"The sooner we found out what's going on here, the sooner we can get out of here!" Taka exclaims. Everyone in the room glanced at him; some with uneasy expressions, others with unreadable expressions. My expression was simply one of annoyance due to the boy nuzzling my shoulder.
"Wait just a minute," Byakuya states as he adjusts the white glasses resting on his nose. "What the hell is Monokuma doing here? I won't question why he is hugging (Y/n) like that, it's obvious it's because she's a traitor of some sort."
I sent a harsh glare at Byakuya. I began opening my mouth to reply to his statement; however, Monokuma beat me to it.
"Why don't you shut your trap! Sheesh, I can't even spend time with (Y/n) without people wanting to tear us apart!" Monokuma whines, fake tears falling from his eyes.
"And I am not a traitor! This stupid teddy bear just wants to be around me for some reason!—hey! Stop playing with my hair!" I yell as I begin to try and free myself from Monokuma's grasp. Monokuma simply giggles as he swirls a piece of my (h/c) hair around his finger.
"Omg, just get off of (N/n) already!" Junko yells, stomping over to Monokuma and I. Monokuma sends Junko a harsh glare.
"What? Do you want me to leave that badly?" Monokuma questions everyone in the room, earning nods and small yelps of agreement. Monokuma gasps dramatically and lets go of me when I nod. "Ugh! (Y/n)! I feel utterly betrayed! Fine...I'll get out of your hair. Just kidding! I'm staying here with (Y/n)!"
A few groans escaped from the mouths of my peers. I roll my eyes and Monokuma laughs with a wide grin spread across his lips.
"It doesn't make much of a difference anyways! I listen to your conversations through the cameras if I wasn't here already!" Monokuma shouts. Everyone in the room stiffens for a moment, glancing over at me then back at Monokuma; soon their attention was on Junko, who had broken the silence.
"What about that Kyoko girl? The one with lavender hair?" Junko furrows her eyebrows, "she isn't here."
I glance around the room once again, looking for the lavender-haired girl. Just like Junko stated, she wasn't present. Wait...could that mean?
No, it couldn't possibly mean that she was murdered already...right?
"Has anyone seen Kyoko?" I question, nudging Monokuma with my shoulder to make him move away; the action was fruitless, for it only made the boy displeased.
Everyone in the room then shook their heads or let out small statements saying they haven't seen the girl.
"Oh my! Has a killing happened already? How unfortunate!" Monokuma laughs; it was a sudden exclamation and exclaimed into my ear, making me jump a bit. Noticing this, Monokuma sends me an innocent grin and a twitch from his little bear ears.
Just from annoyance, I lift my foot and bring it down upon Monokuma's foot, the small heel in my shoe squashing his foot. Monokuma lets out a yelp of pain and lets go of me, jumping back and gripping his foot. A triumphant smile was brought upon my lips along with a small giggle.
The other students in the room were too distracted by their panic of the idea of Kyoko already being slaughtered to notice my action.
Monokuma soon recovers from the small, yet painful, blow and marches over to me. He stands beside me, sending me a glare of annoyance; I send an innocent smile in response. The boy then suddenly grabs my arm, digging his long fingernails into my flesh.

"Violence against the headmaster is strictly prohibited, I recommend you not do that again."
After Monokuma spoke those words, he let go of my arm and simply stood beside me. A smile was plastered onto his face as though nothing had happened. I rub the injured part of my arm, gritting my teeth in pain. I turn my gaze over to the rest of the students in the room, continuing to wince.
"Dang it, Kyoko! How could you be late on the first day of school like this?!" Taka screams as he clenches his fists. "Not only is she late, but she didn't tell anyone about her absence! What a most unbecoming personality trait!"
"Wow, you're being a real jackass right now, you know that?" Junko states as she rolls her blue eyes.
"Well what do you wish for me to do?! Punctuality is everything!"
I could hear Monokuma giggle beside me before saying, "what else would you expect from the Ultimate Moral Compass?" I sigh before turning my gaze away from Monokuma and down at the injury on my arm.
"Now, I declare that the first session of Hope's Peak Academy briefing meetings has begun!" Taka shouts. A determined expression spreads across his sharp features.
I furrow my eyebrows in slight confusion, not really knowing anything about the situation at hand; maybe I should have gone exploring the school with Junko.
Sayaka, who happened to be standing a little distance away from me, notices my confusion and walks over. She spares a few nervous glares at Monokuma; Monokuma simply grins at Sayaka.
"Um, (Y/n), since you are still kind of in the dark about all of this, let me tell you what's been going on," Sayaka looks over at me, "everyone split up to explore the school, but Byakuya, Taka, and Kyoko explored on their own."
Byakuya, upon hearing his name, then clears his throat and speaks, "I wanted to try and find some sort of clue as to who is working with Monokuma, but I found no such discovery, unfortunately. That is all I have to report."
Monokuma then tilts his head, saying, "really? That's all? Wow, how boring! I expected someone like you to find some sort of secret passage—which, by the way, there isn't one—or something!"
Byakuya simply clicks his tongue, adjusting the white-framed glasses on his face. "If I had something more to say, logically, I would speak up about it."
Monokuma laughs, holding his stomach; everyone just uneasy turned their glances away from the laughing boy and back at the other students.
"As for my report, I spent some time looking around the dormitory, and I made the discovery of the century!" Taka exclaims. Everyone perked up instantly, expecting some sort of exit or something.
"There is exactly one room for each person!"
Everyone—excluding Monokuma—groans in disappointment; what a way to bring our hopes up, just to drop us back down into a pit of despair.
"Well, yeah! We all kind of figured that already," Hina sighs, shrugging her shoulders. I could hear Monokuma giggle in amusement at seeing everyone's downcast expressions.
"Each door has a nameplate and a small, pixelated version of that person. The dorms have already been assigned," I blurt, tapping my chin as I remember as I passed by each dorm room.
Monokuma then grabs my face and smooshes it, just like he did when we first interacted. I groan as Monokuma states, "you're so smart, (Y/n)!" I could hear Byakuya click his tongue; I bet he rolled his eyes as well.

"Hey, get your hands off of (N/n)!" Junko screams. She points a finger at Monokuma. Monokuma laughs in response, hugging me tightly instead. Junko crosses her arms over her chest, sending harsh glares at Monokuma.
"Everyone! Please, let's worry about Monokuma later. For now, let's talk about what we discovered," Taka proclaims. Everyone then turns their attention back to the meeting itself instead of Monokuma and I. Junko shoots Monokuma one more dirty glare before turning her head away.
"Adding onto (Y/n)'s statement, each room had a key with a keychain with our names engraved upon it," Sakura states, a serious expression present on her face.
"Chihiro and I found out that all of the rooms are, like, totally soundproof," Junko blurts. Chihiro then stammers, "so, y-your neighbor could be screaming their head off, and you wouldn't hear a thing..."
Celeste then speaks, "well, each room also comes with a private bathroom, which seems to be able to lock."
"Actually, there are only locks on the bathroom doors in the girl's dorms!" Monokuma announces, placing his hands on his hips. Everyone simply nods, making Monokuma pout and mutter, "you guys are boring."
"Alright, so they got a bunch of rooms set up for us. They're assuming we are gonna be here for a while then," Mondo mumbles as he looks off to the side.
"It's better than having nothing at all! At least we don't have to worry about surviving like a bunch of wild animals!" Taka shouts; he sure does seem to be quite energetic and loud.
"B-Besides the dorms, y-you must h-have something other t-to report, r-right Mr.Honor S-Student?" Toko stutters, clasping her hands together tightly as she gulps.
"No! For that is all for my report! Let's move onto someone else!" Taka responds, crossing his arms. Everyone looks at Taka with slight shock, expecting him to find more clues than just the dorms.
"Alright! So, me, Leon, Chihiro, and Hiro went up and down the school, checking the windows in the hallways and classrooms again; we were checking to see if we could get any of those stupid metal plates to come off," Junko says as she twirls a chunk of her hair around her finger.
"And guess what? Nothing freakin' happened! Not a damn thing!" Leon whines, his eyebrows furrowed in annoyance.
"T-There wasn't any hope of escaping anywhere," Chihiro stammers. She begins to softly cry. "The school really h-has been totally cut off."
Junko then mumbles, "this sucks. It really sucks...what the hell are we going to do?"
"Damn, calm down! You're starting to make me a little nervous," Leon chuckles, glancing at Junko with a nervous look. I could hear Monokuma let out a snicker of amusement; that damn bear.
"Alright, now it's our turn! Me, Sakura, and Mondo went together!" Hina exclaims, crossing her arms. "So, we thought maybe we could find some sort of way to communicate with the outside world, so we looked all over for something like a phone! But...we didn't find anything...sorry."
"I went back to the main hall, thinking we could do something about that hunk of metal. Sakura and me both tried to open it, but it didn't budge. We even hit it with a bunch of fucking chairs and desks and nothing happened," Mondo informs. "It was hard...like metal!"
"Well no duh, dumbass! It is metal!" Monokuma laughs, shaking my shoulder. "I can't believe how stupid some of this kids are, right (Y/n)?" I roll my eyes and respond with, "leave me alone, stupid teddy bear." After my statement, Monokuma pouts and turns his head back to the other students.
Mondo clenches his fists and glares at Monokuma with an expression of pure hatred and annoyance. Monokuma simply smirks at Mondo, sticking out his tongue in a teasing manner.
"I feel like I could cry...but I can't, I have to manage my hydration!" Hina yells as she sniffles and smacks her cheeks. "I can do this!"
Sakura glances at Hina, then back at everyone else. "I shall tell you what happened next; it has nothing to do with communication, but it is still worth talking about. In both the school and the dorm areas, there was a set of stairs that seemed to lead up to another floor. However, there were gates blocking the path to the next floor. In other words, we are only able to search the first floor."
"Monokuma, why is the other floor blocked off?" I question the boy beside me, which he turns to me with a bright smile.
"Well, everytime someone is murdered, we will hold a class trial after three people discover the body! If you all find the blackened during the class trial, then the blackened is executed and a new floor is unlocked to you all!" Monokuma shouts for everyone to hear. Everyone stiffens up at his statement, making Monokuma giggle.
Everyone was silent for a few moments before Celeste spoke up.
"Alright, I suppose we are next. Hifumi, Toko, and I traveled in a group together," Celeste states, "if I am completely honest, we didn't exactly act as one. Rather, we did nothing as one. We spent the entire period of time in the gym. We are not exactly the type to go searching around the school like a gaggle of junior detectives."
"So, you didn't even bother exploring the school?" I ask, earning a nod from Celeste.
"I-It's not like y-you're any different! Y-You spent the entire t-time in your dorm! Y-You lazy s-slut!" Toko exclaims, glaring at me with a smirk.
"Slut?" I repeat, tilting my head as I stare at her with wide eyes. I could see Monokuma glare at Toko in the corner of my eye.
"Y-You make me s-sick," Toko states, glaring at me.
"I don't even know how to react. You literally called me a pig when we first met and now you're calling me a slut? How could you talk that way to someone you don't even truly know?" I respond, staring at Toko as she glares at me.
"Everyone, everyone! Calm down. All this stress is bad for the skin," Hiro states, chuckling.
"Yeah! It's like the both of you are so close that you're now fighting like sisters!" Sayaka giggles. Toko and I simply glare at one another, each glare holding a bit of hatred and anger.
"As if! There is no way someone as magnificent as (Y/n) would be sisters with a person like Toko!" Monokuma laughs.
"W-What's that s-supposed to mean?!" Toko yells, earning a giggle from Monokuma.
"Oh, nothing~"
"Guys! Let's stop talking about nonsense and listen to Sayaka's report!" Taka shouts, gaining everyone's attention. After that, everyone shut their mouths.
"Alright, so here is my report; I went exploring around the dining hall. I found a fridge full of food and a lot of other stuff like drinks. I guess we don't have to worry about food, at least!" Sayaka says.
"You bet! There is tons of food in there! I can restock it regularly too, so no need to worry about starving to death!" Monokuma exclaims, making everyone sigh in relief. Monokuma rests his elbow back onto my shoulder, making a groan escape my lips.
"Monokuma's kind of scary," I could hear Chihiro mumble under her breath.
"What? Me? Scary? Upupupu~ As if! I am adorable!" Monokuma shouts, laughing.
"What do you mean? You're probably going to try and eat us or something!" Hina yells, eyebrows furrowed.
"Eat? What do you mean by that? What kind of eat are you referring to?" Hifumi asks, drooling; oh hell no, he's thinking dirty thoughts.
"Ew! C-Come on, man!" Hina yells, cringing in disgust.
"What the hell?! You're acting like some sort of drunk pervert!" Leon yells at Hifumi.
I look around the room and see everyone was not impressed by Hifumi's statement, even Monokuma himself. Monokuma's face held a look of disgust and concern mashed together. He shook his head and facepalmed.
"Guys, come on! Take this seriously; we are literally prisoners here! We could die any second!" Junko shouts, earning the other students' attention.
"She's right. We can't be making stupid jokes. We gotta do something-" someone then cut Mondo's sentence short.
"You all are sure spending a lot of time yelling and shouting."
Everyone turns their gaze to the person who had just entered the room.
"Do you really think you can afford to waste such time? Have none of you accepted the reality of this situation?"
"Ah, nice of you to finally join us, Kyoko," Monokuma speaks with a grin.
Kyoko simply crosses her arms and glares at Monokuma. She brushes a few strands of hair out of her face before speaking, "of course. After all, I suppose it is my duty to attend these meetings."
