《Obsession, Madness & Love (#6)》Chapter 21 | Surprise

time difference sucks. And so being a CEO.
It's been two weeks since World Cup started, two weeks since I should have been there in England but I couldn't.
Australia was nine hours ahead of England which means whenever her match started, it was already late at night here yet I woke up on every match day, stayed up the whole night just to watch her play. And she won. Australia has already won the three matches they had and it's on the second position on the points table. So fucking proud of her.
Today was the third match and I stayed up all night and was grateful for it because I got to see her score a wonderful century. The first century of this World Cup went to her.
But today was also Monday, that means I only slept for one hour as soon as the match ended and got up and dressed for office and in a half sleepy state I prepared some coffee for myself.
My phone rang bringing me out of the sleepy state and I smiled seeing her video calling me.
So, I cleared my throat and tried to look cheerful and not like a zombie as I answered the call. "Hey, baby."
She was lying on the bed with her palm resting under her cheek. "Calix..."
"That was a fucking beautiful century. I am so proud of you right now." I told her.
She frowned. "Did you stay up all night again? It's Monday!"
Shit. She always scold me whenever I stay up late just for her so I lied. "No...I saw the highlights this morning..."
"You sure? Because you have dark circles under your eyes...and you look like you could use some sleep."
I waved my hand. "Nah...I am fine. It's just because of work. Plus you aren't here so how can I sleep properly?"
The one thing I love the most is making her blush. She blushes so easily. "Um...okay...so, when are you coming to England? I mean I am not pressurising you but..."
I took a sip of my coffee to wake me up a bit. "Soon, baby. I'll try to finish all the work within this week and then fly over there..." And I turned my voice low and husky as my eyes roamed over her face. "...and then I am going to fuck you so hard."
I enjoyed the sharp intake of breath that she took. "Y-you... can't..."
"Why can't I?"
"I...I don't have sex during a tour. Never."
"Why is that? You are superstitious about that?"
"Kinda..."
"Fuck it, Althea. You are my wife and I am going to bury myself deep inside you the moment I am there."

She gulped and her mouth parted slightly, the pink on her cheeks darkening with every second. "Calix..." Her voice sounded so breathy that I could feel myself getting aroused.
My jaw ticked. "Say my name like that again and I'll make you watch me jerk off to you."
Her eyes widened and she sat up straight. "You have gone mad. The lack of sleep is making you say all these. And...and aren't you getting late...go to work...bye." And she hung up the call before I could respond.
Fuck. I enjoy getting her so flustered. I fucking love her so much that it gets hard to breathe, I just want to pour my heart to her.
Not yet. I reminded myself. I was being a coward. I was waiting for her to confess first cause I was scared of rejection.
Sighing, I called Lucian and he picked up on the second ring. "Someone finally remembered me."
I scoffed. "Shut up. We met two days ago. And I need you to do something."
"Sure." He sounded sarcastic. "What can I do for you, your majesty?"
"I am going to England tomorrow for as long as the Australian team is in the World Cup. And in the meantime, if Carsten makes any moves, take care of him."
I could imagine him frowning. "I fucking hate that fucker."
"Me too, bro."
"Can I come to England with you? Since I will get to watch every World Cup match."
Lucian was a cricket freak like any other Australian but also because he was half British. "If you want to be a third wheel between me and Al, sure."
Lucian has known Al since she was a kid because we have been friends since I was seven and he eight. And sometimes when he used to come to my house to play, Althea used to be there so on rare occasions we three used to play together.
But that doesn't mean he would like to be a third wheel. He hates it. He actually hates everything.
"No, thanks. I prefer watching the matches on my TV." He changed his mind immediately.
I chuckled. "Okay...now, please help me with that Carsten, okay?"
He was silent for a couple of seconds and then replied, "Okay. Get me every team's captain's autograph in return."
He was just saying that to trouble me because he was a famous person himself and if he wanted he could get anyone's autograph in the world.
"I'll try." I teased. "But right now I need to be there to support my wife."
"It's pathetic seeing you in love."
"I'll make you chew your words when you will fall in love."

"Not happening in this lifetime, Andrews."
"Oh, it will, Astor."
"Goodluck. The day that happens I will stop eating chocolates forever."
Lucian and chocolates are on another level. I laughed. "I am going to remember that. Get ready to lose."
"Sure, Andrews."
"Okay. Bye-buh, Lucian baby." I sometimes say that to fuck with him and his reaction is epic everytime.
"Looks like Althea's absence is messing with your brain, I am not your fucking baby. Stop calling me that." He growled in annoyance.
I only chuckled in return and hung up the call.
.
.
.
I didn't have the patience to wait till the next day so I flew over to London that very night and I didn't even inform Al about it. I wanted to surprise her.
I casually messaged her asking what she was doing when I stepped out of my jet and she replied saying she just woke up and will be going down for a team breakfast in the hotel where they were staying.
So, I went to that said hotel and after checking in, walked to the breakfast area where a huge long table was set around which sat her teammates and the coach and the team manager. They all seemed to be in the middle of it.
I stayed hidden from their view and leaned against a wall and messaged her. Hey, baby. Are you missing me?
Her phone which was lying on the table buzzed and she picked it up and checked my message, a soft smile playing on her lips.
She messaged me back. No, idiot. I am enjoying myself without you.
Hmm...sure. You sure you aren't thinking about me buried deep inside you?
I loved how her smile fell from her face, a flush settling over her cheeks and she subtly checked if anyone was peeking in her phone before replying. Shut up, idiot. I am not thinking of that!
Lie all you want, baby. I know you are thinking of exactly that. Touch yourself to the thought of me later and send me a video of it, okay?
Her blush darkened. Fuck off, idiot. I will do no such thing, you think too highly of yourself.
If you won't do it then I will do it for you, don't worry. You are dying for me to be there, aren't you?
She bit her lips. You are not going to be here for another week.
Really? Look up, baby.
I came out of hiding as she lifted her head and looked around in confusion before her eyes fell on me and widened. I lifted my hand and waved at her excitedly and like a child.
Seeing the shocked expression on her face, Cassie, her vice captain, followed her gaze to me and her eyes widened too before she smiled widely and started whispering and nudging her teammates.
Soon, everyone was glancing at me curiously and smiling, I walked to them and to where Al was seated and I stood behind her chair. "Hello, everyone."
They all greeted me back, waving and smiling and I then bent down to kiss Althea's top of the head. "How did you like my surprise, Al?"
She got up and faced me and whispered, "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to support my wife, is there a problem?"
"No...but you said you will be here next week."
"Yeah but I missed you a lot so here I am." I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead and I heard someone say aww.
Not liking so much attention on us, I turned to everyone. "I'm going to steal my wife for a moment."
And grabbing her arm, I dragged her out of there to the elevator. "Do you have your room's card?"
"Yeah..."
"Which floor?"
"Fifth." I pressed the button to the fifth floor and waited patiently till we reached her room and locking the door, I pressed her to the wall and crushed my lips to hers.
She kissed me back immediately, locking her arms around my neck. I kissed her desperately cause I waited for weeks for this... for a whole fucking month and her lips are so fucking addicting.
"Fuck, I missed you." I groaned into the kiss as her hand trailed down to my chest, touching me.
My fingers dug into her hips and I pulled her closer, our tongues intertwining.
When it became hard to breath, only then I pulled back and panting she buried her face in my chest and wrapped her arms around my waist, hugging me.
My fingers stroked her hair gently as I pressed a kiss there. "Did you miss me, Al?"
"Yes..." She whispered. "Tell me you are staying."
"Fuck yeah." I tightened my hold around her. "I'm staying as long as you are staying."
And she kissed the middle of my chest lingeringly in return.
And then there was a loud knock on the door. "Look, I don't like interrupting your makeout session but we need to go for practice, Thea." Of course it was Cassie.
"Yeah, maybe I should send her on a date with Lucian as a punishment for this. That would teach her a lesson."
Chuckling, she pulled back. "Shut up. She is not that bad."
I rolled my eyes and pecked her lips before letting her go.
"I'll see you later." And she gave me a kiss on the cheek before grabbing her cricket kit and walking out.
