Emily's pov

*SKIPPING TO DECEMBER*

''its time to go home'' i said and smiled

''yay'' mari said in her baby voice and i smiled

''wanna go see dadda'' i said

''yeah'' she said

''alright well we are almost there'' i said and smiled

Its been ten months we have been in hiding and nothing has happened and its time we stop running and face what we need to face. I have been helping aaron plan the winter ball and no one knows im coming home but him and its gonna be an amazing ball.

Mari was gorgeous she had dirty blond hair like aaron and grew to have his eyes but she had my smile and it would be impossible for anyone to love her as much as i do.

She's seen aaron a few times since we left we didn't do it too much but we did it often she's seen him at least five times since we left and he gets excited to see her every time.

''alright lets go to this hotel and get ready'' i said and she smiled and we got off and went to our room that aaron got for us and our dresses were waiting and i did my hair and my make up and i got mari dressed first. I put on her little pink dress that was similar to mine i put her hair up in a bun and put on her little white shoes. Then i got dressed and this dress was gorgeous. It was a mint color that had lace on it.

''alright lets go to the limo the ball already started'' i said and we went downstairs and i told aaron to have my dad pick me up.

''oh my god em'' he said and he hugged me

''you look beautiful'' he said and looked at mari.

''oh my god she's gotten so big'' he said

''mari this is your grandpa'' i said

''hi gorgeous'' he said and she waved hi.

''alright lets get to this ball'' i said and he nodded and we got into the limo.

Aaron's pov

''how did you plan this so perfect'' claire said and we looked around the place.

''its gorgeous'' naomi said and jake wrapped his arm around her and she smiled

''not as gorgeous as you'' he said

I couldn't wait to see emily and mari. I haven't seen them in four months.

''you alright? i can smell you ya know you reek of being nervous'' claire said and i heard the doors open and everyone looked and gasped.

''im perfect now'' i said and i walked to them and i hugged them and i smiled

Emily's pov

''ready kiddo'' dad said and i nodded

''as ready as we will ever be.'' i said and dad opened the door's and everyone looked and gasped and i spotted aaron and he smiled and walked to us and hugged us.

''i missed you so much'' he said and i cried

''i missed you too'' i said and everyone came over and by everyone i meant the people i knew.

''emily!'' naomi said and hugged me and i smiled and everyone hugged me.

''where have you been!'' claire said

''im sorry i left'' i said and aaron held mari and i walked up the stairs and i took a deep breath.

''ten months ago me and my mate got a note saying that someone was coming for my daughter'' i said

''i did what i needed to do for my daughter i took her to a safe place and layed low until i knew it was safe for her. Well that was the plan'' i said

''but i decided it was time to come back home because i was not only a mother i was a luna and i know i made an oath to protect my pack but that is why i left my mate behind so he could protect them as i protected my daughter'' i said

''some may see it as selfish but i see it as i protected her and even though it was hard being away from my mate we made it work and we had no problems if i never left someone would have taken my daughter and i wouldn't have been able to see her grow these past ten months'' i said and cried and i wiped my tears.

''i love my daughter more than anything in the world and i would do anything to protect her'' i said

''but i am tired of running so here is a message to whoever is after her'' i said

''you may see me as weak but i assure you if you are after anyone i love especially my daughter i will hunt you down and i will rip you into shreds its time i stop being hunted and its time for me to hunt for who ever is after her'' i said and looked at mari and smiled.

''so i dare anyone to try me and my mate because you will not only have to get through us but you will have to get through the army of people who love her and if you get through them i promise and guarantee you'' i said

''im one hundred times harder'' i said

''you won't even get a finger past me i will kill who ever tries to harm my daughter'' i said

''so with that being said enjoy the rest of the winter ball'' I said and walked back down the stairs and everyone clapped and I smiled and I went around meeting all the lunas and alphas along with their betas.

''I loved that speech I agree one hundred percent I would have done the same if it was my son'' a Luna said and I smiled

''Hi I'm Chloe Reed this is my husband and mate of course Austin Jones and my daughter and son Elle and Ethan'' she said

''Hi what pack are you from'' I said

''Green stone'' she said

''Oh wow you sure came a long way alaska right?'' I said and she nodded

''We have been through something similar to what your going through but it wasn't my kids it was me and my friends'' she said

''Oh I'm so sorry'' I said

''No no don't be they all died in a mysterious fire'' she said and winked and I nodded understanding.

''Tragic'' I said and she chuckled

''Well it was nice meeting you really I'm surprised you came this far for this ball'' I said and smiled

''Are you kidding I love these kinds of events so does my daughter elle'' she said

''you know what's crazy we call my daughter ella sometimes but we mainly call her mari'' I said

''Oh wow that's crazy but cute'' she said and smiled

''Well it was great meeting you guys maybe we will take a trip over there some time?'' I said

''Oh we would love to have you over we are actually having a party in a few weeks for my sister's birthday if you wanna come'' Austin said

''I would love to'' I said and smiled

''We will pick you up'' Chloe said

''Oh no I wouldn't want you to drive that far'' I said

''No trust me we got here in seconds'' Chloe said

''How?'' I said

''Proofing dust y'all don't have any?'' She said and I shook my head

''Really? Wow I thought everyone had it'' she said and she pulled out and a bag and showed me how to use the dust...........
