《》SCENE-5

"Om sarvani..." Deva narrowed his eyes covering his head with pillow as he heard the god's Keerthana and got up irritated before getting down the stairs and followed the voice directly leading him to the pooja room to stop at the entrance to see Siva in a white chudidar singing to the god as she showered the idol with the flowers as everyone stood along with him.
She ended her song and took the haarathi before coming out and showed the plate to take the blessings and stood before Deva who gritted his teeth "Are you provoking me woman don't forget why you are here" making her face turn innocent.
"I know that's why I'm asking my Mahadev (lord shiva) to take care of the kindest person who's helping me when I'm in need" Siva explained innocently making the guys hide their smile as Deva clenched his jaw and looked at the haarathi plate before going upstairs.
When Deva came downstairs he saw Maniamma at the dining table arranging the dishes and went to have breakfast. Maniamma served idly, Vada to him and he munched on his tiffin as Siva came into the dining hall joining him.
Maniamma widened her eyes and stopped serving chutney mid air making everyone look at her as Siva asked "What are you doing Maniamma? Serve him fast I'm hungry" as she went through her phone to see calls from her mom and other family members which she ignored.
They looked between Deva and Siva as she continued "Are you guys not having breakfast?" looking at the boys who shook their heads. Though they were friends, Deva is still their boss, their employer who gave them their jobs and they respect that. They have bro code but it doesn't mean that they can mix their professional and personal relationships.

Seeing Maniamma still in shock Siva shook her head and served herself idly and chutney munching on it as she instructed "I don't want upma and bonda so cook them less and I like chapathi, poori and masala dosa alot make them as often as possible" making Deva stand up and washed his hands after completing his breakfast.
Just then they heard footsteps and saw few old men walking inside making them go into living room as Siva went to wash her hands after her breakfast and joined them standing beside Prem while one of the old men talked to Deva "Doctor Deva we are thankful to you for coming to our village and give free medical treatment to our people" making Siva raise her eyebrows looking at Deva.
"I'm just a doctor and we do this everytime and it's my duty" Deva said making men smile as the same old man continued "You are really kind hearted. We are here today because of the pooja held in our village's temple tomorrow and we'd like it if you come and take blessings of the god" making Deva blank.
"I've lots of work at the hospital thankyou for inviting" Deva politely rejected making their expressions change as Prem cleared his throat saying "Actually we've to check the equipment with the hospital and all" making the men nod in understanding.
"If you have time please come to the temple" The president of the village said and all of them started moving out when they stopped looking at the new girl "Who is this beautiful girl?".
"She is a relative of Deva baabu and she's going to help them with their works"Maniamma explained before anyone could speak making them nod and say "You should also come dear" before going out of the villa.

Debut: the day every young gentleperson of age gathers to receive their Spirit Blessing and shift for the first time into their second form. Except for those who don't. Beatrice's worst fear is to be one of the unlucky few trapped perpetually in a human body, cut off from the magic of the spirits and unfit for any respectable pack or pride. But when the time comes to face her fear, the outcome is one she never could have imagined. Be warned, this story is some highly experimental fluff—an unapologetically girly, unrelentingly bisexual, Regency/Victorian-ish fantasy mish-mash. It does have a dark side, though, so don’t come in expecting all sunshine and roses. Worthy of note, given the reputation of shifter stories: there will be no explicit sex in this tale. There will, however, be lots of polyamorous romance, necromancy, portal magic, capricious spirits, elemental mages, an unconventional take on shifters and a highly ordered society built around their existence.

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.
