Melody's heart sank knowing that her mate was now missing with no witnesses to even give them any clues on where to find him or who had done it. That uneasy feeling that she had been feeling must have been because of this. It was all making sense to her.

"Sean what are we going to do? We have to find him. Darren could be hurt." Serenity said rushing over to Melody to comfort her. Seeing her best friend cry was rare since Melody has always been a tough woman who thinks tears are for the weak.

"Easier said than done." Sean began. "We have no leads or where to start. I instructed Darren to investigate some unknown rouges who have infiltrated our domain? One of the omegas found Darren's phone on the ground and nothing more."

"Could his disappearance have something to do with the unknown rouges?" David asked.

"That is a possibility. Lucky for us one of the royal guards were able to capture one. This rogue will be tortured and questioned."

Serenity did not like that idea Sean had suggested. How could someone just capture a person and torture them?

"Sean, I think that's a cruel idea. We can't just capture them and torture them. What if they are innocent?" Serenity said looking straight into Sean's eyes to see if he understands what she's saying.

"Serenity is right." Melody stepped in. "We can't do that. As much as I want to save Darren, we can't just act like barbarians. Innocent before proven guilty."

"I'm going to have to agree with Melody and Serenity on this one," David said.

Sean sighed knowing the three of them were right. If he had tortured them and they turned out to be innocent it could look bad on him and for his back.

"Your right. Sorry for suggesting such a thing. I'm just worried, my friend."

Both Melody and Serenity understood what Sean is feeling for his friend Darren. A friendship like theirs reminded of them of how they are. Nowadays many don't take friendship seriously only for granted. Trust is one of the biggest issues when it comes to friendship. You never know whom you can trust, not even your own family.

"When will the rouge be here?" Melody asked.

"Right now, the rouge is being held in the dungeon," Sean answered her.

Sean leads us down to the dungeon to where the rouge was held. Walking down the corridors Serenity noticed that this dungeon reminded her of the ones she's seen in history books where prisoners were left to rot away. It was cold and damp with no sign of a window to be seen. They all stopped at a cell where a young girl who looked to be about the same age as Melody and Serenity was chinned up with eyes that showed fear as she thinks she will be killed. Her long black hair had some dirt in it and a few cuts on her knees.

"If you promise to be cooperative and answer some question's I will let you out and allow you to join my pack," Sean explained to the frightened girl. The young girl could tell that Sean was the alpha from his scent. She slowly nodded her head not daring to look into Sean's eyes.

"First off what is your name and if you belong to a pack before it would be best to tell me?"

"M-my name is Madeline and I ran away from my back called the Dark Wind pack."

Sean had heard stories of the Dark Wind pack being hostile to rouges and its pack members. The alpha in charge wanted to take over my territory by force but lost. Now Sean felt sorry for this girl and saw her as brave for running away.

"All right next question. Are the other rouges you were with any threat?" This was important for Sean to know.

The girl shook her head. "No Alpha. They are kind. They helped me escape from my pack."

"Last question. Did you happen to see anything strange happen before you were caught?"

"I did see a strange man in a black trench coat walking around. I wanted to avoid that person because my wolf Sky told me he seemed dangerous. That's when I was captured by your men."

Now that they know that some strange man could be involved with Darren's disappearance Sean issued an order to all pack members to find that man. Thanks to the help of Madeline giving them details in what the man looked like the hunt was on. Many of the pack worriers searched the area to pick up any scent that could have been missed. David took to the sky to get a bird's eye view. Melody wanted to help in the search so she tagged along with Sean and Serenity. Sean was against Serenity joining because she could be put in danger, but Serenity wanted to save Darren just as must as everyone else. Darren was her friend and it wouldn't sit right with her if she didn't help. With the sun now starting to set it was getting darker and harder to search. David had no trouble continuing since he can see at night. He is a nightwalker.

Melody's heart sank knowing they still haven't found any trace of where Darren could be. She knew Darren was still alive because of the mate bond but doesn't know if he's been injured.

"Don't worry Melody. We will find Darren and bring him home." Serenity said hugging Melody close to comfort her.

Sean decided to call off the search because of how late it was getting. The search would continue in the morning when everyone is well-rested. No use in searching if the body can't keep up. Sean didn't want the girls to head back to their home yet so he asked for them to stay with him to be safe. David wanted to take one good look around before heading back with them. Melody called her father informing him about what was happening and why she can't be home yet. Serenity didn't need to call her family because she was still upset with them for taking Fiona's side without knowing the real truth.

When making it back home Sean, Serenity, David, and Melody were greeted by a girl who was waiting for them. The girl looked distressed like she had seen something horrible. David admittedly knew who this girl was. Her name is Mia and she also happens to be Paisley's best friend. David always wondered how that girl who had a normal brain would be friends with Paisley.

"What are you doing here Mia?" Sean asked.

"I'm here because I know where Darren is," Mia said in a rushed voice.

Melody rushed over to Mia grabbing her by the arms shaking her.

"Where is her!?" Melody yelled.

"P-Paisley had someone kidnap him. I thought she was kidding around when she told me she was going to kill Sean's mate, but first kidnapping Darren and David so that they wouldn't get in the way."

No words can describe just how furious Sean and Melody was. Sean never expected that Paisley would ever do such a thing. However, David knew Paisley would because he's always known that Paisley was a crazy bitch.

"I wanted to stop her, but I knew if I did, I would be killed you all would not have known. You have to stop her. She's taken her obsession with Sean to a whole new level of insanity. I even found that she's even gotten rid of some girls who would even have the slightest chance of being mated to you, Alpha Sean."

"I knew that bitch was crazy but damn," David said shaking his head.

"Do you know where she's holding Darren now?" Serenity asked.

"I do. But we need to move now. Paisley injected him with wolf's bane so he wouldn't move."

"That bitch!" Melody cursed balling her hands into a fist making her knuckles turn white.

"What is a wolf's bane?" Serenity asked.

"Wolf's bane is like a poison to us wolves. If infected we would lose our strength and would not be able to connect with our wolf. It could even kill us like silver bullets." Sean explained.

"Mia. Take to where Darren is now." Melody said.

Mia had everyone follow her to a secret location that only Paisley trusted her with. Sean had made sure to have the pack warriors follow in pursuit just in case something was to happen. Mia leads them to an old abandon church deep into the woods. This creepily reminded both Melody and Serenity about the clown IT.

"An abandoned church. Why did it have to be an abandoned church of all things? Top it off in the god damn woods. Is this Paisley chick related to IT by any chance?" Melody asked grossed out my so many cobwebs.

"I wouldn't be surprised if she was," David said taking the lead.

After a while of walking around the church halls, Mia came to a stop where she pointed at a red door.

"That's where he's being held," Mia said.

Sean sniffed the air catching Darren's scent behind the red door. "She's right." Sean kicked down the red door with little to no effort. There they saw Darren passed out on the ground with silver chains wrapped around him. Melody rushed over to Darren's side removing the chains from his body. Darren looked so weak with his face white as a ghost. Sean Kneeled next to Darren tapping him on the face for him to wake up. With a few taps to the face, Darren stirred opening his eyes slowly.

"Darren you're okay!" Melody exclaimed with tears of joy knowing her mate is okay.

"Melody? Everyone? You found me?"

"Yeah. Thanks to Mia. Now tell me how the hell you got yourself into this mess because I know for a fact you would never let anything like this happen to you." David asks wanting to know his answer.

"We can ask questions later. Right now, we need to get Darren checked out by the pack doctor."

Sean helped Melody bring Darren to his feet making a way out of the church. Many of the packed warriors were waiting outside for further orders. One of the pack warriors came up Sean with someone they captured luring around the area.

"Let me go you asshole! Do you know who I am!?"

To everyone's surprise, the person that was caught was none other than Paisley herself trying to break free from the warrior's tight hold on her arm. Paisley's eyes landed on Sean were now her face showed fear and guilt knowing she had been caught. She looked around the crowd and saw her best friend Mia.

"Mia how could you! Why betray me like this!? You're supposed to be my friend!" Paisley screamed at Mia.

"Are you kidding me!? What kind of friend plans to kidnap and kill an alpha's mate? You're insane. I know you have an obsession with Sean but this is just crazy!"

"Wait a minute...I know you. You're that girl who tried to pick a fight with Melody at the mall." Serenity said walking closer to Sean who wrapped his arms around Serenity in a protective manner. Paisley growled with rage seeing Sean hold Serenity close to him.

"Holy crap it is her. Now I wished I slapped her that time, but know I want to do more than just a slap for what you did to my mate you crazy bitch!" Melody stepped up cracking her knuckles. David, of course, held her back.

"Paisley Hughes, for kidnapping and plans on murdering my mate who will soon be my pack's future Luna and for the deaths of innocent she-wolves you have killed by a royal decree from the alpha king you are to be put to death. I will let your father know of this for him to say his goodbyes." Sean explained with cold words.

"You can't do this to me! Sean, I love you can't you understand that! You don't need that human to be your mate. I can be a better Luna than her!"

Without warning, Melody stepped forward back slapping Paisley in the face cutting her lip.

"Don't you ever talk crap about my best friend you hear me!"

Soon Paisley was taking away to the royal castle where she will face her punishment from the king himself. Darren was placed under the pack doctors' care to treat his burns from the silver chains and drain out any lingering wolf's bane in his system. Melody stayed by his side the whole time not wanting to leave him alone. Darren explained to Sean about how he knew that Paisley was up to something but didn't have enough evidence to support it. Sean understood knowing it would have been hard for him to except since Paisley was still his friend. Mia was nice enough to tell Sean that Paisley did find her mate but she rejected him because the only one she wanted to be with was Sean. Later that night Serenity was in bed with Sean snuggling, trying to relax from tonight's event.

"I still can't believe Paisley was behind all this."

"Sean? You didn't see any red flags on her behavior?"

Sean rolled his eyes pinching Serenity's cheek in a teasing manner.

"I knew she was crazy for me, but I didn't think that craziness would lead to murder."

"I would have." Serenity said pecking Sean on the lips till he pulled her closer deepening the kiss more making Serenity moan softly. Sean pulled away looking to her eyes lovingly.

"Serenity there is something I forgot to mention to you."

"What is it?"

"Well once a wolf has found his mate, he has to mark her showing that they belong to each other and other male wolves don't dare to flirt with a taken she-wolf or in this case human."

Serenity sorta understood what Sean was saying.

"O-okay. How do you mark me?"

"I bite your neck deeply and marking will appear. It will hurt only for a second then you will appearance pleasure throughout your body."

Serenity blushed over fifty shades of red making Sean chuckle. Serenity knew she was already in love with him and can see her whole life by his side. She gave Sean the okay for him to mark her. Sean leaned in extending his fangs into Serenity's neck causing her to within pain followed by a few tears. Soon the pain was replaced with pure pleasure running through her body. Sean licked away some blood seeing a small cute butterfly marking on her neck. This made Sean truly happy to finally mark his mate. The rest of the night was not only when he marked her but now made love the whole night.
