(Y/n)'s P.O.V.
"Good morning, everyone! It is now 7 a.m. and nighttime is officially over! Time to rise and shine!" Monokuma's voice boomed from the monitor. "Get ready for another beautiful day!"
Although awakening to the sound of Monokuma's voice wasn't ideal, it couldn't be helped. I couldn't help but want to go back to sleep, despite the fact that I should be getting up and helping the others with figuring out details about this killing game.
I groan and force myself to sit up. I hop off the bed, messily making my bed. I head to the bathroom to freshen up. Despite this being a killing game, I don't want to embarrass myself by not being presentable.
After I finish my business in the bathroom, I exit and go to the door. I unlock it, stepping outside of my dorm. Right as I step out, I bump into a familiar face.
"I'm sorry!" Sayaka exclaims, her being the person I bumped into.
"Good morning Sayaka! It's fine, I just...didn't expect you to be here," I say, chuckling awkwardly.
"Perfect timing, (Y/n)! I was actually getting ready to head out, but I wanted you to come with me so we could talk a bit," Sayaka states with a smile. Her smile was laced with sweetness and only pure kindness, which I found quite odd.
"Uh, yeah sure; we can talk. Where are you heading?" I respond, running a hand through my (h/c) hair.
"Oh...um, I was thinking...maybe there is something here I could use for self-defense?" Sayaka speaks, her smile wavering into a neutral expression.
"Self-defense?" I question her as my eyebrows furrow. Was she really that worried about the killing game? Or perhaps she will use that "self-defense" weapon for a murder? Why does she need me there?
"Well, I mean, Monokuma and whoever he is working with can just attack us at anytime. You never know," the blue-haired pop idol remarks, "I just want to be able to protect myself no matter what."
So, Sayaka wants to be able to have a weapon for self-defense against Monokuma and the mastermind behind this killing school life? If I recall, there was a display case in the gym entryway filled with all sorts of things; maybe even something for self-defense.
"Let's try the gym," I suggest, earning a diminutive nod from her.
I take the lead and begin walking to the gym, feeling confident enough to be able to travel to the gym without checking the map. On the way over to the gym, Sayaka and I pass by a few other students, muttering simple greetings.
We then finally reach the gym entryway, making me stop and turn to the display case located on the left-hand side of the room. I see what seems to be a replica sword, reaching over to graze it's cold surface. As soon as my skin comes into contact with the astonishing replica, the gold covering got all over my hand.

"Wow! It turned your hand totally gold!" Sayaka blurts beside me. "Even if it's just for self-defense, I think it's a little messy..."
"Well, it's better than absolutely nothing, right?" I utter as I glance at Sayaka with a hint of annoyance. It wasn't directed towards her, for I was simply annoyed at the brilliant gold covering my hands.
"You should take it with you! It would make your room more lively!" Sayaka exclaims with an enthusiastic smile across her features.
"I don't need it though. Do you really think I should take it?" I mumble, dusting my hands off.
"Yeah! It would look nice! Maybe you should wrap it in a newspaper or something though so you don't dirty your hands again."
I didn't even need the replica sword, but I wrapped the sword in one of the Hope's Peak Academy flags anyways. It had been decided, I will take this to my room with me.
"I don't really see anything for me to use as self-defense," Sayaka tells me with a sigh following soon after her statement.
"Well, it's not like it's something you absolutely need, right? I think you'll be fine, Sayaka!" I verbalize to Sayaka. I earned a grateful smile in response along with her saying, "that's true..." I then say, "if anything, I will try my best to protect you if that time comes!"
"Y-You would protect me?" Sayaka stammers with a blush. "T-Thank you for saying that...with your reassurance, I'm sure that I don't need a weapon after all!" She then giggles, putting me at ease.
"Alright! We can stop looking for something for self-defense now! Let's just use this time to hang out instead!" Sayaka suggests.
The rest of the time we spent together was spent talking about random things, each of us letting out a good laugh every once in a while.
That time soon came to an end when Sayaka asked me, "what is your relationship with Monokuma anyways? H-He seems to like hanging around you a lot..."
I gulp; she probably suspected us of working together or something. I then reassure her, "he just does that for some reason! I swear that we aren't working together or anything! Monokuma...he's just like that for some reason. I don't blame anyone for suspecting me of being a traitor because of his behavior..."
Sayaka then brings me into a benevolent embrace, by which I return.
"I'm sorry for asking you, (Y/n)! I swear, I do not suspect you of anything. I know you wouldn't betray us like that; you are too kind-hearted to be filled with such despair like Monokuma," Sayaka conveys to me.
I was a bit taken aback by her sweet words, but nevertheless, I replied. "Thank you so much, Sayaka. Your kind words mean a lot to me."
Sayaka and I stay in a warm embrace for a while, a comfortable silence lingering around the room. Until that silence was disrupted by a certain person.

"My, my! What's going on here? A secret romance?" Monokuma remarks, making Sayaka and myself break away from each other's embrace. The both of us glare at the boy, each glare conveying a different meaning. Sayaka's glare held annoyance and a bit of fear mixed with anger. My glare contained pure annoyance.
"Aww, did I ruin the moment?" Monokuma pouts, tapping his chin in innocence.
"Yeah! You did! We were having a good time until you showed up," I speak. I cross my arms over my chest as Monokuma steps closer to us.
The black and white-haired male looks down at me with a lopsided smile, his hand reaching up to boop my nose. "Aren't you adorable when you show negative emotions? I wonder how cute you will be with an expression of despair instead."
"Hey! Can you please leave (Y/n) alone?" Sayaka asserts.
Monokuma then turns his gaze over to the pop idol, laughing. "You think asking politely will make me leave? Oh, I'm here to stay. I'm going to monitor (Y/n) to see every second she falls deeper into a pit of despair. A simple girl like you isn't going to change anything."
I glance over at Sayaka, who seemed to be struggling to keep a calm, tough demeanor.
"Hey, just leave her alone, okay? What do you even want with me anyways? I know this has nothing to do with Sayaka, so don't be harsh to her," I say to Monokuma, regaining his attention. His heterochromic eyes stared into my (e/c) ones with substantial amusement.
"Well, I would like you to hang out with me for a while! I'm bored as hell!" Monokuma whines, holding onto my arm like a small child.
"Fine, if you'll leave everyone else alone. Sorry Sayaka, I got to go. I'll catch up with you later on, alright?"
Sayaka then nods, smiling, "alright. I'll see you again later. Bye, (Y/n). Thank you for your help." The blue-haired female then left the room.
I sigh and turn back to Monokuma, by which he was hugging my arm with a grin.
"If you want to hang out, you have to do me a favor first," I announce. "What is it?" Monokuma questions.
I use my other arm to point to the astonishing replica sword that was in the display case, it being covered by a Hope's Peak flag to keep the gold on its surface only. "I need you to carry that to my dorm for me, it's too heavy for me."
"Ah, okay then! Easy!" Monokuma shouts before letting go of my arm and dashing to the display case. He then picks up the sword, which he nearly drops immediately.
"Jesus Christ, this thing is heavy!"
"Yeah, that's why I asked you to carry it!" I giggle at Monouma's struggling form. Monokuma pouts and regains his composure, managing to carry the sword despite it's tremendous weight.
"Alright, let's go," Monokuma huffs, beginning to walk towards the door. I walk over to the door, opening it and letting him out first. I follow behind him, soon speeding up a bit to walk beside him. Despite him carrying a heavy item, he still walked quite fast.
After a while of walking and Monokuma nearly dropping the sword, we make it to my dorm room. I unlock the door and walk inside. When Monokuma bursts into the room, he plops the sword onto the table near the trash can.
"Sheesh! It's so heavy! I think the holder is what is so heavy though, but the sword has quite the weight too," Monokuma comments. "Why did I have to carry it with the flag though?"
"The gold covering on the sword is super messy, see?" I reply, lifting the flag to show that it was entirely covered with a mesmerizing gold coloring.
"Oh, I see now! That's useful to know! Anywho, we can hang out now, right?"
I sigh, responding to Monokuma. "I suppose so, you did do me a huge favor after all. Thanks for that."
"You're welcome! A prince does whatever his princess wishes, right?" Monokuma laughs.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. I'm not your princess. Anyways, what do you want to do now?" I ask.
"Hang out with you!"
"Yeah, but like, what do we do?"
"Hang out!"
"No, I'm talking about what do we do while we hang out?"
"We hang out while we hang out!"
"No! Ugh!" I groan in annoyance, which Monokuma just laughs at me. I shove him playfully and go over to my bed, sitting down upon it's soft surface. Monokuma then sits beside me, leaning his head on my shoulder.
"Hey! What are you doing?" I question his actions, a slight blush overcoming my features. In all of the movies I played in, this kind of scene only happens between friends or couples, which we are neither of the above.
"Just resting my head on your shoulder. Does that make you flustered?~" Monokuma answers with a lazy smirk upon his lips.
I groan, "no it doesn't. J-Just...don't do anything weird." Monokuma then nods.
I guess this counts as hanging out, right? As long as Monokuma doesn't do anything weird, I guess I'm okay with it.
"How long do you plan to hang out together?" I question Monokuma. He then says, "for a couple of hours."
I sigh. This is going to be a long few hours.
