"Meredith!" Derek's voice was heard as Meredith was signing some papers in her office
"Derek, what's wrong?" She asked
"I was paged, can you get the kids? I'll be home late, you don't have to wait for me" Derek said and quickly kissed Meredith's lips before he ran out of the office and made his way to the OR
"Bye" She whispered as he had already left. She took a look at her watch to check the time and saw she's supposed to leave soon to go grab the kids.
Meredith finished the paperwork and quickly changed into her street clothes before she left the office and made her way towards the exit of the hospital
"Mer!" Alex yelled her name
Meredith turned around and gave him a smile "Hi!" She said
"Hey, wanna scrub in with me?" Alex asked her
"I would love to but I have to go get the kids. Next time" She said as she started walking again
"Wasn't Shep gonna get them?" Alex asked
"Yeah, well he's been pulled in for an emergency surgery and the kids will need to do their homework and Ellis will need her nap and-"
"Mer, calm down. Take a deep breath" Alex said as he stopped her and laid his hands on her shoulders
"Oh- I.. I'm sorry" She sighed
"Hey, go get the kids and relax a bit" Ales smiled at her
"I'll try but Bailey had this project- I will" She assured him
"Go" Alex laughed and saw Meredith running off towards the exit
Meredith first drove to get Ellis at her school where she got the extra care she needed. Ellis suffered from perinatal asphyxia because Meredith had a placental abruption, luckily for them she was working when it happened so they were on time to save Ellis.

"Hey, baby girl" Meredith said as she picked up her 5 year old daughter who looks way younger. "Did you have fun today?"
The little girl nodded her head and laid her head down in the crook of Meredith's neck
"Zo? Bay?" Ellis asked, referring to her older siblings
"We're gonna go pick them up from school but first say bye to Miss. Heleen, will you?" Meredith asked the little girl
"B-ye" Ellis waved goodbye and Meredith placed her on the ground again. "Now let's go grab your stuff, sweetie" Meredith said, grabbing the tiny girl's hand and slowly making their way to grab her coat and small backpack
Meredith buckled the girl in the car and made their way to Zola and Bailey's school and picked them up
"Mommy, can we have hot dogs for dinner?" Bailey asked her
"Hotdogs?" Meredith questioned, realising she had to prep some dinner for the kids because Derek would be home when the kids were already asleep
"Hotdogs!" Zola yelled
"Yaa!" Ellis agreed
"Then hotdogs it is" Meedith laughed as she continued the drive to their house. When they were on the ferryboat they got out and made their way to the deck. This was their daily routine. They would talk about how everyone's day went before heading home to continue their routine.
When they got Ellis, everything became a routine. She was a very fuzzy baby and they had to plan every minute of rest, as she became older, the amount of therapies, extra hours of help, hours of PT, massages to help her muscles, doctors visits,.. it never stopped
"Da-dy? H-ome?" Ellis asked while sitting on Meredith's lap
"Daddy won't be home before you guys are asleep but he'll come give you a night kiss when he comes home so we'll have some time for ourselves tonight, is that okay?" Meredith asked but the three kids agreed.

Overall the kids were easy going and well behaved. Zola was too mature and smart for her age and always took care of her siblings, Bailey was always with his head in the clouds but always wanted to take care of the girls.
And Ellis is always very joyful and loves to hum with the music while spending as much time as possible with her parents and siblings.
Meredith helped the kids back in the car and drove home. When she parked the car, she helped the kids out of the car and opened the front door.
"Zola, Bailey can you finish your homework first?" Meredith asked
"Yes, mom" They both replied and sat down on the kitchen table
"Come on, Ellis. Let's work on your homework too" Meredith said trying to include Ellis' tasks and exercises as homework so she wouldn't feel left outside
"Yaa!" She said and quickly but uncareful ran towards the kitchen and had some difficulties climbing the chair. That's when Bailey got off his chair and helped his tiny sister on her chair "Here you go, Ellie" He smiled before going back to his own seat.
Meredith was watching them from the doorway, giving her some time to figure it out but of course her big brother rushed to help her
"-Anks Bay" Ellis said as she sat down, fidgeting with some markers as she was waiting for Meredith "M-ommy!" She yelled
"I'm here, sweetie" Meredith laughed and sat down next to Ellis "Zo, Bails, how's it going?" She asked before starting off with Ellis
"I'm fine mom" Zola smiled
"I'm so good at this" Bailey said as he kept writing stuff down which made Meredith chuckle a bit
"Okay, Ellie. Now let's practice your words again" Meredith smiled and grabbed the list with all kinds of objects. Easy ones like a car, a doll, glasses until harder words like hospital, bicycle, pyjamas.
Ellis started to get a bit fuzzy and Meredith knew she needed a nap after this and decided to cut today short as Bailey and Zola also finished earlier
"Maaa! B-ed!" Me B-ed!" Ellis yelled
"Yes, Ellis. I'm gonna bring you to bed" Meredith smiled. She was happy that her daughter was so easy going for her naps
"See you later, Ellie" Zola said as she hugged her sister
"Can I come with you?" Bailey asked his mother.
Lately he had always asked to bring Ellis to bed and tell her a story, most of the time, Zola joined them in the evening or they would all fall asleep in their parents' big bed
Once Meredith got Ellis to sleep, she and Bailey headed downstairs. She checked on their homework and started prepping the hotdogs with a bit help of Zola

Also, there has been a lot of changes so you won't be able to continue with the other where this one left off. A soldier dies on a battlefield, his body broken but his mind at peace. He died for the only thing he truly cared about, his family. In a different world a talented mage completes his life’s work, an entire rebuilding of one of the greatest ancient spells, resurrection. Bypassing the stringent requirements, he attempts to make this great magic accessible to the masses, and by doing so earn his place in history. But lost to the passage of time is the reason for these requirements. Not to unnecessarily complicate this great magic, but to ensure the transfer of only mortal souls. For there are things that dwell in the realm of the dead that should never be allowed to cross over.

What seperates beasts from men isn't the language we speak or any such drivel taught to us in school. It isn't the way we walk or our intelligence that sets us apart. Some would have you believe that it is our ability to think and reason that makes us fundamentally different from the creatures that inhabit the world. That way of thinking, my friends, is entirely wrong. What seperates us from them and them from each other, is simply the skin that we all wear
