"Mae!" She shouts. I hadn't realized I had fallen asleep. "You okay?" Alahna asks and I just nod. I knew that she realized I wasn't ok but I didn't want to say it out loud. "C'mon then," She says while pulling me out of the car. I also didn't realize that everyone else had gotten out of the car.
"Sorry..." I say when I get out of the car and Alahna gave me a surprised look. "I didn't mean to shout at all of you, I was just..." I didn't want to say his name or even talk about him and I think Alahna caught onto that since she just hugged me and we walked to Mia's house.
I've been over to Mia's house so many times that I lost count and every time it always amazes me. Her parents own a huge company so she has always had everything she could ever want. Sometimes I'm embarrassed to bring her over to my house, I'm always scared that she will judge or she won't want to be my friend anymore. So she has only ever been to my house twice.
"Are you ok-" Mia was cut off by Alahna elbowing her in the stomach, I didn't know what to do so I just looked down and started to play with the ring on my finger. "Bitch" She muttered which made me laugh. I looked up to see everyone looking at me which made me embarrassed.
"Let's go to the theatre" I suggest and Alahna squeals while grabbing my arm and dragging me to the theatre.
Once we got there Alahna and I went to sit in our usual spots - Maeve sits in the corner, and Alahna sits next to her - while we waited for everyone to follow. It didn't take long for everyone to walk in, Mia went straight for the remote while the triplets just stood in the doorway not really knowing what to do.
"We have to watch the black phone!" Mia shouts while jumping on the couch. "Guys come sit down" She motions to the triplets to sit on the other side of the couch and they do. "You guys okay with the black phone?" She asks but it's mostly pointed at the triplets since she didn't care if we wanted or didn't want to watch it.
"Yeah sure," Matt says after looking at his brothers and then back at Mia.
Mia then nods and searches for the movie. After about 10 minutes of screaming and fighting, we finally found it. She puts it on and we all sit back and watch. I was sharing a blanket with Alahna and Mia while the triplets were sharing a blanket with each other.
I really don't like The Grabber for many reasons but the one I don't like the most is his mask, The Grabber is unsettling for a villain for many reasons. His soft voice is one thing that can throw his victims off guard. He may seem nice and well-mannered but when he gets mad, it's not a good thing. The various masks he wears are also something of nightmares.

I am getting nightmares after this
That's not the only time in The Black Phone that a child victim is used for. About halfway through the film, Finney wakes up to the sound of dripping. He assumes it must be water coming in from somewhere that could help him escape.
Unfortunately, that's not water he was hearing drip. It was blood and it was coming from the suspended, floating body of Griffin. None of these kids come after Finney in a bad way but their appearances are still horrifying visual effects that will unsettle the soul.
I hated this movie and I think that Mia knew this because whenever I would jump she would laugh. Mia knows I hate horror movies but she didn't care she put it on and now I'm going to have nightmares about a scary dude who kidnaps children. Just great!
One of the scenes I don't like is when the grabber is sitting on his chair with a belt and NO SHIRT. I don't know why he took his shirt off and I think it was unnecessary because he looks weird just sitting there. What would the neighbours think of him if they saw him through the windows?
The movie wasn't finished but it was giving me anxiety. I had to take a break so I left and went outside to sit for a bit. It was the best decision because the second I opened the door cold air hit my face.
I walk over to the pool and sit on one of the lounge chairs. I laid down while closing my eyes just taking in the sounds and smells. I could hear the slight sound of the water moving and the sound of birds chirping in the distance.

"Mae?"
"Yeah?"
"I need help with this project and you passed since so can you help me?"
"Ok"
"Thank you"
"When do you want to work on it?"
"Now if that's okay"
"Yeah hold up I am just at a friend's house"
"Okay see you soon"
"bye"
"Bye Mae"

"Nice right?" Chris says making me jump a bit.
"It's just me," He says and I open my eyes to look at him. He is standing near the other lounge chair looking at the water. I was about to say something but he did first, "You don't like horror movies?" He asks looking at me while sitting down on the chair.
"Yeah, They're not my favourite," I say and he chuckles a bit making me smile.
I don't know why but when he looked up I couldn't help but stare into his eyes. I then move to his freckles and then I realize that every single time I've seen him his wearing the same necklace. I then look back at his eyes.
"Done staring?" He says with a smirk on his face making me blush. I quickly look away and put my hands over my face making Chris chuckle. I look at him and he stops laughing but he still has a smirk on his face.
"It's just you have nice eyes" I blurt out. He looks shocked which makes me giggle.

"Really because I have blue eyes and they're pretty boring" He lets out a small chuckle while looking down. I get up and move over so I'm now standing in front of him. He looks up at me with a shocked face which makes me giggle again. I sit down next to him and grab his chin so he is now looking at me.
"I love your eyes. They're just like the ocean, and they have this mysteriousness about them" I say and he lets out a sigh when I let go of his face which makes me chuckle.
"Do you like the ocean?" He asks. I just look away and focus my attention on the pool and the small ripples appearing in the water due to the wind. "Maeve?" He grabs my chin and makes me look at him.
"It reminds me o-of me..." I couldn't finish.
I couldn't speak anymore because Chris was still holding my chin and I don't know why but I couldn't pull myself away. I was so focused on his eyes that I didn't notice that he asked me another question.
"Reminds you off?" He says taking his hand off my chin and I let out a breath that I didn't even know I was holding.
I guess he heard me because he chuckled while getting up. He just stood there for a couple of seconds and then he pulled out his phone and said: "It's nearly 10" That was the only thing he said before he looked at me for a couple more seconds and then he walked back inside.
I look at the water for a little bit more until I realised that I needed to be home since Leah had something she needed to do and she wanted my help with it. I know that I told my dad that I would come home tomorrow but I know that he would hurt them if I didn't come home before 12 and I couldn't risk that.
I shoot up and ran to the door quickly opening it and running to the theatre room. Once I ran in everyone looked at me since the movie finished and they were all on their phones. I walked to the spot where my phone was and I took it without another thought and walked away.
"Mae!" Mia shouts but I ignore her. "Is everything okay?" She grabs my hand making me turn and look at her.
"Yeah, umm- sorry it's just..." I didn't even finish before Mia let go of my arm and pulled me into a hug. I was shocked but I hugged her back. She pulled away after a couple of minutes and she looked at me with a worried look. "Bye guys," I said before turning around and walking to the front door.
I walked out the door and then realised that I didn't have a car to drive back with. I called a uber and I waited about 10 minutes before the uber finally arrived. I walked to the car and the driver waved to me and I waved back.
"I'm Maeve," I say and the driver just nods which makes me a little uncomfortable since they didn't show their face and they didn't talk, But I didn't really think too much about it since I knew I was overthinking it so I pushed it to the back off my mind.
"Nice to see you again Maeve," They say and I know who it is immediately. Jaden. "Yes love it's me" He stops the car and turns around to face me while taking off his cap, He smirks at me while creasing my cheek, Fucking creep!. "What were you doing with those boys?" His face drops and I know his serious. I don't answer though I just look away.
"Let me out p-please," I say while collecting my things from the seat beside me but before I could open the door Jaden grabs my wrist and pulls me closer to him. "Let go-" I was cut off when he connects our lips while pulling me onto his lap. I try and move but he is stronger than me.
"I don't want you going over there again," He says when he pulls away.
I don't say anything I'm frozen in place but I come back to reality when I feel a hot breath near my neck. Before I could say anything he kisses my neck and the kiss slowly turns into a nibble and then the nibble turns into a bit. I try and push him away but his grip tightens on my waist so much that it might bruise.
"Sto-" I was cut off when the door opens and someone yanked Jaden off of me. I quickly catch my breath and I then turn to see who saved me and to my surprise, it's Chris with his brothers.
"Are you okay?" He asks slowly pulling me out of the car. he puts his hand on my back and helps me walk to their car where I met Nick. "Help her imma gonna help Chris," He says before walking away.
"What does Chris need help with?" I ask but he doesn't answer. "What does he need help with, Nick?!" I say slightly raising my voice. He then points over to the other side of the car. When I look I almost lose balance.
Chris and Matt are beating up Jaden. I know that it's bad that I want them to but I also don't want them to get in trouble because of me. I was about to say something but they stopped and Chris pulled Jaden's hair so Chris's face was right next to Jaden's. I saw that Chris whispered something to Jaden before kneeing him in the face and walking away with Matt.
I don't know how the fuck they got there car but my thankful
"Let's go guys" He gets in the car and I get in as well with Nick coming in after me while Chris got in on my other side. I look at Chris when he gets in and his hands are covered in blood.
"Omg"

Dream Dungeon
Welcome to the dream dungeon. Ely suddenly finds himself in a mysterious dungeon accessed only through sleeping. Many people are drawn into this dream world, confused and mystified. Those in this dungeon must kill monsters to survive; maybe even each other. Join Ely as he struggles to survive a ruthless environment. What replaces his rest is untold trauma. What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.

A Tyrant: Unshackled
A man once lived in a modern world, surrounded by the tragedy of humans, he was despaired. He did his best to ignore it. Did his best to hide in the safety of his own circumstances. But eventually the tragedy reached him. And when it did... it left a broken man, who was tired of the world and it's circumstances. He took things into his own hands. He would change the world. But this story isn't about that. For after all was done, the man dying peacefully on his own terms, he would have a new life ahead of him. Now unbound by attatchments and responsibility, in a completely new world for him to explore, he would make sure his new life didn't end up like the last one. This fiction won't be updated regularly due to my own circumstances and while I will try to update it often, I won't always be able to. That being said I hope you enjoy this little work of mine. I'm not an experienced, and don't consider myself a good author in any way. But hopefully some people will enjoy this fiction like I do writing it, regardless of that.
