"Nah she been busy. Why?" He said looking up from his phone.

"Cause I needa see when her sista Skyla coming in town." Louie says.

Von made this face looking back down at his phone.

"Aight I guess I can hit her up, but ion if she gon answer." Von says.

He started to text her when waited see if she would respond but saw he was left on read.

Just then he saw she was trying to facetime him. He answered anyway.

"My brother had my phone, he super overprotective about random men an stuff." She says.

"Yes and no, my brother flew in from New York an is helping me with Michael while I do some last minute paperwork an filing for the salon in California." Dakota says while setting her phone to be visble.

"Like the week after I was in Atlanta last so not that long ago. Hold on." She says standing up.

There was a bunch of noise an then he heard a males voice guess it was her brother then she came sitting back down messing with her hair.

"Sorry about that my brother was watching the basketball game in my guest room doing all that loud shouting. So...." she says.

Von watched as she smiled an blushed looking over at her phone.

"Aweee I missed you too!" She says.

"Dakota!" Louie yelled.

Von looked up giving Louie this look nigga being loud for no reason.

"Is that louie?" She said.

"Skylar is coming to Atlanta next week we're having a family thing with our cousins an aunt." Dakota says.

Von nodded and the call ended, and she set her phone down continuing to type on her computer filling the last of her paperwork.

"Aye lil sis you seen Noah's wipes?" Braxton said.

"Check in his dresser in his room!" Dakota said.

She didn't hear anything else he probably had found what he needed, anyway Dakota shut off her computer getting up out the office chair that was in her room walking out of her bedroom towards the living room too see her brother Braxton changing her son.

"Look at you being a good uncle!" Dakota said gushing.

"Aye yo son pissed all on me. He lucky he don't know any better." Braxton said.

"It's happened to me before so it's kind of normal." Dakota says.

Dakota walked over picking up her son seeing he was all changed an happy smiling at her. Noah was such a mommy's boy even if he wasn't near his mother he always cried for her.

"Noah you missed mama huh, your uncle being mean!" Dakota said while kissing his cheeks.

Noah just smiled slobbering while placing his hands in his mouth. Dakota just smiled while her brother Braxton snapped a quick photo of the two.

"That's going on my IG!" He said.

Dakota chuckled an sat down on the living room couch while picking up the remote scrolling through HBO Max.

"Who was you talking to on the phone?" Braxton asked sitting beside her.

"My boyfriend." She responded.

"Von." She said.

"Where he from?" Braxton said.

Dakota rolled her eyes she knew how overprotective an hard her brother was especially when it came to her having men in her life. He just wanted what was best for his younger sister an she knew that.

"Chicago dang! Why you interrogating me?" She says giving him this look.

"Cause I just wanna make sure you're not with someone who doesn't have your best intentions." He says with a straight face.

Dakota sighed but she knew understood where her brother was coming from, her last relationship was something she regretted instantly not that her son was a regret but just being with Dakhari was mentally, emotionally an physically draining.

"I understand Brax, but I want you to know I'm fine! He won't hurt me in that way." She says.

Braxton opened his mouth to speak but he decided to leave it alone because he knew he wouldn't win this disagreement with his baby sister. Dakota then looked over at the television set which played a rerun of "All of Us" on TVONE.

"You got your bags packed for the ATL trip?" He asks breaking the tension.

"I have my stuff but I have to just get a few things for Noah here then I am done packing up everything I need. What about you?" Dakota says while playing with her son.

"You know I am ready to go out to the A an see my peoples." He says scrolling through his phone.

She continued to play with her son an out of nowhere her phone dinged allowing her to know someone was texting her.

Dakota picked up her phone seeing it was her twin sister Nicole aka Nikki.

"That's Nikki ain't it?" Braxton said.

"Yup!" Dakota says.
