Waking up to the daily morning announcement like always, I awoke from my slumber. The announcement acted as my alarm clock everyday at 7 am; without it, I would probably sleep through the whole day. Before heading to breakfast, I decided to take a shower and change my uniform. The only change of clothes were another pair of the same uniform, but I didn't mind it.
I headed over to the dining hall to get something to eat, but when I walked in I saw Taka and Mondo laughing noisily together. When I passed by them and went into the kitchen to make myself breakfast, I could overhear the two of them talking to one another.
"Ahaha! Watcha talking about bro?!" Mondo remarked.
"Bahaha, no, what are you talking about?!" Taka babbled.
They went back and forth, stating the same phrase over and over then chuckling after. I had made myself a plate of my favorite simple breakfast then went back into the dining hall, seating myself at a table where Hina and Sakura were also seated. After taking a few bites of my food, I questioned, "what's up with Mondo and Taka?"
Hina looked away from the two, answering, "I dunno...they've been like this all morning. It's kinda weird..."
"Weird?! Hell no! This ain't weird at all," Mondo yelled, clenching his hand into a tight fist.
"Forget them bro, they don't understand our manly bond. Our friendship is stronger than blood!" Taka screamed out. Mondo wrapped his arm around Taka's shoulder, commenting, "what you just said was cool as shit, bro."
The two laughed at each other as the rest of us sat there in confusion. What the hell happened to where they became best friends in the span of a day?
The rest of the time I spent in the dining hall eating, all I could hear was Mondo and Taka speaking about their newfound friendship. As soon as I finished eating my breakfast, I had cleaned up and then left the dining hall. It was an uneventful morning so far; the mornings were now boring without Junko to talk to every morning.
I went back to my dorm, sitting upon the luxurious bed and staring at the red wallpaper that coated the walls. How pitiful; I was bored and had no idea what to do. This killing game truly was pitiful. I stifled a yawn as I pondered what to do. I could talk to the others if I wished to, but who to talk to and where to start?
I sighed; this truly isn't the way for a protagonist to act, is it? I'm sure Junko wouldn't want to see me like this, would she?
"Snap outta it!" I gushed, lightly smacking my face with both hands. A smile made its way onto my face. There is no use moping around doing nothing; I should make the most out of my time while I can. I got up and made my way to the door, exiting the room.
I scanned the hallway, spotting Chihiro standing by her dorm. Deciding to give it a shot, I sauntered over to the female. "Um, good morning Chihiro."
Chihiro turned her attention to me, a small smile spreading across her features. "Oh! Um, go-good morning, (Y/n)!"

I cleared my throat a bit. "I was just wondering if perhaps you would like to hang out with me today?"
"Oh, I-I guess we could hang out together!"
My smile grew a bit larger and a small giggle escaped from my parted lips. Chihiro fiddled with her fingers, nervously glancing up at me.
Chihiro and I stood in the hallway and talked back and forth about a few different topics, learning more about one another. After spending some time with Chihiro, I felt we had grown a bit closer. Before I knew it, hours had passed by.
"Th-Thank you for spending time with me, (Y/n)! It was nice to speak with you," Chihiro stammered.
"Yeah Chihiro! I enjoyed spending time with you today."
Chihiro sheepishly smiled and clasped her hands together. "I-I guess I'll return to my dorm. Good night, (Y/n)."
"Oh, um, goodbye Chihiro!" I stammered. Chihiro glanced back at me with a smile before walking away to her dorm room. Now that I had no company, I also had decided to go back to my dorm; it was going to be nighttime anyways.
Once I had reached my dorm and was about to take a seat, an announcement rung out from the monitor.
"All students, please gather in the gym immediately!" Monokuma screamed at the camera, waving his arms around angrily. The monitor then shut off.
I sighed and walked back through the door I had just entered, making my way to the gym. When I had arrived, I saw Monokuma sulking by a wall, lightly punching it. I walked over to the closest person near me, it happening to be Taka, and asked him what was going on.
"Oh, (Y/n)! Regarding what is going on at the moment, we aren't really sure!" Taka replied.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"We aren't sure why Monokuma called us or why he is acting the way he is as of currently-"
"(Y/n)!!"
I snapped my head towards Monokuma and saw him dashing towards me, arms held out wide. I let out a small scream when he tackled me, knocking me to the ground. "Oof!" I gasped, my back hitting the hard, wooden floor. Monokuma laid atop of me, nuzzling his face into my neck.
"I missed you!!"
"Get off of me!"
Everyone in the gym glanced at us awkwardly making my face warm up in embarrassment. I felt Monokuma smirk against my neck, only fueling to the embarrassment. Monokuma moved his lips towards my ear, mumbling, "did you miss me too, (Y/n)?~"
Shaking my head, I yelped, "no! Get off!"
"H-Hey! Leave (Y/n) alone!" Hina blurted.
"Aww...fine," Monokuma grumbled, standing up. He grabbed my arm and gently picked me up from the ground. "You act like I would do something bad to her! No, no! I may be evil, but I'm not that evil! Consent is important!"
"W-What are you referring to?!" I shouted.
"Nothing!~"
"Stop going off topic just because you have a little crush on that actress over there. Tell us why you called us here," Byakuya demanded. The male was clearly annoyed by this ordeal.
"Sheesh, chill out Byakuya! I needed to provide a bit of fanservice for the fans out there~" Monokuma giggled with a wink directed towards me.

"Shut up with your useless nonsense and tell us why you asked us to meet here."
"Fine, fine! Sheesh...Byakuya is so mean..." Monokuma walked over to the stage, climbing onto it. He cleared his throat and looked down at us. A frown replaced his former smile as he began to sob a bit. "I-I've been down in the dumps the last couple of days...I think it's because of this whole boring life you guys are living...."
His tears soon dried, a happy expression making its way onto his face. "Because of that, I decided to spice things up a bit! I have found a new way to motivate you all~"
"Is it another set or videos or something?" I questioned.
"Nope haha!" Monokuma giggled. "It's different this time." Monokuma covered his mouth with his hand, smirking widely. "This time what I will use to motivate you is...embarrassing memories and/or secrets! I did a bit of investigating and dug up some of your deepest, juiciest secrets and gathered them all here today as a motive!"
Reaching into his pocket, he had pulled out a stack of envelopes with our names on them. "Inside these envelopes are those secrets! Once I had them out, feel free to take a peek inside!"
Monokuma passed out the envelopes, me being the last one to receive mine. Monokuma smirked and handed me the envelope. "For you~" Monokuma walked away, not ushering another word.
I slowly open the envelope, my hands shaking slightly. I read what was written on the paper. My body went rigid and my eyes slightly widened.
"N-No..."
"How did you find this out?!"
"No! What the hell is this?!"
Everyone started yelling at once. It all made my head hurt. I crumbled the paper and shoved it into my pocket.
"You all have 24 hours! If someone doesn't become the blackened by then...then everyone's deepest secrets will be revealed! How embarrassing! Anyways, bye-bye now!! Have fun with your new motives~"
When Monokuma left, Taka yelled, "no one will kill with these motives, right guys?!"
"Y-Yeah! Like, having these secrets revealed will totally be embarrassing but I don't think it's worth killing for..." Hina shouted.
"I have an idea; why don't we just tell our secrets now? Then there will be no reason to kill! I'll go first. My secret it-"
"S-Stop. I don't wanna hear your secret...b-besides I don't want t-to talk about my se-secret..." Toko stuttered.
"Neither do I," Celeste sighed.
"I agree. There is no need for us to share our secrets," Byakuya stated, pushing up his glasses.
"W-Well alright then...it's just a few secrets anyways, aha. I'm sure there will be no killing over it," Taka chuckles.
You would be surprised.
The monitor in the gym powered on, giving out the nighttime announcement. Everyone left for their rooms after nighttime was announced. I made my way to my dorm. Upon entrance, I locked the door and sighed. I felt so tired.
I thought back to the secret presented to me as a motive. They needed to give me a better reason to kill than that.
Hearing someone clear their throat, I looked up from the ground to see Monokuma seated on my bed. I mean, who else would it be besides him; I doubt anyone else would want to break into my room.
"Hey (Y/n)~ How do you feel about the latest motive, huh?" he questioned, patting the spot beside him as a sign for me to sit down. I hesitantly sat beside the boy and answered, "neutral. You could have given me a better reason to kill if I were to."
Monokuma whined. "Dammit! I tried so hard to collect all those secrets and so many people think it's not good enough! I had the other mastermind help me and everything. These students are so mean, am I right (Y/n)?!"
Monokuma continued rambling on and on about how hard he worked, how no one appreciated his work, and more nonsense. His speech made me feel more tired than before. A yawn escaped my lips and my eyelids felt heavy.
I continued to talk about how unappreciative these people were with my hard work. They are so mean! As I continued to talk, I felt a sudden weight on my shoulder.
"What the hell-" I had shut up once I saw that (Y/n) was asleep on my shoulder. I became flustered and my mouth went agape.
...
How cute!! Where was a camera?! If only I had a camera with me!
(Y/n) snored a bit as she slept. I smiled at the sleeping girl and wrapped my arms around her to hold her closer. I turned to the camera and stuck my tongue out, already knowing the mastermind was angry that I wasn't back yet.
I stayed like that for around ten more minutes, savoring the time I spent with the girl. She was never this relaxed around me; always keeping her guard up. If only she could truly know how much I was in love with her.
After a while, I could tell it was time for me to go. I laid (Y/n) down on the bed, covering her with the blankets and kissing her forehead. Before I left, I left her a small plush to cuddle with at night.
When I had arrived back at the mastermind's hideout, the mastermind gave me an unamused glance.
"Aww, are you jealous of me?" I joked.
"Of course not. Who do you think I am?" the mastermind sneered.
I sat down in a chair next to the mastermind, looking at all the cameras. "Are you sure giving that secret to (Y/n) was a good idea?"
"Come on; you act like I don't know what I'm doing! Trust me Monokuma, it'll turn out fine~ Besides, you know that if it came to a point where you had to expose their secrets, I wouldn't let you tell that secret. Let's just keep that specific secret between us, okay?"
"Why did you even give her that secret in the first place?"
"Ah, ya know, just to make her feel a bit of despair~"
