《Two Wastes of Space- J.C》Post Exam Tingz

I had sat through all my exams and felt pretty good about them. I was taking JJ out for chips after college when all of a sudden he blurted out, "Katie's Emily."
I raised my eyebrows as we sat down, "What are you talking about?"
"Today, when Katie came in to sit through her exam, it wasn't Katie. It was Emily disguised as Katie," he said.
"And you know this how?" I said.
"I just know it."
"Really?" I said.
"We had sex together," he said before covering his mouth.
"What? But, she's gay?" I said. No way that happened...
"Well, she did it for a once-only charity event, or so she said."
I shrugged as our chips were brought to the table. We ordered chips with lemon juice and feta, and chips that had tomato sauce and cheddar cheese. It was a very good post exams treat.
Over the weekend, I went into the convenience store and bought a pack of cigarettes and chocolate.
"Aren't you a little young to be smoking?" the guy at the register asked me.
"I'm 17, so fuck off!" I said. As I left, I saw Katie and Emily walking my way. I also saw Panda.
"Hi, guys!" I said, "How are you feeling, Katie?"
"I'm better," she said.
"Oh, that's great!" Panda said.
"Have either of you heard from Effy?"
We both shook our heads. I tried calling her yesterday, but it just left to voicemail.
"I'm sure she didn't mean it," Panda said.
"Oh, I think she meant it," Katie said, pointing at her face.
"I'm sorry," Panda said.
"It's not your fault, Panda," I said, "Where are you two going?"
"Shopping for dresses for the ball, do you have a date?"

"Nope, I'm not going," I said.
"Come on, Bri. We don't have dates either, but we're still going. Let's go, the four of us together," Katie said.
"You mean, go girls?" Panda said.
"Yea! Right, you got it!"
I sighed, "Fine, I'll go."
After Panda said she'd never do surf and turf again, the three of us left to go shopping. We tried on dresses together, which was pretty fun, I had to admit. We were doing fine until Katie saw Freddie and JJ and tried to cover herself up.
"Is he coming over here?"
"No, he's not that stupid," Emily said, but she was wrong. He was indeed that stupid.
Freddie and JJ walked over to us, "Hey, Katie, I wanted to see how you are,"
"Oh, now you want to see how I am. Thanks, that's well compassionate. Cheers," Katie said.
"Hi, Emily," JJ said.
"Hi," she said.
Awkward.
"I didn't know what to say. I fucked up," Freddie said, hell yea he did.
"No, Freddie. You fucked Effy! When you were meant to be fucking me! Oh yea, after she hit me with a rock."
We left Freddie and Katie alone. I went into a dressing room to try on a light green dress when something fell out of my wallet. I picked it up, and it was a picture of Cook with his presidential campaign outfit on. He looked so cute. I missed seeing his face and hearing his laugh.
"Oh shit! I'm sorry, I thought this was empty!" Emily said, but then she looked down at my hand "Bri, what's that?"
"Nothing," I said. She took the picture from me and laughed, "I knew it."
"Knew what?"
"You fancy him, don't you?"
I shook my head, "No, I don't."
"You do! It all makes sense. Gobbler's end, I mean," Emily said, embracing me in a hug, causing me to roll my eyes and smile.
"Ok, maybe I like him a little," I said, putting my head on top of hers because she was so much shorter than me.
I couldn't believe I said that. I liked James Cook.

The Far Away Dream
The possessor priesthood drew the perfect bodies. They pulled them from pictures and brought them to life. One of them drew his vision of the perfect world. A world where only beauty bodies and good feelings are allowed to exist. However, his plans to take the souls needed to fuel this insanity failed and the priesthood's existence became a myth. Now the world and cultures of Neolys must face their ancient past. A story of suffering, the intimacy it creates, and the will to fight against those who try to redraw the place you call home. The many characters in Neolys must unite and struggle against The Far Away Dream. Is a world of suffering worth fighting for? Is it insanity to fight for what hurts you? (I am in the process of rewriting/refurbishing this long story from one I wrote long ago and saved on my computer, into first person. I abandoned it many years ago. It will take time to figure everything out again and make the right changes. The Prologue/first chapter is supposed to be in third person)

Balefire - A LitRPG Apocalypse
Mateo wasn't a fan of the blue sun. It froze the air dry, turned the trees around into popsicle sticks, and it had to bring with it a horde of monsters with faces not even a mother could love. Thrust into this world where nowhere was to be safe, maybe uncle Pedro's summer camp wasn't so bad after all. After getting a hold of some–ironically–fire magic, Mateo had all the tools he needed to get back to his family. He just had to learn how to not die first. New chapter posted everyday from Monday to Friday.

On Astral Tides: From Humble Freelancer To Astral Emperor
What would you do if one day you were told you were one of the chosen who would have to battle to save the world? Akio was an average guy, having moved to the big city from his humble town in the mountains. Sure, his IT freelancing job wasn't making him big money, and he wasn't exactly a hit with the ladies, but life wasn't all that bad... until one day a mysterious angel-like being visited him to tell him the Earth was in danger. Many would be chosen to fight this fate, but would any succeed? Of course, if one could have the usual cheat skills everything would work out, wouldn't it? So why was his skill like a garbage pay-to-win mobile game? Akio would have to not only hone his skills and build his Astral Empire, but he would need to raise money, secure land and become a player on Earth too! Facing this challenging task alone would surely be impossible, so Akio needs to make strong and beautiful allies to take on all those who would oppose him. Who would that be, you ask? The old myths of Earth are returning, alien invaders are waiting outside on the Astral Tides, Cultivators are looking for their next faces to slap, Demons are whispering poison into the ears of anyone who would listen, and whoever was trying to save Earth by granting various people powers were making some really awful choices... Join Akio as he starts at the bottom of the ladder, clawing his way to the top and discovering one can change their destiny, so long as they work hard (and have a boat-load of money!). [Note this story is Harem, and since many don't like that, be warned! It's more Sevens than Isekai Smartphone though. There will be some R-15/18 scenes for the Harem (though I have toned down the one posted here from the original drafts more to the R15 side.] The story is pretty much evenly split between progression fantasy and real-world character building and events, hopefully blending together to make a compelling narrative about how someone could change themselves and the people around them for the better if given the chance by some miraculous intervention, while also hopefully saving the world (and maybe other worlds too.] Update schedule revised: Minimum 3/week - Tues/Wed/Thurs but will aim to hit 5/week where possible If you have any questions re: future plot turns/types of things that might happen and want to know so you know whether you'd find it worth your time reading, feel free to drop me a PM and I'll let you know. No story is for everyone, so no worries!

City of Roses
Jo Maguire, a highly strung, underemployed telemarketer, meets Ysabel, a princess of unspecified pedigree, and unexpectedly becomes her guardian and caretaker. Now Jo must make a place for herself among Ysabel's decidedly unusual family and friends—which calls for a bit more sword-play than most of us are used to—in a city where sinister high-rise condos are fought by a sprawling tea-house built out of scrap lumber, where ancient sea-gods retire to close-in Southeast apartments with lovely views, where duels take place in supermarkets, and the Devil keeps a morgue in an abandoned big-box store.
