《Uninvited | Jikook Smut |》Chapter 16: A Riddle

Human trafficking was what struck Jungkook with silence after. He recalled Yoongi talking about it, but what were the odds of it happening in the younger man's life? These were things that made Jungkook grow quiet as fear came over him once again. “Y-Yes… I know what it is…” Confessed the boy as his voice seemed to tremble with the thought. “Human trafficking… Could that be it?”
“I wouldn't bet on it. We are just assuming. Maybe this is something different to the enemy…who knows? You could even get recruited to a secret organization! We can't be too sure. But until then, we will be assigning you and that other person, two officers to perform a stake out mission every night. Watching over you in case anything big goes down. We'll know.” Seokjin was a very intelligent man right by his partner Kim Namjoon, they were serious and they put all hands on the case before them. There was no way they would ever miss out on such a big part in a case like this.
“But, Human trafficking seems to be where the money is. What else can you tell us about these encounters with a ‘stalker' you need to tell us all.” Namjoon insisted and by there, Jungkook walked back to his own seat and sat down before putting his shirt on after.
“I-I remember a figure… A black figure that would watch over me and even in my sleep, I'd see it… Yesterday I was drunk and I was running home around three or two… Can't remember the time. As I ran back to my apartment, I looked back and there was now, more than one figure chasing after me. I didn't know if I was going to make it but as soon as I reached the top floor and got inside my apartment room, I took a look outside and noticed that no one else was out there. It was like they were chasing me only to scare me. I know I wasn't seeing things and I have felt their speed breaking wind at one point. Whether they surrounded me or not, I was never taken or hurt. I just woke up to this tattoo on my shoulder.” Jungkook claimed and then remembered how his door was always left open. “For some odd reason… I always seem to find my door unlocked and the chair I put under the door knob… misplaced by morning.”
Seokjin then held his index finger against his own thumb at that moment and nodded to himself. “Could this be a sign to investigate? We'll schedule an investigation tomorrow as soon as I get my warrant in check. Only then, we'll take a good look around your place. Ah, I'm so glad you came here today, Jungkook! You're really helping us with the case. Until then, we're going to have to ask you to lay low for now. You can't go to school-”
“B-But my education! What am I going to do?” Jungkook asked as Yoongi chuckled.
“Online college?” Yoongi suggested as Jungkook face palmed right there. “Sure you won't be in campus, but you'll be online and maybe video chat with the professors to keep your attendance in check?”
“I go to one of the best universities… Please let me go!” Jungkook begged and begged, but Detective Kim and his partner wasn't going to let Jungkook sacrifice himself just for school. “I can't stay locked up at my own place… That's where all the issues happen!”

“Jungkook, tone it down a bit, you'll wake my little princess up…” Hissed Namjoon into a whisper as Seokjin turned his head to Jungkook. “Either way, you should listen to the detective. We are doing this to protect you. Lay low… You need to!” Namjoon had to reassure the boy as Yoongi patted Jungkook's back for comfort. “We'll send officers to your address for a stakeout mission. Put down your address here.” The detective's partner then pointed to the desk where there was a post it note along with a pen by its side to put down the address.
“So… They'll hide along the block? Do you want me to stay with him in case anything happens?” Yoongi asked as Seokjin was busy observing the man right by Jungkook.
“Oh please… stick with Jungkook. We need all the help we can get.” Seokjin chimed in. Smiling at Yoongi and picking up an off feeling from the man. “He seems very clingy to Jungkook… Are they together?” Seokjin wondered and folded his arms after. “Are the two of you… Dating?” Seokjin asked as Yoongi blushed so suddenly. “Ha… he likes him..” Seokjin continued to talk in his head as he gazed at Jungkook quickly shake his head.
“We're just friends!” Jungkook admitted and left Yoongi to sigh before throwing his arm around the younger student's shoulder. “Are we free to go now?”
“Go ahead. Write down your address and you can go. Don't worry about a thing, we'll take care of it.” Promised the detective and with that, Jungkook and Yoongi made it out the office. The two grew silent and only focused on leaving the police station to go somewhere else since they missed out on their afternoon class already. Jungkook was afraid of the odds of getting kidnapped while Yoongi, was excited to spend his whole day with the younger. However, he wasn't worried for Jungkook one bit!
“Where to now, Jeon Jungkook?” The older questioned and reached over to his friend's hand to hold and slow him down from rushing down the hall. “Calm down, Jungkook! You look like you'll die if you don't make it home!” Just then, Jungkook was brought to a stop as he turned to Yoongi with a worried stare just shaking from the gleam of his own eyes.
“Yoongi, didn't you hear what they said? I can't go anywhere! That stalker could kidnap me, so I have to lay low…” The boy assured as Yoongi kept his stare into the younger. “This is just the worst day of my life. First I lose Jimin… Now I lose my freedom.” As Jungkook said those words, he felt a chill down his spine and turned around to see a man standing there with a big smile. His smile was a bit nerve-racking, even if it was the most brightest smile, it was a little creepy to the boy. The tall and brown haired man stood there with a grin over his slightly tanned face, his black police uniform and his hands fixed behind his back. Jungkook felt his heart pound in fear just seeing this officer smile at him.
“Officer Jung Hoseok!” Called out a lady at the front desk far up ahead as the man slowly moved his eyes to lock onto the lady before glancing back at the two in front of him. Never breaking that silent smile. He looked at Yoongi and tipped his head down slightly before walking off to meet up with the lady at the front desk with no words exchanged after. Jungkook just didn't know who or what that man was doing; It was like he tried to talk through his stare that fell into silence after.

“W-What on earth was that…?” Jungkook whispered and kept staring at Jung Hoseok. He was rather surprised that the man was still holding a smile and not even exchanging a few words. The only thing he did was nod his head at Yoongi; which didn't really raise a brow towards Jungkook at all.
“A smile… But he just took it too damn far.” Yoongi then looked at Jungkook and laughed before shoving him. “Why are you so scared? He's probably very awkward. Let's go talk to him! He's new here I bet.” Yoongi then grabbed onto Jungkook's hand and led him forward; but something in Jungkook told him that there was something wrong with this creepy officer. “Come on!”
“Y-Yoongi… I-I don't think that's a great i-idea!” Jungkook fretted until Yoongi dragged the boy to stand by the scary officer that was smiling down at a file and humming to himself behind his own white and perfectly aligned teeth. As perfect as his smile was, Jungkook didn't feel welcomed by it at all.
“Hi, Officer Jung! This is my friend Jeon Jungkook! We are interested in joining the force!” Yoongi teased the young man as the man stopped humming and slowly rose his eyes to meet with Jungkook. Not even batting his eyes over at Min Yoongi. With that, Jungkook felt his heart drop once the officer met eyes with his; still holding the still smile. “Have any advice for him?”
“Sorry, I can not give you any advice. But, I do like games! Do you like games?” The officer asked with a soft tone to his calm voice and placed his hands behind his back with a perfect posture after. “Let's play a riddle game!”
“N-No, sir… My friend and I need to go home now.” Jungkook then turned around and started to walk as the officer tilted his head after with a smile.
“A baby boy, torn from a mother's hands… father doesn't know, but the evil man does. Evil man takes the boy into his own hands… Does he give the boy horns or wings?” Called out the officer as Jungkook looked back once more and gulped. What could this mean? “Won't you play?”
“Yoongi…. Let's go…” Jungkook then turned around and walked forward as Yoongi smiled at the officer once more and walked away to follow Jungkook.
“Evil man finds the father, does he give him the baby with wings or horns?!” Hoseok rose his voice again while Jungkook kept walking off while Yoongi kept looking back to chuckle.
“I like him. I should have asked for his number. He's hot.” Yoongi joked around as Jungkook turned his head so quickly to face the older. “Imagine him giving you a riddle while he's tying you up against the bed an-”
“Oh shut up, Yoongi… That guy gives me the creeps…” Jungkook concluded as Yoongi kept looking back at the officer that approached the entrance of the police station. Keeping his smile as he looked at the two leave.
Later on the same afternoon, Jimin sat in a dimmed room where it seemed to have a long and silent space with a meeting table in the middle where the light fell onto the dark brown wood of the varnished table. Jimin wasn't alone in the room however, he was sitting with a baby on a high chair right by his side. It was a small baby boy that has just turned one years old. He had round and beautiful eyes, black silk hair, chubby cheeks and pale skin. As Jimin looked at the boy and fed him spoonfuls of sweet and sour applesauce, his eyes gleamed as he looked into the eyes of the young child before him.
“After this… You're going to sleep… Understand?” Jimin whispered as he looked at the young baby boy with a soft smile. He set the bowl of applesauce down and rolled the silk bangs of the boy back. “Cutie… You must feel so neglected while I'm at work… Don't you?”
“Pa, more!” The boy spoke up as Jimin let out a soft chuckle before ruffling the young baby boy's hair.
“You love applesauce don't you…?” Jimin whispered and just then, his phone vibrated as he flinched and brought his phone up to see a tracking device set onto someone in Seoul, South Korea. “Jeon Jungkook… Where on earth are you going now?” Jimin whispered and zoomed in to see the address where the young man was at the moment. There was never a time where he stopped thinking of the young student and through this, he was never thinking of letting Jungkook go. “I don't know what's wrong with me, Suyong… I just can't keep myself off of him… He's so perfect… So smart and it's sad he doesn't think the same way about himself.” Jimin spoke as the young boy looked at the man and blinked his eyes in silence, trying to reach for the bowl of applesauce.
“Pa… Suyong wants that!” Suyong spoke out as Jimin passed the child the bowl before he was interrupted by a man who stepped into the room wearing a suit and tie with a smile painted over his pale face. As the man stepped in, he tilted his head at Jimin and looked at the young man with the boy by his side.
“Jimin, the boss wants to remind you if you paid her for this month… You know what deal you made right? You must own up to it.” The man spoke with a smile as Jimin nodded his head as he looked at Suyong once more. Still holding onto the tracking device app that allowed him to see where Jungkook was, just within his own phone.
“Oh The things I do for you both.”
