The past six days have been hell for me.
I couldn't tell my parents, I'm pretty sure my mother would make me beg and compromise to keep him and if I was honest... I didn't want to embarrass myself anymore than I probably already have.
Everything I told myself to keep going was thrown out the door by the second day without him. I have no one, I'd rather jump off a cliff than apologize to Olivia.
Maybe that's why this is so hard, Logan was here for me through everything and now he's gone. Against my better wishes, probably for good.
I finally got out of bed today, fixed my hair a little and showered. I didn't even bother with makeup, but I threw on some sweats before driving to the store. I didn't want to use Logan's driver anymore, it hurt to even look at the things he left behind.
I'd pretty much gave up on eating healthy and decided to treat myself to fast food delivery this past week. DoorDash is a blessing and a curse.
I'm sure I gained a few pounds, but I didn't find the heart to worry about that right now. As I walked in, I went to pick up some sushi, enough burgers and pizza. I was going to cleanse my pallet and detox.
After tossing a bunch of fruit and veggies into the cart, I went to grab some pasta. I was determining on whether or not I wanted the stuffed pasta or just something regular spaghetti when I felt eyes on me.
My head turned instinctively to the right and I caught a man looking but he cleared his throat and looked away. He had a basket full of protein, a few veggies here and there.
"Uh, I'm sorry for staring or if I made you uncomfortable. I'm only supposed to be here for three things but I'm oddly distracted by you." His voice was heavy with an accent, I wanted to say Italian, but I couldn't be sure.

He was extremely attractive, so why the hell was he looking at me right now? I knew I looked like a total slob, I didn't even have makeup on.
He looked at my expression and his expression changed, "not oddly, heh, I-I mean that— I'm really bad at this, huh?" He let out a chuckles and brushed a hand through his hair.
"Yeah, you are... but it's cute." I let out a giggle before slapping a hand over my mouth. Ew, did I just—
He let out a chuckle, "would it be incredibly forward of me to ask you out for lunch?" I removed my hand from my mouth and sighed.
"I would love to but it's very complicated, my life." Feeling the sadness hit me again, I closed my eyes briefly before opening them. He was giving me a soft smile.
"Maybe talking about it will help
un-complicate some things?" He raised a dark brown and stared down at me.
I but my lip and looked around, contemplating. "Where were you thinking of?"
His face brightened and he let out a nervous laugh. "Uh, does Franco's Café work? Say... one-ish?"
I looked at my watch to see that it was just now eleven, I nodded and smiled at him. "Yeah, that works. I'll see you there?" I trailed off, wondering about his name.
"Dominick. Dominick Di Vaio." He held out his hand for me to shake.
"Sarah... Sarah Copeland." I put my hand in his and tried not to smile too hard when he kissed my hand. Might as well get used to saying my maiden name now.
"I'll see you then, Sarah." He waved a hand and walked down to another isle.
Blinking hard, I attempted to clear my thoughts. "Dude, your husband is leaving you, what are you doing?" I smacked my forehead. An elderly woman gave me a weird look, I rolled my eyes and grabbed my pasta before walking up to the cashier.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, pulling it out, I read the text from Logan.
👹
I'll be there at around 12 to pick up the rest of my things.
Feeling angry, I scoffed and thanked the lady as she took my cart and rung up my items. He didn't even fucking ask me if I was free, he just knew I would be. Asshole.
I'll show him.
Tapping furiously, I send the message and nod to myself. I pay the lady, thank her, and push the cart out the door.
I pop the truck open with the keys and put my groceries in. I looked at my phone to see that he responded again.
👹
Ok, omw
Gritting my teeth, the BALLS on him! Who the hell does he think he is?! My time is just as fucking important!
You know what, I know I'm just going to lunch, but I'm going to put on a nice dress and do my makeup. I won't overdue it, it's not dinner. But there's no chance in hell I'll let Logan see me sad and in sweats over him.
Fuck that bastard.
Fuck him.
