied face and she handed the arrow towards the doppelgänger, who quickly sent it flying right into the huntress' left eye.

"Bullseye!" Katherine cheered mockingly, receiving an amused look from the goddess of war, which immediately made her cheeks turn a deep red, looking at the ground.
Ares laughed warmly at this, summoning twin daggers and throwing them towards the newly shy doppelgänger, who was looking at her with wide eyes and the corner of her mouth twitching as she tried to hide the forming smile.
"If you want to win, you better start killing, we're already on the 20's, right D?" Ares shouted, wrapping her weapon around a huntress' neck and pulling it with massive strength, making the head fly from its body.
"What are the rules?" Katherine asked, throwing one of the daggers towards one huntress that was hidden in the dark forest.
Damon suddenly appeared behind her, shooting at another daughter of Artemis, before he whispered in her ear "Who said anything about rules? No rules" making a smirk appear on the older vampire's face.
Not far from the trio stood Niklaus and Mikael, fighting brutally against each other, Mikael was snarling, using his superior strength against his bastard son, while the hybrid went with quick steps blocking each move.
Klaus' eyes betrayed his emotionless face, a hidden hatred was growing stronger with every clash of their swords, the royal silver material of his sword beautifully reflecting the orange flames from the fire that was accompanying Ares' movements.
His eyes were glaring at his stepfather, but a smile raised on his lips when he heard her giggles, knowing very well that she was having fun while torturing the not so poor souls.
This seemed to infuriate his father, because he growled at the hybrid, trusting his sword each time stronger than before.
"Do you mind? I was trying to admire my wife" Nik grunted in annoyance, a mischievous smirk appearing on his face once he saw how messy Mikael's swings were getting because of his wrath.
Swing. Swing. Swing. Strike!
Niklaus managed to cut Mikael's face in a deep gash that went from his eyebrow down to his chin, making his father glare at him before a confused expression overtook his features.

"Oh, did I forget to mention? Silly me, when you're cut by Ares' weapons it takes way longer to heal, it's like you're human once again, guess you'll have a pretty nasty scar on your face for the rest of your life" Niklaus taunted, quickly jumping over the vampire's head and striking on his back.
"Not that it'll make much difference since your life will end in a few seconds" The original hybrid continued, giving his father a cynical smile before they went on with the fight.
Mikael had managed to cut his chest, making Nik double over, blood dripping from his wound. Looking up from his lashes, Mikael could now see the golden irises shining brightly in contrast with the dark veins under his eyes, making a cocky smirk appear on his lips.
"Is that all you got, boy? You're still weak! You'll always be weak! You don't deserve a woman like her, maybe I'll have some fun with the firecracker, show her what a real man is like!" Mikael shouted, making Niklaus freeze, his head, which was previously looking down at the ground, slowly moved upwards.
His usual golden eyes were replaced by a pitch black color, devoid of emotions, power seemed to spiral out of his body, a dark mist surrounding him, making his stepfather take a step back in disbelief.
He seemed to be another person, striking down mercilessly with precise movements, as if another person had just taken control of his body and kept beating his father down, making small yet deep cuts all over his body, to prolongue his pain, until he stood right in front of him, looking down at Mikael's laying body that was sprawled on the ground with blood covering its entire being, his sword laying 2 feet away from his hand.
"Impossible" Mikael whispered as Niklaus stood above him with his sword pointed at his heart.
Ares suddenly appeared beside him, her eyes glassed over with an unknown pain behind those blood red irises.
"Darling?" Ares whispered, putting her calloused hand on his arm, making Niklaus look down at her, blinking rapidly as his onyx eyes turned into those ocean blue again.
"What happened?" Nik whispered, placing his free hand on his head as a massive headache stared to form.
"Everything is fine, my love... you won" Ares muttered quietly, quickly weeping a single tear that had managed to leave her eyes.
Niklaus was looking at her in concern, not knowing what he had done, but their moment was cut short as Mikael used their distraction to jump from the ground and whip his sword towards them.
The goddess of war took the sword with one hand, her eyes shining a bright red before she wrapped her other hand around his neck, raising his body off the ground.
"You stand alone and that was always your mistake, you call him weak, yet here you are, attacking after you were defeated" Ares hissed, pulling his sword out of his hand and quickly twisting it in the air and taking it once again, with its blade pointed to his neck.
"You will never be half the man that he is and trust me... the place you're going to will make you wish you were sent to the underworld with Hades, I'll make sure of that"
And with this, Ares slashed his throat open, his blood squishing on her face as she threw his lifeless body on the ground.
"It's over, little wolf... he'll never touch a single strand of your hair ever again... I promise you"
