《Uninvited | Jikook Smut |》Chapter 15: Marked

Jungkook's heart dropped as soon as he looked at the corpse that had the same detailed tattoo. For sure, there was no doubt that it was the same one; but what did it mean to be a ‘pet?’ Jungkook was afraid and the news alone showing this, made him want to stay under his own bed. The boy understood what was going to happen to him and just waiting around for it to occur; gave him goosebumps. He was finally aware of what could happen to him with this tattoo printed onto his shoulder.
“I-I'm going to be a pet?! What is a pet?!” Jungkook hissed in fear as he stepped back after seeing the corpse of who he believed was a young man around his early twenties. Such a life cut short. Jungkook didn't know what to think, so he opened his dresser and stepped inside to sit under all the clothes he had. Not even wanting to put on a shirt. “I don't want to be found! I want to stay here forever… I don't want to die!”
As Jungkook kept arguing with himself, Yoongi knocked on his bedroom door and tilted his head. “Jungkook, Hurry up already.” Spoke the older as he banged his fists against the wooden door to the room. “I'm going in, I better not see you naked.” The man claimed and with that, he managed to unlock the bedroom door and get in. By there, his eyes scanned along the empty room until he realized that Jungkook wasn't in the room. “Where did you go?”
“I'm h-hiding…” Jungkook called out as Yoongi fixed his eyes over at the news that showed more coverage on the murder that took place. “Yoongi, leave me!” Jungkook shouted from within the dresser, but the man stood there and stared at the news over the television with a plain look in his face. Right after, Yoongi reached over to the remote and switched the television off before any words could be discussed further into the news. He was silent after and that made Jungkook blink his eyes with the sudden silence. “Y-Yoongi?” Instantly, the older man swung the door to the dresser open and met eyes with Jungkook hiding behind the clothes. “A-AH!”
“Get out of there, you look stupid.” Yoongi bickered as Jungkook crawled out of the dresser where he glanced up at Yoongi to see that the television was off. “Are you scared?”
“Of course I am! They are out to get me… The news showed a dead body that had the same tattoo as mine. I have a feeling I'll get kidnapped and turned into some pet! We need to go to the police station now.” Jungkook spoke as the older man rose a brow in concern. “I can't live like this; the pain, the fear.. I don't want to know what the future holds and it's killing me, Yoongi! We need to go now. I don't care if they won't believe me or protect me… That's the reason why I have you! To protect me and help me when no one else would.” The boy claimed and this moved the emotionless man to blink his eyes and change his still position. “I don't have Jimin in my life anymore… But it doesn't mean I have to shove you out of it…”

“Oh Jungkook… Shut up already, I'll take you to Mcdonald's and then we'll go to the police station-”
“Let's order through drive-thru. I don't want to deal with this any further. I have an opening to finally get this off my chest and waiting any longer just isn't right for me. It isn't healthy at all.” Jungkook mentioned. By there, he placed on his shirt while Yoongi stood still and great posture; watching the young man's every move with worry. Even it seemed that Yoongi feared what could become of his good friend.
Without further ado, they made it past the drive-thru and Jungkook was eating along the way. The boy ate two cheeseburgers, along with large fries and cold coca-cola to wash it down. However, Yoongi didn't eat anything. This made Jungkook wonder what went on in Yoongi's mind. He was very kind, very caring when Jimin walked out of Jungkook's life just before; yet… a different side of him showed when it came to coming clean to the police. Jungkook nervously munched down on the final handful of his salty fries while Yoongi kept staring at him with a lighthearted smile appearing over his own, pale, face. Even if he seemed very silent at this moment, those feelings he had towards Jungkook; never changed and they seemed to grow. On the other hand, Jungkook was only starting to walk with the feelings he still hid for Jimin even if he was the one that got away so soon.
With Jungkook's heart nearly pounding when he walked to the police station by Yoongi's side, he knew he was doing the right thing by focusing on the wrong here. He had to let the police know in case anything bad was to happen to him along the way and this was it. He wasn't going to wait forever until he gets kidnapped to hope for a hero. This was when he takes action for himself. It didn't take much to approach the police officer at the front desk, but when he did… He felt a stare coming from the side of the room. But when he looked to the side, there was nobody there. It was an uneasy feeling in the big, spaced, room of the station.
Jungkook then gathered the courage and met with the officer at the desk and looked at the woman in worry. “H-Hi… I need to report something…” Jungkook spoke up and the woman tilted her head in concern. “Do you know the news where they showed the corpse of a young man with a supposedly tattoo over his shoulder and his death remained a mystery… I have the same exact tattoo over my shoulder! But this is something I didn't go to get done… I woke up with it… I know I shouldn't complain about this now; when I first got it was a week or two ago and I believed I wasn't going to get any help but along those endless weeks, I felt like I was being watched!” Jungkook spilled everything that needed to be said as the woman at the desk just batted her eyes and leaned in closer.
“So you have a stalker and you believe it has to do with the death of the young man on the news? Let me see the tattoo, mister. I don't want to believe anything until I see it.” The woman so kindly replied and this made Jungkook nod his head and remove his shirt to keep his tank top over his torso; revealing the tattoo right after. “Thirteen… So we do have another…”

“A-Another?”
“You're our second person who came forward about the tattoo today…” The woman added as Yoongi stood by Jungkook at that second. “To your right, you'll see another who has the same tattoo. But let's get this all sorted out today and get you officers. I'll tell our detective about this.”
“Which detective?” Yoongi suddenly asked and this question took the lady by surprise since Yoongi hasn't said a word the whole time. Almost making her believe he was mute.
“Kim Seokjin. He's been working on this case for quite some time. He'll be here soon if you want to speak with him longer. He already recorded what's been going on with the first person that reported the same tattoo, so… He'll love to hear from you to gather more information on the missing people here and there.” The woman concluded as Yoongi looked at Jungkook and walked by his side to sit down and wait for the detective to get there.
“I knew we should have came here sooner… turns out I only waited longer! Imagine what could have happened to me if I lived my life without coming forward?” Jungkook asked and looked at Yoongi.
“My fault… I thought they wouldn't focus on some kid with a tattoo… Turns out, you're not the only one. It carries the same details…” Yoongi pointed out and kept staring at it. “It's like you're marked for something… But what could it be for?”
“Some… Pet? I don't know what it is… but I don't want to see what happens when the time comes.” Jungkook claimed and laid back against the couch. “Is it something like… A sex ring?” Jungkook brainstormed as Yoongi was silenced to toss these thoughts a little more around his head. Just with that question being asked and having it float around in his mind; the detective was here. Jungkook's eyes fell onto a tall and broad shoulder, man with a complexion of a prince. He walked up to the lady at front and she pointed towards Jungkook's direction. Making Seokjin look over to the two at the couch. He wore a pale, light pink dress shirt, black slacks held up with a black, leather belt, and tied in with his black, classy shoes. The man was very tall and carried a kind complexion that made Jungkook feel calm about the situation. With glimpses exchanged, detective Kim Seokjin signalled them to follow him to his office right down the hall.
Jungkook followed the tall man along with Yoongi as they soon reached his wide office. Inside the dimmed office, sat another man just typing away in his phone along with a baby girl that was at least five months old; over his own chest. The man sitting on the couch had dirty blond hair, dark brown eyes hiding behind glasses and dimples showing each time he looked down at the baby over his chest.
“Welcome, this is my office, I'm Detective Kim Seokjin and I will be focusing on the case ‘Thirteen.’ don't mind that idiot over there, that's Namjoon. He's my partner in this case and that baby he's holding is his. He just doesn't have anyone to take care of her.”
“H-Hey! I just don't trust anyone with her… Not even her Mother! That's why I have custody of my little Kim Yunhi. Keep it down too!” The single parent uttered and continued to text on the phone as Seokjin rolled his eyes and scoffed.
“Nobody asked.” Retorted the detective. Sitting down to switch on the lamp and point Yoongi and Jungkook to a seat. “Anyway, the woman told me that you have the same tattoo as the recent victim to a murder… And I can tell that tattoo wasn't recent. She also mentioned that it was around a week ago. Of course, it still shows. What's your name? Both of you…”
“Jeon Jungkook… And that's Min Yoongi. He isn't much of a talker when it comes to this… I'm sorry.” Jungkook spoke for Yoongi as the detective locked his stare onto Yoongi in silence.
“Hm… Jungkook, come here, I need to look at that tattoo closely.” Seokjin mentioned as Jungkook hesitated to stand up. “Come on, hurry up.” Jungkook then approached the detective as Seokjin held the boy's arm and kept his eyes locked onto the details he found through his magnifying glass. Once he rose the glass over Jungkook's pale skin; he found the same details that were in the dead corps' shoulder as well. “Right shoulder…” whispered the man as Jungkook's heart began to pound in worry.
“What does that mean, detective?” Namjoon called out while Jungkook gulped in silence.
“He's the only one with the tattoo on his right shoulder. All the other ones are on the left except for his… and the details in his has the fine edge of the roman numeral curved upwards. Not downwards. Oh this just got interesting…” Detective Seokjin called out and counted the spaces from the top of his shoulder and to the actual tattoo. “Five spaces…not ten like the others. His tattoo is high up his shoulder… The others have it near the arm.. Whoever did this tattoo, did this difference on purpose.”
After, Yoongi noticed how worried Jungkook was, he had to ask for the boy. What did this really mean? “Detective, what are you trying to say?”
“I'm saying… Jungkook is different. He's marked… But for something else. This tells me that those who have it on the left are the so called ‘pets' but Jungkook… He seems different. I don't know for what reason. He's marked but not a ‘pet' or whatever that shit show is called.” Seokjin replied as Namjoon sat up with his cooing daughter in his arms.
“So what you're saying is… ‘Pets’ are different than what Jungkook is marked for. This has to be human trafficking! These designs come out different and for sure it's not gang related. You're marked for a reason. Thus, making your tattoo very different from the rest.” Namjoon connected the dots and took one glance at Jungkook right after. “Jungkook, have you ever heard of human trafficking?”

I know that I take a perspective that many will strongly disagree with, and I'm okay with that. Just be warned that this isn't lighthearted stuff. This is real, and death is real, and this part streaches beyond the fiction into reality. -I'm going to say a minor spoiler, but I don't want it to take you unaware because it is something to be aware of. At one point, my MC attempts suicide and fails. It's a very violent scene and I will put up the gore tag after writing this, and it's also just really depressing. If this will be triggering, you need to be aware of this before you read it. -This is a christian book. It may go against some of your beliefs. I hope that you can read and comment anyway even if some of it does not sit well with you. Credits for the cover go to the user 'Media in Sanity'. Your help and assitance has meant so much to me, God bless you in your writing and your endevours. A proud member of WriTE. I've promised to finish this fiction and update it at least once a month. My schedule is very irregular, and I'm working on that, but I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that this book stays out there. I'm not ending it until it's done.
