《The Life of a Wizard》Hanging with a Rose

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jaune walks down the halls of Beacon, letting out a sigh in disappointment. After being rejected by Weiss for the nth time, he decides to leave her alone and let her get back to whatever she was doing. Probably something Ice Queen related.
Makes you wonder if she actually-
"JAUNE!" A familiar high-pitched voice calls out.
Jaune blinks to see Ruby Rose at the other end of the hall waving at me. She's the leader of team RWBY his sister team and the first friend he's .ever made here. She skipped two years and is a scythe-wielding prodigy! Like, seriously! No one knows how wield a scythe like Ruby Rose and when you combine that with her Semblance, you are in for a bad time.
Ruby trots towards me. "How are you? I haven't seen you in a long time."
Jaune sweat dropped. "Ruby, we have the same classes together; you saw me an hour ago."
Ruby blushes and gives me a sheepish look. "Hehehe... so we did."
Jaune smile, Ruby is cuteness incarnate. Her mannerisms, her personality. Its like she's a puppy who wants go out a play and you can't help but spoil every time you look at her.
"Aaaaaaannyyassss... I was thinking of going to Vale to pick up parts for Crescent Rose. Wanna come with me?" Ruby asks.
The White Knight arch an eyebrow. "I thought the school insured weapon maintenance."
"Well, there's a certain part that I want but the school won't buy it because its not... safe?" Ruby said. "But it'll be fun and in exchange I'll give you a special prize."
Jaune roll my eyes, I know where she's going with this. Whenever Ruby has these "special prizes" it usually involves explosions, cookies, her dog, and sometimes Nora.
They don't end well.
"Alright, but I'm only going to keep an eye on you. Also if anything happens to you, Yang will rip my manhood off." Jaune said.
Ruby smiles and grabs my hand. "Onwards, to adventure!" She uses her Semblance and they blast off leaving rose petals everywhere.

Neo appears with cleaning supplies (because she is still a janitor believe it or not) and watches Little Red as she makes a mess with her Semblance... again.
She is definitely asking for overtime pay for this.
We walk through downtown and watch as everyone prepares for the upcoming Vytal Festival. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. I've never participated in a tournament before. There's gonna be a lot of people watching us fight. I'll likely fight teams from all over Remnant, I might even have to fight Ruby's team.
"We're here!" Ruby's voice brings me back to reality.
Jaune looks at the store and the first thing that catches my attention are the words "Mr. Copper's Tech and Parts" made out of spare parts that have been glued together to form words.
"Huh, never been here before." Jaune mused.
"Not surprising, you're more into the classics; they barely need any maintenance." Ruby states. "C'mon, you're gonna love this."
Ruby opens the door and we walk inside and Jaune is enamored by the sight. Weapons. Hundreds of weapons as far as the eye can see of all types, shapes, and sizes. Heck, there are even weapons hanging by the ceiling. She trots towards the counter and hits the bell at high speeds.
"MR. COPPER!" Ruby screams out.
The sounds of items falling to the floor are heard from the back as a man with brown hair and brown eyes wearing an equally brown apron and pants.
His tired eyes stare at Ruby. "Oh, its you. I'm guessing you're here for your order."
"Yes sir, Mr. Copper sir!" Ruby salutes the man.
"Here." Mr. Copper pulls out a parcel from... nowhere and gives it to Ruby. "Its fragile so be careful how you handle it."
"Umu!" Ruby nods and walks out, dragging a dazed Jaune away.
Mr. Copper looks on and sighs. "That kid is a pain in the ass. If it wasn't because of the fact she is one of my best customers, I would have banned her already."

The loud sounds of metal slamming again metal overrides all other sounds as Jaune watches Ruby is at work.
"How long have been waiting for this part exactly?" Jaune asked.
Despite the loud noise, Ruby manages to hear my question. "Uh, maybe a two weeks? I was pretty preoccupied that I completely forgot about until I got the email on my Scroll." A few minutes later, the loud noise stops. "DONE!"
"Are those... rocket launchers?" Jaune asks with uncertainty.
"Yyyyep!" Ruby pops the "p". She has added two rocket launchers on the pommel of her scythe. "Now I will get 60 times the recoil!"
"Ruby... what was in that parcel?"
"Oh nothing major, just some rocket fuel." Ruby says nonchalantly.
"Rocket fuel!? Ruby that will kill you!" Jaune exclaims. He would expect this from Nora, not Ruby.
The fifteen-year-old prodigy dismisses my concern and hands over her notes. "Relax. I've already measured the right amount to use. It'll be fine."
Jaune reads the notes and look at Ruby. "This is wrong."
Ruby laughs. "Jaune, I have been working on Crescent Rose for a long time. I think I would know if I was wrong."
Jaune gives her the notes. "See here. These calculations are for a miniature rocket not a weapon."
"I've adjusted the dose-"
"Not correctly." Jaune interrupted. "If you use it now, it will certainly blow up in your face."
"But that's part of progress Jaune. You see what works and fix your mistakes." Ruby then activates the rockets.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A loud noise shakes the school itself, leaving everyone in a state of daze and shock.
"What the fuck was that!?" Ishtar yells out.
"That would either be Ms. Valkyrie or Ms. Rose testing her new weapon upgrades." I said. "Its honestly become the norm at this point to have something blow up at least once a week."
Ishtar give me a look. "Seriously? How can you be so irresponsible!? You should do something about this behavior!"
"They will be punished for disturbing us." Morgan said while holding me tight.
"... And they will. But right now they're still children, so why not let them play the part? After all, it isn't a role they'll have forever." I told her with light giggle to accompany it.
Morgan hums and rests her head on my chest while I stroke her silver hair.
"You two are weird." Ishtar remarks and floats away.
"Simp!" Ereshkigal yells out from out of nowhere. "You're a simp!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The door falls off the hinges as smoke spreads out the hall. Ruby and I walk out of there coughing like crazy.
"We're lucky that we had our Auras up or we'd be in the hospital..." Jaune groans out.
" yeah... " Ruby said. "Oh well, back to the drawing board and all that."
"Sorry about Crescent Rose." He says and hug her, knowing how overly attached Ruby to her weapon.
Ruby returns the hug. "Thanks Jaune..." A light sob escapes her lips.
The two break the hug. "Well, we should probably leave before we get into trouble."
"Yeah, good idea." Ruby agrees. "Hey Jaune?"
"Hm?"
Ruby walks up to him and... kisses him on his cheek.
"I had a wonderful time, thank you." Ruby smiles and uses her Semblance to leaves, leaving Jaune in a somewhat dazed state.
Jaune massages his cheek before realizing that he has to get out of there and runs at high speeds.
Neo appears and sees the destroyed forge and lets out a tired sigh.
She is definitely going to ask for a raise.

Author Notes
Here's the chapter as promised. I know its not what you expected but this had to happen at some point and now there are only two girls left.
Despite her personality, I think Morgan can be pretty cute at times showing that she does have a bit of Artoria in her.
Does this make me a simp? A little, yeah.
Anyways, hope you enjoy this chapter and don't hesitate to leave your thoughts here; they really help getting things in order.
Peace~

The Triumphs and Tribulations of Kai Jameson
Kai Jameson is an average everyday young man. He still lives at home with his parents after having just graduated from college. He loves playing video games and his job at the local Buy More is tolerable. Of course that all changes the moment the system arrives and the Earth is connected to the Nexus. Turns out Kai was trapped in time for about eighteen months while the people already here got a headstart on him. He lucks into being rescued by some people from a town called Donnyton and learns that if he wants to survive in this New Earth he'll have to work harder than ever before. The rewards are worth it. This is Kai's story, the moments of his triumphs, and the moments when he feels that things couldn't possibly be worse. Thanks to puddles4263 and his story The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound for the inspiration on the world this is set in. If you have never read that I highly recommend it, and if you have read it and enjoyed that story then I hope you'll enjoy mine as well. This is the first story I'm ever putting out for public consumption so reader beware on that. Any constructive criticism is always appreciated, simply leaving a half star review tells me that you're a moron who doesn't know how to use words. I'm constantly trying to improve my writing and feedback and criticism on what works and what doesn't is the only way to do that at the point I feel I am at. Last, I just marked all the content warnings because you never know where a story will take you and I don't want to exclude anything (though there will never be a harem). I am going to release 1-2 chapters per week on Fridays. Thanks and enjoy.
