"Kyoko! Where were you?! We already started the meeting without you here!" Taka yells, glaring at Kyoko sternly.
Kyoko didn't respond to Taka's outburst, not even batting an eyelash. Instead, she opens her clenched fist and drops a piece of paper onto the table. I get closer to the table, which thankfully, Monokuma stayed in the same place instead of following me.
Kyoko shoots a glare at Monokuma, I notice. I couldn't see Monokuma's reaction before someone asked, "what is this?"
I look down at the paper presented on the table; it had seemed to be a map of Hope's Peak Academy. It had the academy's logo printed at the top along with it's name in bold letters. Below that was a drawing of the layout of the prestigious school.
"It seems to be a map," Kyoko answers as she crosses her arms. "Where did you find it?" I question the lilac-haired girl.
"It doesn't matter where I found it, just look at it. The building we are currently in is structured the same way as Hope's Peak Academy," Kyoko points a gloved finger at the paper, "in terms of construction, this seems to be Hope's Peak Academy. However, it seems to have a number of strange renovations done to it. I'm not sure about all of the details yet; I could only find out about the first floor."
Behind me, I could hear Monokuma mutter something beneath his breath. I turn my head to look at him, but he was walking towards Kyoko. Kyoko sends him a harsh glare when he stands right beside her, staring down at her with a grin.
"It seems like we have a smart one here in this class! How interesting, since a handful of these students seem to be complete idiots," Monokuma giggles.
"Can you back away and leave the room? You are disturbing this meeting," Kyoko states.
"You're one to talk! You just popped in at a random time outta nowhere and joined the meeting! At least I was here since it started," Monokuma pouts and crosses his arms.
"What are you doing here, anyways? I would think you would just monitor the meeting through the camera systems."
"Well, you see, I'm just making sure little (Y/n) is okay! She keeps making new friends and stuff, but I don't want another "nearly getting punched" incident happening again!" Monokuma shouts as he wraps an arm around my shoulders. I let out an audible groan in annoyance.
Kyoko stares at me blankly for a few long seconds before speaking, "you two seem to be close; it is quite unsettling and suspicious."
"N-No! We aren't close. For some reason, he likes to hang around me or whatever! I have no relation to him at all, he just likes to act all buddy-buddy with me!" I shout in protest, earning a laugh from Monokuma.
"S-Sure! You a-are Ultimate Actress a-after all, w-who knows if you a-aren't lying?!" Toko yells as she points at me accusingly.
"(N/n) would never work with Monokuma! Shut your mouth!" Junko yells at Toko.
"H-How do you k-know for sure, y-you slut?! J-Just because you're f-friends with her doesn't mean a-anything!" Toko whines in response to Junko.

"Don't call me a slut, you bitch!" Junko stomps over to Toko, clenching her fist.
"Y-You disgust me! Y-You probably s-seduce men with y-your big boobs, s-slut!"
"How about I give you a punch in the face to knock you back into your senses instead?!"
"Ladies! Stop fighting! This is strictly forbidden at this sort of meeting!" Taka exclaims, which goes ignored by Toko and Junko; the two girls simply continue to bicker.
"Stop fighting! Please, I don't want you to get hurt over something so petty!" I yell at the two girls. Monokuma then grabs my shoulder and asks, "just let the fight happen, (Y/n)! Imagine how despair-inducing it'll be!"
The bickering continues until Byakuya speaks up, saying, "peasants are incredibly stupid. Stop fighting over something so petty and keep your filthy mouths shut." Just because of those words, Toko shut up immediately. I could have swore I heard Toko mutter a quiet, "o-of course M-Master Byakuya."
Junko simply rolled her eyes at Toko, mumbling, "what a simp."
"Alright! I'm glad the two of you stopped bickering! Let's continue on with the meeting," Taka exclaims. I could hear Monokuma sigh in disappointment about the fight ending; he probably wanted a fist fight to happen.
"S-So, does this mean we really are in Hope's Peak Academy?" Chihiro questions, a nervous expression plastered on her features.
"This is so fucking stupid. This is where the country's future hope are supposed to come and learn?!" Mondo yells, clenching his fists tightly.
"If this is really Hope's Peak, then where are all of the other students?" Hina questions, tapping a finger against her chin in wonder.
"Come on, everyone! Let's stop talking so negative..." Hiro sighs, resting his arms on his hips.
"No, no! Keep talking negative! It fills you with wonderful despair!" Monokuma yells, throwing his arms up in the air and waving them around like an excited child in a toy store. I roll my eyes, which Monokuma seems to take notice of.
Monokuma turns to me and grabs my chin, his long nails somehow not piercing through my skin. I gulp as Monokuma stares into my (e/c) eyes with his heterochromic eyes.
"And I would love to see you, (Y/n) (L/n), filled with absolute despair. Nothing else but despair. I want to see you try to cling onto every last bit of hope until you realize there is none left to hold onto, leaving you in a pit of utter despair," Monokuma mutters deeply to me, making my eyes widen. His blank eyes and creepy grin soon revert back to normal, his expression now cheerful.
He lets go of my face and turns back to the rest of the room. The others didn't even notice what just happened between Monokuma and I. I gulp and shake my head, trying not to repeat what he just said to me again.
All I could hear playing on repeat in the back of my mind was Monokuma saying, "I want to see you try to cling onto every last bit of hope until you realize there is none left to hold onto, leaving you in a pit of utter despair."

"Hey, are you okay, (Y/n)?" Hina asks me as she furrows her eyebrows in concern.
"Huh?" I mumble, not processing what she had asked at first, "o-oh! Yeah, I'm perfectly fine. Just a bit freaked out, you know?"
"Yeah, I get you. I mean, who wouldn't be totally freaked out right now? I'm definitely going to eat some donuts later to calm down," Hina states with a pout; I smile and giggle, "I'm guessing you like donuts?"
"Yeah! I love 'em! Best thing made by mankind, in my opinion. What's your favorite snack?" Hina asks, not even paying attention to the meeting at this point. I turn to her, also ignoring the meeting in the back; I'll ask Junko—if I am able—if I missed anything later.
"Hm, well, I really love (f/f)! Sometimes my mom used to get me some when I would do well in movies or shows and stuff!" I respond with a smile.
"Wait...(Y/n) (L/n)...(Y/n) (L/n)..." Hina stares at my face for a while, suddenly she snaps her fingers. "I know you! Didn't you play in that one show...I think it was called "The Fallen Sun"? I'm pretty sure, I used to watch it! You played as the main character who slayed a bunch of monsters and stuff!" Hina blurts, her eyes glinting in admiration.
"Y-Yep, that's me," I chuckle awkwardly. Hina then claps and squeals in excitement, asking, "I loved that show! I never would have thought I met the main actress in the show! No wonder why you are the Ultimate Actress, your acting was so amazing!"
"Thank you," I mumble, cheeks flushed in embarrassment. Hina then hugs me tightly, making me yelp in surprise. When she pulls away, she mutters a small apology. I simply giggle, "it's alright! I'm always happy to give a fan a hug!"
After my statement, a little "ding!" came from both Hina and I's e-Handbooks. We take them out to see our screen lit up saying, "student's report card has been updated based on your experience with them!" It then took us to the other's student report card.
On my screen, it added to Hina's report card that she enjoys donuts and dislikes calculating. On Hina's screen, it added to my report card that I enjoy (f/f) as well as added something I dislike.
"Oh, cool! I forgot to mention that when you spend time with other students, information on them update on your e-Handbook!" I hear Monokuma exclaim from over my shoulder. "Anywho, I think you should pay close attention to the meeting now, the goth girl is talkin'!"
After Monokuma went quiet again, Hina and I turned back to the meeting and listened to what Celeste was saying.
"You all remember the rules regarding nighttime, correct? That is 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. and sleeping anywhere other than the dormitory will result in punishment? I suggest that we create a rule of our own; going out at nighttime should be prohibited altogether," Celeste suggests. "This rule would create less panic about our safety at nighttime. However, unlike the other rules, you will not be punished if you do not comply. Do we agree on this rule?"
After a few statements of protest, everyone in the room agreed much to Celeste's delight.
"I am glad we are settled on that, now if you'll excuse me," Celeste states as she begins to turn towards the exit.
"Wait, where are you going?" Chihiro asks Celeste. Celeste turns back to reply, "I would like to shower before it hits nighttime and the water turns off. So goodbye." After that, Celeste exited the dining hall, moving with pure grace and elegance.
"I suppose we should call an end to today's meeting!" Taka asserts, earning nods from almost everyone. "Alright! Everyone, meet back here tomorrow morning! Have a restful sleep!"
Chihiro then starts crying, her quiet sobs echoing throughout the dining hall. "D-Do we really have to spend the night here?" she questions, wiping away her tears.
"We don't have a choice, we have to get some sleep," Junko yawns.
"Tomorrow, we should split up and explore again. It is all we can do at the moment," Sakura speaks.
"Then let's do that!" Hina exclaims, nodding.
"Then we are done for today? Great, I'm so sleepy," I mumble as I stifle a yawn, stretching my arms.
After that, everyone dispersed from the dining hall, retreating to their own rooms. Soon, I was the only one standing there along with Monokuma. I turn my head away from him, not uttering a word as I walk out of the hall.
Surprisingly, the boy didn't follow me. Instead, he simply watched me leave the hall. It was quite unsettling.
I quickly scurry to my dorm, entering my room. I lock the door behind me, ensuring no one can enter, hopefully including Monokuma. I yawn and kick off my shoes, placing them neatly beside my door. I quickly make a trip to the bathroom before heading to bed.
I sit on the bed, stretching out my tired limbs. As I do so, the monitor resting on the wall powers on, showing a video clip of Monokuma. He was sitting in a chair in front of what seemed to be a bunch of camera systems. He was holding some sort of drink, it being a juice box.
"Ahem, this is a school announcement. It is now 10 p.m. As such, it is officially nighttime. Sweet dreams everyone! Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite," Monokuma speaks before the monitor turns back off.
I sigh as I allow my body to completely collapse onto the soft bed. I rest my head on the pillow, my (h/c) hair sprawled across its surface. A yawn escapes my lips as I close my eyes. I slowly drift into a peaceful slumber, somehow managing to forget the situation I was in for a few moments.
A feeling of comfort and serenity was the last thing I could sense before I completely fell into a deep sleep.
