'Marital bed?' Siva thought looking at Deva who pushed the food cart to the seating area in the chambers and returned back unbuttoning his shirt making her tense lightly and avoid his gaze.
She slowly moved onto her side of bed and lied back wincing whenever her feet touched or rubbed with the blanket as he got onto the bed and hovered over her from the side making her stop breathing looking at him as he searched her face and slowly unpinned her saree from the blouse.
She held his wrist stuttering out "W..h..hat are you doing?"
"What are you expecting me to do?" Deva asked her making her confused as he put the safety pin on the dressing table.
He pulled the blankets onto them making her sigh but gasped as he held her bare waist under her saree and turned her on her side pulling her close to him which made their torso press together and looked at her lips making her even more nervous.
"You shouldn't have done that" Deva said slowly.
"I.. it's a family tradition and now that I'm your wife and daughter in law of the Raayala family it's my duty to fulfill certain responsibilities" Siva explained.
"I thought I could keep you away until everything is settled but looks like luck is not on my side as always" Deva said making her search his face.
"Can I ask you something?" Siva asked making him frown.
"If I say no would you stop asking" Deva teased making her roll her eyes.
"If.. I had not been in an accident would our lives be different today?" Siva asked making him sigh.
"It might have but I would have kept you away anyhow" Deva answered honestly.
"And you really thought you could actually keep me away? I mean...how did you even think that I would stay away from my husband?" Siva asked incredibly.

"You can be stubborn but I would've convinced you" Deva confidently said making her raise her eyebrow.
"Really? That's not possible in this lifetime. But what's bugging me is that where did you go the next morning?" Siva asked seriously.
"To bring these and complete our marriage" Deva said showing the ring on his left hand making her look at his hand then at him before slowly breathing and bent her head down avoiding his gaze resting her head on his shoulder closing her eyes making him press his lips on top of her head.
"Hima...Listen to me.." Raja Chandra Pratap Gupta tried to talk holding Hima's hand.
She pulled her hand out of his hold yelled at him "What do you wanna talk? You lost the right to talk to me when you took Deva's side. You literally betrayed us" and was about to walk away.
Raja Chandra Pratap Gupta pulled her wrist and pinned her to the wall closing her mouth with his other palm gritting out "Why are you over reacting? Huh? You listen to me. I had to do it because your family was wrong may be you should start digging about them soon because trust after marriage they'll not be in our lives".
She frowned and bit his palm making him pull back while she wiped her mouth "Marry you? Go to hell!"
He chuckled saying "Be like that. Challenge me. If you easily fall for me there'll be no thrill at all" making her grit her teeth and walk away as he smirked at her while she went inside
the hospital.
Deva was looking at the wall deep in thoughts when he felt Siva move wincing in her sleep and looked at her who blinked opening her eyes to see him still awake and looked at the old grandfather clock to see it's already three in the dawn before returning her gaze back to him.

They looked at each other for a few seconds before he hovered over her making raise her eyebrows in shock as he leaned down completely on her which made their bodies press together while he pushed the part of her saree on her waist aside.
She held the sheets in her fists as he dipped his nose in the crook of her neck making her breath shallowly as he rested his head on her shoulder holding her waist and closed his eyes. And after a few minutes she sighed slowly and hesitantly put her arms around him patting his back.

An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
