The rain started to pour on the pack lands, bodies littered the ground while doctors rushed to heal all the injured fighters.
Azure was able to heal the majority of his wounds but lacked the energy.
Maverick stood nearby, planning something to get back at the vampire who had attacked them.
"We'll go together since everyone else is preoccupied with their things. "Maverick mumbled, Azure nodded weakly.
"At this point, I have no idea if I'll be able to get there. My body is drained. "Azure rubbed his forehead with a low growl.
"Then you need to push yourself, Azure. I'm unaware of what that vampire can do. "
Maverick glanced at Azure.
"I know. They attack my pack. Hurt my brother and Beta. Kill my people and walk away like it's nothing. "The Alpha growled loudly.
"We'll get them. "Maverick mumbled lowly.
Cameron sat outside Noah's room, he wasn't allowed to see his mate, he was shaking in fear. He couldn't afford to lose Noah.
"Morning. "Azure walked into the small hospital room, Cameron watched him cautiously.
They stayed silent for a while.
"What's your name?" Azure asked, attempting to break the silence.
"C-Cameron. "The smaller male whimpered out.
"Nice name. I'm Azure. The Alpha of this pack. "Azure mentioned.
Immediately Cameron started to breathe heavily, panicking more, the heart rate monitor increasing speed. Azure noticed this and frowned. "I won't hurt you as the others did. I'm here to protect you. "
Cameron continued to watch him, slowly calming down. "Why are you h-helping me?"
Azure blinked a few times. "You were in pain and blood. I wanted to help you. "
The door opened, Melanie walked in with a gentle smile on her lips. "Hi. "
Cameron looked at her, his eyes widen in fear. "N-no. "

The heart rate monitor picking up once more, Azure noticed once more. "Melanie. Please go. "
Melanie looked at her mate confused and shortly left.
"You're afraid of women?" Azure asked.
"Female rogues hurt me the most. "Cameron whispered. "They cut me, beat me, hurt me so much. "Tears started to fall down his cheeks.
"I'm sorry to hear that. "The Alpha said lowly. "I'll request only for male doctors to look after you. "
"Why are y-you doing all of this?" The small male asked, wiping the tears away with his hand.
"You suffered too much. You deserve some happiness too. "Azure replied and left shortly after. Those words stayed with the small male.
"Cameron?" A voice called out, the male looked at the doctor and shook his head.
"Sorry. I zoned out for a bit. "Cameron got off the floor and looked at the doctor once more. "How's Noah doing? Please tell me he's okay. "
The doctor cleared his throat. "He's in critical condition but is strong. He'll recover."
Cameron smiled at the news, tearing up. "Good. I can't afford to lose him too. "
Phoenix raced over to Azure. "Blue!"
"Phoenix. "Azure called back seeing him.
"Is everything okay? Are you okay? I haven't seen Zander. Is he okay?" The male asked quickly.
Azure sighed softly. "Zander is alright Bird, he's with Melanie and Miles at Mavericks place. "
"Who?" Phoenix asked.
"Me. "Maverick jumped in and smiled at the male. "Ah, human. "
Phoenix looked at Maverick quite shocked.
"Anyway, Maverick meets Phoenix. He is Zander and Lukas's mate. "Azure explained.
"Ah, a polymer relationship. Quite rare considering that they are your brother Azure and both werewolves with a human mate. Fascinating. "Maverick rambled on.
Phoenix looked at Azure in confusion, waiting for an explanation.

"Maverick is Melanie's cousin. "The Alpha mumbled.
"Oh. "The male replied. "She's never mentioned you before. I got word that Luka is healing up but still is weak. "
Azure nodded. "That's good news. Maverick's time to go. "
Maverick nodded and began to walk out of the pack hospital, Phoenix looked at Azure.
"Wait... You're serious not thinking about going after the person who did this right? Azure, you're too weak. "Phoenix stepped in front of Azure.
"I'll be fine Birdie. I've been training this my whole life. This is what Alphas do. Protect their pack. "Azure got up weakly.
"And risk yourself getting killed? Are you fucking crazy? No! You are not doing this! I refuse to let you go to fight!" Phoenix shook his head.
"Phoenix. This isn't your battle. "
"It is. You're my family and I can't let you do this alone. I'm coming with you. "
"Me too. "Cameron jumped in.
"No. Phoenix, you are not ready to fight and Cameron, I can't afford for you to be involved in this. "Azure growled lowly. "Stay here you two. "
"No. They hurt Noah and they will not get away with this. "Cameron said lowly.
Phoenix nodded. "They hurt Luka and so many other pack members. The more you bring, the better chance we have at winning."
Azure groaned loudly and threw his arms in the air. "Fine! For fucks sake... Just don't fucking die on me. "
They all three walked out following after Maverick.

A Girl and Her Food
When a lost girl wakes up without a name, she quickly finds herself alone in a way that people around her can’t fix. Without a real plan and desperate to find what’s wrong with her, she thrashes and bites to stay alive. But human beings are weak things, that band together for strength, no matter who we are. Now if only she could work up the courage to ask one question... It’s normal to get stronger when you drink the blood of monsters. Right? Things to expect: - A powerful but kinda neurotic and emotional protagonist, with some degree of weak to strong. Or maybe strong to stronger, honestly. She's pretty rational and practical about things but won't always make the best decisions, so be warned if you super-dislike characters doing dumb stuff for emotional reasons sometimes. - Lots of dialogue and characterization, especially as we get more into it. It's focused on a single POV, but there might be some sections of other POVs later on, I'm not sure right now. - Magic is on the softer side, but I'll try to keep things fleshed out enough to avoid any obvious "well-established magic could have seemingly instantly solved this problem" moments. - I didn't add the mystery tag because I feel like it implies that this is a detective novel or something, but the story is absolutely incredibly opaque at times. So you'll have the most fun if you go into it trying to puzzle out the nature of events before they're explicitly explained!😇 - Also, I added the genre for completion, but it's gonna take a while to get to the romance. Please wait warmly and have some tea. Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge!

This reborn personal trainer is going to whip the royal army into shape!
Olympics Sports Trainer, Meg Thompson, had never even heard of an otome game, so when she died in Japan during the Tokyo Games and was reincarnated into one in error as the minor character, Briar Bell, she might have unintentionally messed just about everything up for the true heroine...Whether it was her befriending villainesses, or hanging out with capture targets, from the moment she was born she was setting the plot careening off course. (although if you ask her, the original storyline was stupid and hopeless to begin with #SorryNotSorry)The Heroine was supposed to seduce this medieval-esque kingdom's most eligible bachelors in order to use the power of their love to stop the encroaching demon army from destroying humanity with her heart magic. Playing the role of 'heroine' was another reincarnated woman named Sakura, a hardcore Japanese otaku who had previously been hit by a truck in a tale as old as time.Whether it is the fault of Sakura's social ineptness (as Briar would claim) or from her own interventions, humanity is now heading towards total decimation. Seems like she'll have to brush off her coaching skills and get this royal army into fighting form.
