"Ellie, please.. Stay with me" Meredith begged as she tried to follow Ellis while carrying their luggage
"Un-cle -Lex!" Ellis yelled and wheeled over to where Alex was waiting for them
"Hi" He smiled as Ellis stopped in front of him
"H-i" Ellis smiled back "Momm-y, hi" She giggled
"Hi, Alex! Thanks for doing this" Meredith pulled her friend in a tight hug
"No problem! Give me some bags" He offered "Ellie, what do you think of us stopping at TacoBell?"
"Yaa! M-omm-y, c-an?" She asked with wide eyes
"Of course we can. Dad's in New York, I wouldn't know who's holding us back" Meredith smiled
"B-urg-rr" Ellis smiled
"No hamburgers today, we're going to TacoBell" Alex said and helped to buckle in Ellis
"S-lee-p!" Ellis whined
"Hey, are you tired? We're going home soon. Just picking up some food" Meredith said and looked at her slightly upset daughter
"Noooo!" Ellis yelled
"I'm sorry, she's just tired. It was a long flight and leaving Derek and Bail-" Meredith started to ramble but Alex interrupted her
"Hey, it's okay. We're going to pick up some food now and then we'll drive to your house so she can sleep" Alex smiled
"Nooooo" Ellis whined again
"Let her. She's exhausted" Alex said as he noticed Meredith's frown
Meredith nodded and decided to text Derek to tell them they landed
They got their food and Alex drove them to their house
"Let me" Alex said as Meredith started to unload the trunk
"Can I put Ellis in bed first?" Meredith asked
"Of course" Alex laughed
"Okay, baby. Time for bed" Meredith smiled and grabbed Ellie's bag
"D-addy!" She yelled
"Dad's in New York, sweetie" Meredith sighed
"C-all!" Ellis stated
"You wanna call daddy? Let's see if he picks up" Meredith said to sooth her daughter and started calling Derek

"Hi, is everything alright?" He asked as he picked up
"We're fine. I'll put you on speaker, Ellie wanted to talk to you" Meredith said
"Hi baby" Derek said
"D-aaadddyyy" She moaned
"Hi! How was the flight?"
"Kay" She giggled
"Aren't you super tired now?" Derek asked
"B-ed! M-e b-ed!" Ellis told Derek
"Oh and you wanted to hear me first? What would you think if I put Bailey on the phone?" Derek asked
"Bayyy" Ellis giggled
Derek put his phone on speaker and soon enough, Bailey started talking to his sister. Ellis explained the whole plane ride until she started yawning
"Okay, baby. I think it's time to bring you to bed" Meredith laughed
"Nooo! H-ug d-addy!" She said as her lower lip started trembling
"I'll give you a virtual hug. I want you to be nice to mommy, Ellis. Go to bed, we can facetime afterwards" Derek told his daughter
"M-e n-nice! Al-ways!" Ellis stated
"So, be a good girl now too and go to bed, will you?" Derek asked
"Kay" She sighed which made Derek and Bailey chuckle in response
"Come on, Ellis. Say bye to daddy and Bailey" Meredith smiled
"B-ye" Ellis giggled as Meredith ticked her a bit when she didn't hurry
Weeks went by. Derek was still in New York with Bailey, Zola had returned back to work and Meredith was home in Seattle with Ellis
"Ellie, please stop that" Alex could hear Meredith as he entered the house
"B-Bayyy!" Ellis screamed
"We'll call Bailey and dad in a bit, Ellie. First you need to shower" Meredith tried to calm Ellis down
"N-o!"
"Yes, Ellis" Meredith said sternly
"N-o s-ss-shower"
"Then we'll talk a bath, sweetie but you need to get cleaned" Meredith tried to explain
"Ya!" Ellis agreed

Meredith let water run in the tub as she helped undress Ellis
"We have to do your homework after we called daddy" Meredith said sternly
"Now!" Ellis frowned
"No Ellis, we have to finish your bad first" Meredith argued
Ellis started pouting but Meredith quickly finished washing her daughter
"Mer?" Alex yelled
"Be there in a bit" Meredith yelled back and helped Ellis out of the tub and started dressing her daughter. Once she was finished, she went downstairs with Ellis
"U-cle -lex! Ellis giggled
"Hi munchkin" Alex hugged Ellis
"M-ommy call D-addy" Ellis whined
"I'll get the Ipad" Meredith sighed
Alex noticed the exhausted form of his best friend and started to get concerned. She clearly lost a couple of pounds
"Here, let's set up the Ipad" Meredith smiled and mouthed a sorry to Alex
"I'm gonna get you some drinks and food" Alex announced and disappeared to the kitchen
"Hi D-addy!" Ellis giggled
"Hi lovebug!" Derek waved "Hi Mer"
"Hi" Meredith smiled "Hi Bails"
"Bayyy" Ellis moaned
"Hi little sis" Bailey smiled
"How is your mom?" Meredith asked as Ellis ran to her room to get something to show Derek
"She's doing very good. Next week is her last chemo before the scans" Derek said hopefully
Meredith nodded
"The doctors have good hope, Mer" Derek told her
Meredith nodded again. She didn't notice that Alex was now listening too
"Maybe you and Ellis can fly over?" Derek asked
"Derek, I don't know if she wants this-" Meredith started
"Mer, I miss my daughter" Derek said
"And I miss my husband and son but flying all by myself with-" Meredith explained but Ellis ran in
"D-addy, see!" Ellis showed her new sweater
"Oh, princess! It's beautiful" Derek smiled
Meredith was lost in thoughts, she felt bad "I'm going to the bathroom" Meredith said and walked away from the screen, followed by Alex who pulled her to the side and saw her crying
"Alex.." She whispered
Alex opened his arms and pulled her in his embrace. He kissed her temple and let her cry on his shoulder before she composed herself and went back into the room
"Were you crying?" Derek asked concerned as he saw his wife's red eyes
"No" She quickly said
"M-omm-y?" Ellis gasped and turned around "K-ay? M-omm-y kay?" Ellis looked at Meredith with big eyes
"I'm okay" Meredith whispered and faked a smile
"M-M-Mo-mommyyy?" Ellis started to whale
"Shh, I promise that I'm okay" Meredith said
"D-dd.." Ellis struggled "aadd-"
"I know. Daddy didn't mean it, baby" Meredith tried to make Ellis stop but it started to get worse. She was clearly overstretching her body and started to zone out
"Derek, she's having a seizure" Meredith said and quickly held her daughter in her arms
"Is she okay?" Derek asked
"Hey, Ellie, daddy and I are here" Bailey tried
"She'll be okay, Bails. I'll end the call" Meredith said
"Love you" Derek quickly said before the call ended
"Should I bring her upstairs?" Alex asked as she seemed to be responsive again
"Ellie, wanna go rest a little?" Meredith slowly asked
"M.. K-Ka-k-ay" Ellis weakly muttered
Alex wanted to scoop her up but Ellis protested
"M-Moooo" She moaned
"I'll grab you" Meredith said and had to put everything she had to carry her now young daughter to her own room as Ellis had gotten bigger in the past years. But she did, she carried Ellis to her room and laid her down in the bed before grabbing the teddy and stuffing it between Ellis and the blanket before tucking in her daughter
"I'll check on you later. Just rest a bit" Meredith kissed Ellis' head
Meredith returned to the living room and started cleaning up the mess that was made
"Mer, stop" Alex said and held her from moving "Sit down and drink this" Alex handed her a cup of tea "You can't keep doing this" He firmly said
"I have the time off but Bailey called me in last night and I'm just.. I just need a couple hours of sleep" Meredith protested

Cultivation Anomaly
Follow the journey of an individual given a classic cheat trope in a cultivation world. What does a man do when he finds himself unsure of who he really is yet is given a cheat? What really happens to a cultivation world when it is overrun by MC level characters? Is the cultivation world just run by cruel young masters, short-sighted elders and uncaring experts? Note: Tags may be removed or added to this story as it progresses. For example, I added the harem tag because I wasn't sure if it would appear so be forewarn. Also, productive feedback is always appreciated even it may be ignored. Note 2: Original idea inspired by "Arrogant Young Master Template A Variation 4". I wanted to do something similar but have a more gritty realistic feel. The system SHOULD differentiate as the story goes on but if it doesn't it means I need a rewrite. Either way, read AYMTV4, it's great. Note 3: If you give criticism to be helpful, please try to be descriptive, specific, and focused on making my story better, not changing the story to how you would write it. Go to the link below if you want more specifics. https://youtu.be/-6HOdHEeosc?t=3240

I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)
