(Y/n)'s P.O.V.
We all exited the execution room one by one, everyone in too much shock to utter any words. I felt sick to my stomach as I proceeded forward, thinking back to the feelings of utter despair everyone experienced during Taeko's execution. Everyone gathered in the elevator, an uneasy tension remaining in the air, just like every other post-execution moment we experienced.
Slicing through the silence, Kyoko suddenly spoke up. "Celeste handed me what seemed to be the key to one of the dressing room lockers in the bathhouse."
Byakuya adjusted his glasses, a small smirk making its way to his lips. "That must be where it's hidden then. Let's all go to the bathhouse straight away."
With no disagreements from the others, a silent agreement was formed within the group. As soon as the elevator halted and opened its doors to us, we all exited in a hurried fashion. We all had walked as a group down the hall, but Kyoko disrupted that, grabbing my wrist to stop me from moving forward any further. The others continued on further without us, not even noticing our absences.
I turned to her and quirked an eyebrow in confusion. "What's up, Kyoko?"
"May I speak with you about something briefly?" Kyoko asked, her stern expression never faltering.
"Okay..."
"It's about how you were injured prior to the trial. Are you positive you do not remember a thing?"
I nodded, acting as though I still held no clue as to how I suffered such a major head injury. I noticed Kyoko's slight shift in expression; It was almost like she was questioning my answer.
"Celeste informed us what happened to you while you had passed out during the trial. She said that you had caught Hifumi killing Taka and he had attempted to kill you. Though he was unsuccessful due to the treatment of your injuries."
My eyes widened, bottom lip quivering as I staggered back a bit. "H-Hifumi...tried to kill me?"
"Yes, he did," said Kyoko.
"I can't believe it... Did she know how my injuries were treated?"
Kyoko shook her head and crossed her arms. "She claimed that she had no idea about that. Though I believe it was likely Monokuma."
My face contorted into a sour expression. "Oh, of course it was."
Kyoko paused, studying my expression. Her piercing and focused gaze made me a bit uneasy, but my act remained. After a few seconds, she began to walk once again. Her shoulder slightly brushed against mine as she walked past me, not even stopping briefly as she said, "okay. We should get a move on."
"Ah- Wait for me," I said, quickly spinning around and rushing to walk alongside Kyoko. She spared me no glance, almost ignoring my presence beside her. I gave her the same treatment, keeping my gaze ahead and only focusing on catching up with the others.

It didn't take long for us to meet back up with the others. Byakuya looked as us with a scorn, clicking his tongue upon us regrouping with them in front of the bathhouse.
"Took you long enough," he commented, clicking his tongue again.
I rolled my eyes. "Took you long enough," I repeated in a mocking tone. The action only made Byakuya more annoyed.
"Everyone, head to the dining hall. I'll go in alone and check with you later," said Kyoko, stopping any progression towards an argument between Byakuya and I.
"Hmph, why should you go alone? How do we know you won't try something and betray us?" Byakuya immediately questioned.
Kyoko crossed her arms. "Seriously? Do you think I would do that?"
"You never know at this point. There is still a risk of someone here being a spy."
Kyoko rolled her eyes at Byakuya's words. "Fine then. (Y/n), would you mind coming along with me?"
"Eh? Me?" I questioned, pointing a finger to myself as I raised an eyebrow. Kyoko nodded, confirming that she indeed wanted me to tag along.
Byakuya let out an exasperated sigh. "(Y/n) of all people? You know she-"
"Sitting here arguing will only draw more attention to us," intervened Kyoko, sparing a quick glance to the camera on the wall. A red light slowly flashed to signal that it was indeed powered on, the mastermind watching us intently on the camera system.
Byakuya took a moment to glance between me and Kyoko before replying. "Tch, fine. Do whatever you want then." With that, the blond turned his back to us and walked away to the dining hall.
"We should go too then," Sakura stated, following Byakuya's trail with Hina by her side. Hiro followed soon after those two. Finally, Kyoko and I were left alone to go to the locker room. Kyoko rushed into the bathhouse without another word, leaving me to quickly scurry into the bathhouse after her.
Kyoko wasted no time. The lavender-haired female used the key Taeko had given her to open up one of the many lockers to reveal what was inside. Much to her relief, Alter Ego was safely placed inside the metal compartment.
"Good evening! It has been a while, hasn't it?" Alter Ego spoke, a large smile spreading across the face that was coded onto the screen.
Something quite rare had occurred just then. Lips slightly curled upwards, Kyoko smiled. It was a small smile, but a smile nevertheless. I could feel the relief that radiated from her upon setting her sight upon the device. "Thank goodness..." she mumbled, a sigh of pure relief following soon after.
"I did just what Celeste had asked!" Alter Ego exclaimed happily. "I stayed quiet the entire time! Also, I have some good news! I believe I may be able to open the last set of files available on this device soon. Perhaps even by tomorrow!"
"The case is closed then: Alter Ego is safe," Kyoko typed a quick response to the program as she spoke. She remained silent after that, shutting the locker with diligence.

"Kyoko, I have a question for you if you don't mind..." I said. "What do you do when you wander off on your own?"
Kyoko's gaze hardened in distaste when she heard my question. "That is not something you need to know. Why are you asking anyways? Do you wish to get information from me?"
"No, I'm a bit worried about you is all. We always worry that something may have happened to you when you disappear out of nowhere like that."
I noticed Kyoko's expression shift to one of surprise. "Worried...about me? Don't you all just suspect me of being a mastermind's spy?"
I shake my head. "I don't. Listen, I know what it's like to feel like people are constantly suspecting you of something you are not... But I want you to know I have faith in you. I don't suspect you as a spy or anything of the sort. Perhaps you can put a bit of trust in me as well and let me know what is going on..."
Kyoko looked off to the side, hesitant to respond to me. She slowly turned her attention back to me after a small while, stepping a bit closer. "I suppose I can tell you a bit about what I have been up to and where I have been exploring." She leaned in closer, her voice barely audible as she whispered in my ear.
I can't believe she actually told me.
After we were finished up at the bathhouse, Kyoko and I headed to the dining hall to share our discovery discretely with the rest of the remaining class. Everyone was relieved with the news of Alter Ego's safety. It was rather late after all of the excitement of today, so we all collectively decided to return to our dorms for the night.
When I returned to my dorm, it was empty. There was no trace of Monokuma anywhere, so it was safe to assume he had not paid me a visit tonight. I collapsed down onto my bed, face-planting into the plush bedding. It was late and a slight weariness was beginning to draw me into a tired state, but I needed to stay up to see for myself if what Kyoko said was true.
I stayed up for a few more hours, passing the time by scribbling random doodles in my notepad or by acting out small scenes I came up with on the spot. When I was sure that no one else would be awake, I exited my dorm and made my way down the hall. I scanned the halls as I walked to assure that I would not to run into anyone who may be awake. Finally, I had made it to the stairs. I made sure to keep my footsteps light, reducing the amount of noise I made. I recited what Kyoko told me in my head as I stepped up the stairs.
In the second story boys' bathroom storage closet.
I arrived on the second floor, walking forward towards the bathrooms. I walked up to the boys' bathroom and stood before the entrance. I hesitated to reach for the handle for a moment; after all, I was about to enter the opposite gender's restroom. Taking in a deep breath, I pulled open the door and rushed inside before anyone might see me.
The bathroom was a rather horrific colour scheme. Everything was neon, practically blinding me when it was paired with the bright white lights that were installed in the ceiling. The walls were tiled neon green while the bathroom stalls were painted a neon blue. I blinked a few times to adjust my eyes to the brightly coloured room before continuing forward.
Just like Kyoko said, I went to the storage closet in the very back of the room. I opened the door and walked inside. The small closet was littered with cleaning supplies everywhere. Wasting no time, I began searching around for something of importance. I searched through buckets, cleaning chemicals, mops, brooms, and more, but found nothing.
"Wait a moment," I mumbled, running my hands along the green tile wall. If this were like some of the mystery movies I casted in, there must be a fake wall somewhere-
Ah, found it.
The false wall located in the back turned slowly, the sound of a latch clicking open making a rather loud noise that echoed against the tile walls of the bathroom. Before me, a small, shabby office room was revealed to me. Pipes were installed all around the room and trash was sprawled everywhere around the floor. Even without proper lighting, you could see the dust floating in the air around me. There was a large bookshelf (which seemed to contain many files) was stationed in the back of the room against the wall, an old desk table placed in front of it.
It was just like Kyoko had said.
"Hmm, what a mess," I spoke aloud to no one in particular, kicking a few forgotten papers that were left on the ground. I frowned and turned back, exiting the closet and shutting it behind me. I had not even bothered to clean up the mess I made while searching the room. When I went to exit, I peeked out for just a moment to make sure the coast was clear, only exiting when I saw that the hall was empty.
I stayed in place for a moment, lingering in front of the boys' restroom. Kyoko had discovered a room full of valuable information it seems... How interesting.
I glanced up at the camera placed at the end of the hall. The red blinking light almost seemed to be teasing me, a constant reminder that the mastermind was always watching. My eyes quickly darted from the bathroom then back to the camera before I began walking towards the stairs.
I wonder how long it'll be until the mastermind finds out about that room.
