- Reunion -
Those Workshop people just watched them fighting and harming each other and when Beta had no more strength to fight, they immediately marched around and then pointed their weapons to Beta with the reason that they have received the order to get rid of him.
But since they were here to get rid of him, then shouldn't be moving earlier? Why were they standing and watched them fighting with each other and waited for Beta to not be able to fight again before they acted? Were they trying to steal all their credits?
Stealing their credits and merits were one thing and they were already unforgivable. And now, they were pointing their weapons at them? Heh, these Workshop people were crossing their lines and starting to get on her nerves. Did they not know that Charlotte despised people who lived to steal others merits and credits? She also despised those who pointed their weapons at her friends.
Charlotte has been itching to fight. After watching everything, she felt her anger has been going up and down. When Beta said that he was a pitiful man and shifted all the blames on her brother, she was angry. And now that seeing Beta was all alone and realized that he has no one to blame for his misfortune made Charlotte felt sad and her anger decreased significantly. But now that these Workshop people suddenly come and tried to take all their merits and threatened them made her blood boil and even angrier than before to the point that she now felt that she could and would kill anyone who keeps messing with her.
It seemed like they really looked down upon her. Was it so hard for her to have a reunion with her friends?
"Authorities give you the order to dispose the subject experiment...then why are you pointing your weapons to us? As the victim here....I have the right to ask about it, don't you think?"
Kill with a borrowed knife(借刀殺人, jie dao sha ren), now that Charlotte thought about it, she found this idiom matched with their current situation. Someone used Beta to get rid of Bam but fortunately his attempt failed. And then here these Workshop people used them to get rid of Beta. If she could endure this one, then she must be a generous person.
But she wasn't.
And now that she was filled with anger, her fan was tainted again with fresh and red blood. The guns that the people used in order to threaten her were all broken and snapped into half. Those people lied on the ground without breathing.
She killed them.
And after she killed them, she felt that her anger had decreased a little.
She glanced at Beta. Although he had hurt her brother and herself before, he was still a pawn on this game. Now that the two of them were in the similar situation, Charlotte didn't feel any hostility towards him and perhaps sympathy. Her brother also wanted to shield him and stopped those people from disposing him. Besides, Beta played an important role for the next events. So, she should keep him alive. She had made up her mind for it.
"You said that you want to get rid of this subject experiment Beta right?" She asked and fanned herself. "Rather than disposing him, why don't you give him to me instead? I find him interesting though."

"The authority wants us to dispose him."
Charlotte, "So you disagree with me?"
"Miss, please cooperate with us."
Cooperate? Who on earth asks someone else to cooperate with them when they pointed their weapons on them?
"Then since you refuse to give him to me, I will just steal him" Charlotte said again. "That sounds easier and more convenient right?"
Without giving a moment for those people to understand what she meant, Charlotte swung her fan towards them and her fan made cuts on their throats. While her fan was doing its work, she herself used her fists to beat them up one by one.
Charlotte's actions were obvious that she was going against the said authorities. Seeing how the female black turtle made her move first, Rak also didn't even hesitate to kick one of them right on his face when he was small again while Quaetro, he burned all of them there happily. It wasn't long until Shibisu's Team joined them.
"Hatz....Shibisu? How did you get here? You were eliminated?"
"I guess there was a problem with the system so we aren't out! The hosts panicked and went to the Archimedes!"
"What?!"
One of the guards from Workshop stood up and then pointed his gun towards Sophia. Sophia bent down and closed her ears as someone shot his gun towards the one who tried to harm Sophia.
"My, my, I was going to avoid fighting if possible" the voice under the helmet said and surprised the regulars. The person who killed his own 'comrades' took off his helmet, "I might get fired for something like this. Well, I was going to leave anyway. It's been awhile, regulars."
The person who said those words were someone with yellow hair and eyes with two moles under each of his eyes. The man was none other than Lero Ro himself from the Test Floor.
After the incident in the Test Floor where the Twenty Fifth Bam and Charlotte died, Lero Ro chose to resign and leave the Test Floor. And Quant, he was also fired by Hansung Yu and ended up following Lero Ro all the way around and the two of them ended in this Workshop Battle.
"What are you doing here?"
What he was doing here, the regular asks? Well, he was there to-
"I came here to help my students, of course."
Charlotte opened her fan that was stained with blood. She remembered that Lero Ro was the teacher of Light Bearer Class. She leaned to Khun and said, "Look at you, you have such a good teacher. He comes all the way to save all of you, the light bearers. Aren't you going to thank him and cry some grateful tears?"
She was smacked by Khun.
"Speaking of the students who he wants to save, you are also his student. Then why don't you cry some grateful tears here?" Khun asked back. "Your fan is stained. Just throw it away."
"I could always clean it again. It's not like this fan is broken right?" Charlotte asked and Khun just shook his head.
Khun inwardly sighed. Now that all the dramas and everything has ended, the reunion that he waited for years had finally come.
Four years ago, in the twenty fifth floor, when he decided to leave the companion quietly with Rachel, Shibisu approached him and asked him whether this was the right thing to do or whether he was sure to leave like this or not. Khun had discovered that Rachel was the one who murdered both Bam and Charlotte and he had made up his mind to leave the companion with her.

Bam and Charlotte had left them in the final exam of the Test Floor. Altaira and Celeste had left them after they passed the Test Floor. And now, Khun was also going to leave them. Shibisu felt that his friends were slowly leaving one by one with different causes and reasons.
Khun was sure that Rachel won't be able to do it alone. Or even if she did it alone, he would not let go of the murder of his friends stay at the companion shamelessly and he would keep an eye for her. He would wait for the right timing to torment her slowly to avenge his death friends.
"How did this happen?" Shibisu asked after he sighed. "....Hey, Khun. If Rachel hadn't kill Bam and Charlotte then......if the two of them are still alive....what would have happened to us?"
".....I don't know" Khun answered.
At the time, he thought that if the two of them were still alive, then things would have been completely different and he can't imagine it. He can't describe his feelings if both Charlotte and Bam were still alive and he can't imagine the details well and perfectly.
"Although it's a dreamlike story, it honestly feels more like a dream now" Khun answered. "I guess it would feel like we had awoken from a dream....from a long, long nightmare....and we'd say something like: 'Phew! thank God it was just a dream!'. And we'd have finally returned to reality. I think that it would probably feel something like that."
If it was indeed a dream like what he said, then for these seven years all of them were stuck in the nightmare until today.
For this moment, everyone felt kind of refreshed. They felt that as if they had just wake up from their sleeps. The long nightmare had finally ended and the morning had came.
"YOU'RE BACK, TURTLE!!" Rak jumped at Bam and hugged him. He hugged him tightly so that those turtles won't be able to separate them again. It seemed like he wasn't aware that now that everything has ended peacefully, let alone separating them again, the others would celebrate this extremely good news with liquors and everything. "YOU'RE BACK! YOU REALLY ARE BACK!!"
"MR. RAK!"
"THE THREE OF US ARE FINALLY BACK AGAIN!! WAHAHAHAHA! YOU'RE MY PREY! DON'T EVER RUN AWAY FROM ME AGAIN, TURTLE!!"
"NOW, ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS TO BEAT FUG!"
"HEY, LET US JOIN TOO!"
"The strongest team has reunited" Shibisu said to Hatz who stood next to him. "They'll keep us on the toes."
Akraptor walked towards Yeon. He did notice her blank look looking at the trio who were smiling at each other and he asked, "What are you staring blankly?"
"GET LOST, LOSERS!!!"
"HEY, WE HELPED YOU MEET WITH EACH OTHER, LOSER!"
Yeon closed her eyes, "It's just....I never knew that he could smile like that."
Akraptor knew that the one who she was referring must be Bam or Viole. Back then, she was the one who disliked him the most but now, she was also the one who helped him to meet his old friends again.
"What about it? It's a nice smile" he said.
Yeon, "That's the problem."
Quaetro, "What? Are you jealous? Are you jealous?"
Perhaps if this was any other day, then Yeon would deny it with blush and argued with Quaetro. But for today, at this happy day, she was exceptionally calm.
Among all the people there who were smiling, Bam decided to turn around and to look at Charlotte. Knowing that his sister was there, he wanted to say something to her but he was taken back when he saw her smile.
Her smile that was supposed to be cheerful, innocent and bright had changed. It was replaced by something else. She did smile, except that her smile was rather a sad smile. Her smile appeared to be lovely and sweet, but in the same time bitter.
Why she was smiling like that, you ask? It was because that she knew her line. After Khun walked her to her room and thanked her for all her merits and everything, she realized her own position. She knew that even though she has been carried by her emotions and feelings again and again, by the time she revealed herself, she would be nothing more than a stranger for them.
Last night when Noah said that he would find a body that belonged to Charlotte Everest and not anyone else, she unconsciously agreed with it. Perhaps it was because deep inside, she wanted to see them as Charlotte Everest and not with someone else's identity.
Charlotte had read some stories where there were some female leads who were treated like substitute. She learnt that no one liked to be treated as if they were someone else, but she failed to feel the anger and sadness that they felt completely. Only now that she was a fake and substitute that she understood the sadness. But there was no trace of anger, because she was the one who stole this body and deceived them. The reality was both sweet and bitter.
"Are you alright, Charlotte?" Bam held her hand.
Charlotte just smiled and pulled back her hand, "I am just tired." She yawned, "Perhaps it's because that I didn't sleep well last night that I feel tired and sleepy at this moment."
"What did you do last night?" Bam asked again.
Charlotte turned her head away. If she answered it, then she would be scolded again. At this moment, silence was a best answer but Khun won't let her escape easily. He answered it on her behalf and she was lectured for a bit.
Bam was supposed to lecture her longer but remembering that this was a good day, he let her off hook this time and Charlotte sighed in relieve.
Her golden eyes noticed Sophia who was taking care of the unconscious Beta and decided to approach them. Bam knew that, but for some reasons he didn't chase her. For a moment his expression looked like he has been bothered before he lifted his head when he heard his name was called by someone and walked to talk with the others.

Some become allies while others become wet stains on the floor. I firmly believe that villains can make for some of the most endearing characters. Monsters need not be sour and droll. Have a bit of fun - indulge in a bit of villainy. Some will just have grammar and spelling corrected. Other potentially expanded. Some are simple, others a complete short story. Most are just a self-contained story.
