"Come on Axel, you can do it. Aydan and Allen are crawling. I bet you can too."

We've noticed that Axel has Darric's temperament, Aydan has Rafe and Allen has mine. Another reason Axel is being stubborn about crawling, just like his father. Aydan crawled first, like Rafe eager to do things first after weighing the possibilities. And Allen just took his time and crawled his way, his time.

I'm in my lab with my babies. My mates tried every excuse in the book to stop me from bringing my babies here, but I shot them all down. The smell, they said and I told them it doesn't smell as bad as their soiled diapers. The experiments that blow up. I'll keep them away I respond. Just because they don't like to come to my lab doesn't mean my sons won't like it.

I'm on the floor with them in the makeshift corner in my lab. All our designated areas have makeshift playpens for the boys. Darric's room has a jungle gym and what not in their playpens. Rafe's tranquil room has a laptop with musical games and such for them.

I'm now in my final year and thank the Sun god for the ability to teleport. I have been able to get to my classes because of that power. It's been tough but I wasn't going to interrupt my education at this point. I have worked too hard to stop now. After graduation, I told my mates that all I want as presents are a bigger lab and state of the art laboratory equipment to accelerate my research.

Darric doesn't spend the night alone at BloodRose anymore. When he must be there overnight, everyone goes with him. The same thing with Rafe, we go with him when he has a business to handle in Silvern Clan. We are a bustling family. Three boys, and three homes; doesn't get any better than that.

"Go, Axel, I knew you could do it, good boy." I give him a kiss. "Soon all of you will be walking and tearing this place apart."

And my time with my boys gets interrupted by Esme, Rafe, and Darric, all looking frustrated. What has she done to my mates now?

"Eh, Eh, Eh, Eh," the boys mumble when they see Esme.

"There's my leech, mash-up and fur coat. My boys, how are you?" She plops down on the floor with us, pulls them towards her kissing and rubbing their tummies, making them giggle. One would think she hasn't seen them in weeks. She just saw them yesterday.

"Why is it that the only word they'll say right now is your name, Esme?" Darric asks.

"You didn't put a spell on my children did you," ask Rafe.

"As if? They just love me more that's all."

I shake my head laughing. The boys do seem to gravitate towards Esme. And she's the same towards them.

"So, what are you all doing, interrupting my time with my boys?" I ask.

"She grabbed us and brought us here because her royal highness must speak to you alone," Darric sneers.

"What now, Esme?"

"First things first. Axel, Aydan, Allen can you go with your daddies while I speak with your papa for a minute?"

"Eh, Eh, Eh, Eh," the boys continue to chant.

Darric picks up Allen and Axel while Rafe carries Aydan.

"We'll see you at the house. Come on guys, time to eat." Rafe says and teleports them all back to the house.

"I just saw you yesterday, what's up?" I ask as I tidy up the playpen.

"We really are alike and it's getting aggravating."

"Not that again. My apologies. What do you mean?"

"I mean that I met my bane."

"I know. I was there, remember? Beta Cole."

"I wish. I just met some rabble-rouser called Blaze who just happens to be my bane too."

"You mean you have two mates?" I drop everything and sit back down on the floor beside Esme.

"Banes! Banes!!! Get with the program, fur coat."

"Oh, this is good! Tell me about him." I move closer to her.

"First, he's hybrid, a wolf and witch."

"Temperamental combination, not good for anyone's digestion."

"Exactly. He's pumped full of wolf arrogance and witch's sneakiness."

"Maybe he got the best of both worlds?" I say positively.

"I doubt it. He's pompous, arrogant, full of himself, pain in my ass- "

"I wonder who's close to my heart and has the same 'stellar' qualities, umm?"

"Shut up! And worst of all, he's Lar's brother."

"Haha! haha!! haha!!! Repeat that last sentence."

"You heard me, he's Lar's brother."

"The Lars that's your good friend and your first-"

"Don't say it. I know you wolves, you're too territorial for my peace of mind."

"What will happen when he finds out that you and his brother 'knocked boots'?"

"I really don't need this right now. Ancient One, why me?"

"Georgiana is right, this decade is turning out to be so much fun!"

I couldn't stop laughing even when Esme strings me up and I fall back down a few seconds later. I just couldn't stop laughing.

And so, we end Cal's story. But don't fret, he is a legend after all. He'll be in all the books and we'll follow his life too.
