Emily's pov
''what?'' i said
''em im your mate thats why im so protective thats why i got mad'' he said and he touched my arm and i pulled away.
''i have to go'' i said and i walked out and went downstairs and logan stopped me.
''are you okay?'' he said
''im fine i just wanna go home'' i said
''em'' he said
''im fine logan'' i said and i pushed him away and ran out to my secret spot.
When i got there i sat at the river and looked at the moon light.
''why the hell are things so damn complicated'' i said and sighed
I hummed a tune that my mom sang to me when i was little.
''there was a little girl two or three'' i heard someone sing and i turned around to see logan.
''the brightest brown eyes you would ever see she brightened up a room and made everyone see that there was more to life than just money she taught everyone the meaning of family'' he sang and sat next to me.
''she would skip down the halls she was the happiest girl everyone knew and she believed in her dreams'' he sang and i smiled
''she rode her bike down the street and sold muffins raising up money for something tragic when everyone found out why she did this every morning the whole town came together and gave her the money'' i sand with him
''the very next week she saw her grandma six feet under she cried for a week but never forgot the tune she sang its about a little girl and that girl is me'' we finished
''i can't believe you remember'' i said and smiled
''you kidding i sang that to you till we were six i stayed with you every night and held your hand because i knew how sad you were your parents had to pry us apart with a crow bar'' he said and laughed

''why did you leave'' he said
''i ran into aaron'' i said
''ill kick his ass if he did something to you em'' he said
''logan'' i said
''em did he hurt you'' he said getting up
''im gonna kill him'' he said and started walking
''he's my mate logan'' i said and he stopped
''what'' he said and looked at me
''aaron is my mate'' i said and he stayed quiet and then he just walked away.
Soon after that i got up and just went home. I changed into some baggy clothes and layed down. An hour later mark walked in.
''em'' he said and sat on my bed and i wiped my tears and he hugged me.
''logan told me'' he said and sighed.
''i don't know what to do mark i love logan i don't know why he isn't my mate.'' i said and he rubbed my back.
''i know its unfair. you guys love each other i swear i got so jealous when logan would hang out with you instead of me'' he said and we laughed.
''things are gonna change now'' i said
''i know'' he said
''what do i do'' i said
''follow your heart em'' he said
''i mean there's always the rejection thing you and logan talked about'' he said and smiled and i rolled my eyes.
''me and him both know that would be impossible you were there when mom and dad told us rejections so rare that its a myth'' i said
''i know i wish i could do something em'' he said
''there's nothing much to do but wait till im seventeen to see how it goes down'' i said and sighed
''only three months'' he said and chuckled
''yeah until then awkward silence'' i said and he gave me a small smile

''get some sleep em.'' he said and i nodded and he left my room.
The thing was is i couldn't sleep. I wasn't even tired i was wide awake.
I got up and i took a shower and i washed off the smell of alcohol and make up. I got out and got dressed i put on some black tights and a white loose crop top and some nike running shoes and tied my hair up and opened my window and jumped out and landed on my feet.
I ran all the way to logan's house.
I got to his house and jumped up to his window and knocked. He looked at me and he just ignored me. I tried to link him but he wouldn't answer.
''really'' i said and i jumped down and went through the front door up to his room but it was locked i growled and broke the door knob and walked in.
''what he hell emily!'' he said
''so its emily now? is that what its gonna be like'' i said and he stayed quiet.
''you know that if i could-'' i was interrupted by his restroom door opening up and stacy coming out in nothing but a towel.
''oh am i interrupting something'' she said and smiled
''no'' logan said
''yes'' i said and crossed my arms.
''you know what your not i was just leaving apparently i wasted my time'' i said and left the house i was so angry i needed to blow off steam so i ran to the woods and shifted and sped through the woods.
When i got home i was so tired that i passed out on the couch.
I woke up to mark shaking me.
''what'' i said
''we're late for school do you want a ride?'' he said
''no ill just ride my bike there'' i said
''you sure'' he said
''yeah'' i said and smiled and he left and i went upstairs and got ready for this crappy day i already know im about to have.

Tales of Light
These are a collection of short stories following different narratives. It's more like a playground and experimenting with ideas or subjects I don't want to write a complete story about. It's also a place to test my skills as a writer. Think of it as a notebook of un/finished ideas. Feel free to pick and choose which chapters to read. They aren't related unless specifically said otherwise. Just relax, enjoy, and cringe at goofy stories. There may be a timeline of events, or not... who knows?
