《The Alpha's Treasure (EDITING)》chapter 12

"I'm just glad you're okay"
Emma smiled as she gave me a hug.
I can't believe it, i'm finally back to school and I know it's weird but trust me, it's better than being locked up in a house for three months.
Yeah.
It's been three months since I was attacked by God knows who and it felt good to be out of the pack house.
Meeting the pack members was really amazing especially the children.
Caleb was really surprised to find out how much I love children but what can I say? It's been my dream to become a mother someday.
"Oh look who's back" I heard someone say and groaned as I realized it was Brittany.
"So, Skylar, you decide to go missing for three months and then come back without the teachers asking any questions? How many of them did you sleep with?"
She smirked, referring to the male teachers. Rolling my eyes, I turned away from her not interested in talking to her but she stopped me by grabbing my arms hard and spinning me back around to face her.
"I'm talking to you, are you deaf or what?"
Releasing my hand from her arms, I felt the adrenaline and anger rush through me as I slapped her with the same hand.
She turned around to say something but I cut her off.
"Listen to me Brittany bitch, first of all, if you ever and I mean ever, grab my arm like that again, you will be going back home with a broken arm".
I said, pointing my fingers at her face, she opened her mouth to speak again but I wasn't done yet.
"Trust me Brittany this isn't one of the fake shows I've pulled to defend myself. This is real. If you know the crazy situation I've been in this couple of months, you wouldn't test me. So even don't try to annoy me, it's for your own good".
I finished turning around to make my way to class stopping a bit as I noticed the crowd that had now gathered.
Grabbing Emma, we pushed out way through the crowd and I couldn't help but smile as I saw the look of satisfaction on some people's faces.
I wasn't the only one who disliked Brittany in this school but I felt great that I finally, actually stood up for myself.

"That was amazing" Emma whispered with her mouth still open as we entered the classroom and I just smiled in response.
I wasn't scared of Brittany anymore. I knew how to defend myself and if she ever decides to be physical then everything Caleb thought me over the months will definitely be useful.
My smile instantly dropped as I saw Caleb, settled on the seat behind mine.
First off, he isn't supposed to be here. As much as I haven't been in school for long, I do remember my classes and the people I have them with and secondly, he had a busted lip.
This is bad.
Walking a little bit faster than I was supposed to, I settled down on my seat, arranging my books on my table and getting ready for the class. When I was done I turned my seat around so I was facing Caleb and he didn't look happy one bit.
"Hey" he spoke first after a few seconds of just staring.
"What happened to you" I asked raising my eyebrows as I noticed he was trying to hide his injury with his hand.
Letting out a sigh, he told me about how he went to a bar and got punched by a HUMAN!!
"Your lip was busted by a human?" I asked for the fourth time reducing my voice to a whisper so my fellow humans wouldn't here me, he just nodded again his cheeks getting pink with embarrassment.
"But it should have healed up by now".
"I know" he said now frowning.
"So......?"
"I'm getting weak Sky, I'll be pretty much useless to the pack in a week or two". He said running his hands from his hair down to his face.
"Oh!"
"Yeah. I don't want to bother you or force you into anything but your gonna have to get used to seeing me bloody until we complete the mating bond" he said relaxing into his seat as Mr Jones walked in.
I turned back to face my table as Mr Jones greeted the class and rolled his eyes as everyone just groaned in response.
"Pests" he muttered under his breath but I'm pretty sure everyone heard it.
I just stared at the board as the lecture went on but I couldn't stop thinking of what Caleb had told me earlier about the mate bond.

The pack could be in danger and it's all my fault.
Well technically it's not your fault since he decided to mark you without your permission. My subconscious mind said and I kind of agreed with it for a while before my heart skipped as I remembered what Caleb told me again.
I have to complete the bond, it's the best thing to do for the pack members, they've been nothing but nice to me.
Caleb and I have grown really close over the months and being with him in that way wouldn't be such a bad idea.
Besides he's hot and sexy.
Oh shut up.
"Miss Miller, I'm talking to you".
I snapped out of my thought as I noticed Mr Jones standing right in front of my table with the rest of the class staring at me like I was crazy.
"Yes sir?" I chuckled nervously.
"Well for the third time Miss Miller, can you solve the equation on the board" he asked again, dropping his glasses to his nose as he waited for me to reply.
Staring at the board, I scoffed as I saw how easy the equation was but I was in no mood to walk to the front of the class with everyone staring at me so I just shook my head giving him a sheepish grin.
"Well that proves you weren't listening which means yo......." Mr Jones stopped shouting as his eyes went directly behind me before facing me again.
He let out a small but nervous laugh as he adjusted his suit and went back to talking.
"......which means you need to pay more attention Miss Miller, so that you can graduate with the rest of your mates this year" he said stammering in between as his eyes kept darting to my back.
I just nodded my head at him and gave him a smile as he walked away, turning around ready to scold Caleb but decided against it as I saw his eyes still dark.
I just rolled my eyes and went back to listening to the rambling teacher, staring at the clock once in a while, waiting for this hell hole to end.
***
Stealing another fries from but Daniel and Luke, I shrugged my shoulders at Caleb and Lily as they gave me a look before going back to watching the two idiots bicker about the football match they had watched last night.
"I need to talk to you" I turned to Caleb as he spoke and gave him a nod as he raised his eyebrows.
"Come on". I said, walking to the parking lot straight to were his car was parked.
"Listen, I don't want you to think too much about what I said to you this morning. I'm not forcing you into anything at all, I promise". He said lifting himself to sit on the boot and dragging me between his legs as he continued.
"I'm going to wait for as long as you want me to. I care about you a lot Sky and I don't want to hurt you in anyway so please, don't zone out in class anymore, okay, I'm not going to be able to help you next time"
He smiled down at me and I just had to return the smile considering everything he just said to me.
I stood up on my toes and pressed my lips to his making him tense up for a second before returning the kiss and making chills run down my spine.
I felt high as he his hand went down to my butt, groping me in the process and bringing me closer to him.
Pulling my lips away from him, I smirked as I saw his eyes darken with lust and watched as he took in deep breaths to calm himself.
Releasing myself from his legs, I began making my way back to the lunch room and stopped, staring back at him with a smile.
"I'll see you tonight Caleb. Send me the time and place" I said winking at him and walking again, making sure to sway my hips, thankful for the pencil skirt I was wearing.
I'm going to do this, and not just because of the pack, but because I want it.
