I'm at home with my drunk and abusive dad. I'm shaking and scared. He is so loud right now. I don't know what to do. my mom made the right decision of leaving him. i had a choice. I made the wrong one. I decided to stay with my dad because I thought he would change. I was totally wrong. I have one little brother, Emery, which is staying in my room with me. He's absolutely mortified. I don't know what to do to comfort him, fml.

My brother and I are scared for our lives. I love my little brother so much. I would never let anyone touch him. I hear my dad's footsteps up the stairs. Ugh, I hate calling him dad.

Your dad slams the door open. He reaches for your little brother but you stand up and protect him. That means you would have to face the consequences. You would get beat til you were almost passed out. This happens a lot. Everyday you think of how much of a stupid decision you made staying with your dad.

y/n's pov

Finally he leaves the house to go drink again. I text Matt, my best friend. God I love him so much. I moved to his school and now were inseparable. He's always there for me. Maybe I'll just go to his house with my brother. my dad wouldn't know where I am.

emery runs out the house and to the van. we make it to McDonalds and emery gets his four piece. we also got him a small fry because we felt bad for him. I got a ten piece, a McFlurry, and a large fry.

at this point, emery didn't care so he followed around his new mom

Matt: I've always wanted to sleep in a hammock. They seem so comfortable

nick: ok we need to go get one now because he's gonna sleep here today

we ended up putting the hammock in chris' room

it's about 3:00 am. I cant sleep. Well, I'm scared to sleep. What if my dad finds where im staying? What if I get kicked out of the triplet's house because my dad comes here and does something stupid like he always does? That's stupid. That wouldn't happen.....would it? that's enough. I should try to get some sleep now.

it's only been 5 minutes. I don't think I'm gonna sleep tonight. Nick is sound asleep and I'm just laying on the other side scared and wide awake. I'm gonna go to Matt's room instead.

You were getting really tired so you were gonna get a sweater and lay down in Matt's bed until he came back. He has so many sweaters. You don't know which one to pick. looks like you took too long, he's already back.

matt: want me to pick out a sweater for you

matt: .....this one will definitely suit you. you can change in my bathroom

you: ok thanks

You put the sweater on and it's huge, it's like 3 sizes too big. its really comfortable though. You walk out of his bathroom and he sees you in it.

matt: you look great with my clothes on

I'm staying in Matt's room for the night. I think I like him. I have to stop falling for people. I'm just gonna go grab my phone so I'm not the only one trying to sleep. i think I woke Chris up. im knocking on matt's door because his ass won't wake up. i decide to just walk in. ugh i hated seeing him with y/n. I've liked y/n ever since I laid my eyes on her. she had to move to our school because she got bullied really bad which led her to be suicidal. she still has the scars. even thinking about it makes me wanna cry. im so glad that shes still with us today.

me: matt get up

matt: quiet down bro shes sleeping

me: ok you get up and let her rest

we get the water and we make sure to put extra ice in it. we head to nick's room and see y/n coming out of matt's room

i start to make everyone 2 waffles then the boys come downstairs. i hand them their waffles and put the maple syrup in the middle of the counter. it was pretty quiet then chris speaks up.
