《The ThickGirl and The Badboy》Chapter 4: Busy

I dreaded days like these, where my body feels so sore, that I can't even walk.
I stayed at the gym yesterday, all day.
Practically doing an all body workout, getting my anger out, for who knows what.
Once my feet touched my soft, pink, carpet floor, I flinched.
Shet, my legs are so fucking sore.
'Just suck it up' I told myself. This is a reward.
I sighed and went to my restroom. Eye bags under my eyes. I didn't even bother to cover them, I mean I've got Cross Country practice after school, for crying out loud, the makeup is gonna fall even if I use the Urban Decay or MAC setting spray. I washed my face, moisturized, brushed, flossed, and pee'd .
"Oh my gosh." I said as I realized my walk-in closet was a mess, clothes were scattered everywhere. Shoes were dislocated. Shirts falling off the hangers.
"Well, looks like I wasted my weekend then."
Since I couldn't find anything pleasing, I settled for a T-shirt, some torn boyfriend jeans & my converse. My hair styled like always; Straight, shiny and sleek.
"Now this is going to be a reward for my activeness yesterday," I said to myself getting breakfast.
Bacon, eggs, sausage, and chocolate chip pancakes. Normally it'd be too much for me, but since I burned alot of calories yesterday, I needed the muscle back.
"Koleen why are you eating your father's sausages?" My mother replied rudely.
"Dad won't mind," I said giving her my sweetest smile. She scowled, got her lunch and left out the door, without even saying a goodbye or I love you.

What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction was being sung by Crystal, and I as we headed to our group of friends in lunch.
"Gosh, y'all have horrible voices." One of our friends ,Tina, claimed laughing.
"Hey, we have confidence!" Crystal exclaimed.
"Yeah we do!" I joined her, but meaning it sarcastically.
"Stop doing that, you're giving us attention," Another friend, Amber, replied looking at all the people around us giving us glances.
We laughed, then settled down.
"So guys, whats the gossip? Monday morning, you know..."
"Alysson, its Monday what do you expect?"
I swear Alysson is such nosy for gossip.
"Ooh! There's a party this Saturday!" Crystal said excitedly.
"Omg I know! Justin Blake throws the most amazing party's!! Ooh and I heard he's good in bed too. ." Tina said smirking.
"So who's going?" Amber asked. We all raised our hands, but all eyes stopped on me.
"THE Koleen Pares is going to an actual party?" Crystal said fake gasping.
"Yeah, I thought you said you were too good for them." Alysson said glaring at me. I scowled.

"Well someone obviously invited me." I rolled my eyes.
"WHO?!" All girls said in a chorus. I smirked.
"Older guy named Jaxon."
Alysson gasped.
"The Hot Jaxon Travis?"
"Uh, im not sure what his last name is."
"Light brown hair, dazzling green eyes, gorgeous body. Graduated last year."
"Yup, um. that pretty much sounds like him."
"HE'S HOT!"
"Yeah, totes." Amber replied.
"Wait," Crystal said. "He still talks to you?"
"Why wouldn't he?"
"Well his little friend tried getting it with me on our first date. That disgusting bastard."
"Oh, sorry Cryst. I knew how much interest you took in him."
"Hey, he was a huge prick, I'm glad i kicked him in the balls."
We all laughed.
"I'm sure you did." I said still laughing. "Now, I'm gonna go get more water bottles to stay hydrated." I got off my seat, and headed over to the vending machine, only to find two people eating each others faces in-between.
"Ew, 'c'mon guys go get yourselves a room there's people actually eating a few steps away." I said throwing them a disgusted look. They both pulled away at the sound of my voice.
"Hey ThunderThighs, if youre jelous all you gotta do is ask, trust me, I'll do more than just make out." Bryce said smirking, and winking his hair all messy and his face flushed. As for the girl she just glared at me, pulling onto Bryce's shirt for attention. Gods she looks pathetic.
"Ew no.Get a room, I'm trying to buy water here."
"You know the key here is to buy one, and then kick it uncontrollably 'till they all fall out." He said doing it himself, and sure it enough it worked.
"Brycy, " the girl whimpered. "Lets go find a room to find some privacy so OTHERS," she spat, "Won't interrupt us." She said grabbing his arm. I don't know what her problem was I don't even find any interest in him.
"Sorry baby girl, we'll just have finish it later." He winked. She scowled and left 'accidentally' bumping into me 'harshly'.
"That's disgusting." I said grabbing my water bottles.
"Jealous?" He wiggled his eyebrows at me.
"As if , Brycy. " I mocked him, trying to get a hold of my water bottles. I only wanted two for crying out loud!
"What's all the water bottles for? "
"Nothing of your concern, Brycy."
He chuckled. "It's Bryson, in case you didn't know."
"Why would I?"
"I know everybody talks about me, specifically the girls."
I scoff walking away, "I didn't even know you existed before you crashed into me."
He stopped in front of me, blocking my way, "You bumped into me. Remember short stuff?"

"I did not." Although deep down, I knew I did because I was the one who wasn't looking while flicking Sean off.
"Keep telling yourself that. " He says finally walking off.
"Damn, hey can I have one?" Asked a girl gesturing to the water bottles I was carrying.
I gave her most of it, and walked away before she protested.

"Leeny!"
I turned around towards my name, only to find Crystal trudging towards me.
"What's up?" I said waiting for her.
"We need to go dress shopping sometime, like now."
"But it's only Monday?"
"So?"
" I've got cross country right now. I only got three minutes to change and get ready."
"What time does it end?"
"Six."
"WHAT?! ugh fine, go to your event. Wouldn't want to be a bad friend and hold you back."
"Okay, talk to you later." I waved goodbye and peered at my watch, only to see I had exactly two minutes.
"FUCK!" I said sprinting towards the gym.
....................
"Ok girls, we're going to run 6 miles approximately-"
"But coach, that would mean we'd get out later like at 6:30 with our stretching and running." A girl complained.
"So? This is a big meet this week, Westport is gonna be there, and not only do we need to run faster, but we need to pace, and run more distance." Coach Till replied irritated.
Westport was our biggest rival, they beat us to first place in district last year, and this year we're determined to not only beat them, but the whole district.
They just come first on the list.
"Yes Coach."
'Ok, get started, stretch."
We started our legs stretch, then we got ready to run and took off. The best part about this is that we all run together, you're either ahead or with the team, no one gets left behind, but if you are behind , then someone may run with you so you won't feel useless.
As for me, I was with the team, I planned to stay with them, until the last three miles, then I'll go at a faster pace.
The boys are usually with us, I mean we're all together, but today they're doing sprints, though I don't know why it's not even track.
Our breathing's were going heavier.
My legs were forming into bricks, but I took big strides to help.
We'd past the elementary schools, and the fire station, I'm guessing the coach planned it since I have no idea where we were going.
Ok, on second thought I'll stay with the team.
Suddenly we were going through green, big trees, and dirt road.
Oh shit, we were gonna go through the baseball field, which is loaded with boys.
Our steps kept the pace, we were getting closer. I could see tiny heads of the boys. There were dozen, some just hanging out even.
The field was filled with whistles and eyes all on us, checking us out.
"Yeah baby! Go! I like it fast! speed it up!" One guy said. They were so immature.
Im sure Coach Till will do something tomorrow, but for now we need to focus on this.
I suddenly heard a gasp, I turned around and saw a girl, probably a freshman, clutching her stomach.
Side cramps? I guessed.
No one stopped, or probably even noticed because of all the intimidating eyes.
So I did.
I stopped in my tracks and jogged over to her.
"Hey, whats wrong?" I asked, putting my hand on her shoulder for assistance.
Some guys were muttering things but I ignored them.
"M-my side, it hurts. Bad. I can't do it any longer."
The team was already ahead, a few more steps and they'd disappear.
"Hey, it's fine. We've all gone through it. Just keep pushing untill it goes away.."
She shook her head. "Just go on without me."
"We're a team, although we are individual runners, we are still a team. Dont give up. C'mon, lets at least jog slowly so we won't get left behind, plus it'll help a little."
"Awww." Some boys butted in. I rolled my eyes.
The girls shook her head, and got up.
"Hey! ThunderThighs what are you doing here?"
Oh great. Jog! Jog!
"Don't you run away from me!"
Laughter echoed.
Shit, why me?
"Why'd call her thunder thighs Anders?" One guy asked.
"Well look at them." Bryce nudged the guy, nodding towards my legs.
"Definitely. Hey, once your done, I'd like a try." He said checking me out.
"As if I'd get with any of you losers! " I snapped disgusted.
"You don't have to, you'd just fall for it." He said winking.
I didn't even know what I was doing, but my legs and arms had a mind of its own, and were climbing the fence that separated us, and went over to the guy then kicked him in his crotch. Really hard.
He fell down to the ground clutching and whimpering, I even saw a little tear come down.
"I hope you don't have kids, cause I'd hate for you to have children and them have a dad like you." I spat. There were all ooh's and some even got out of my way.
That's right. Don't mess with me pricks.
I suddenly realized why I was here for.
"SHIT! c'mon girl we gotta go." I said running but then jogging realizing the girl can't run. The team was no where in sight.

Dear Spellbook (Rewrite)
Live. Study. Repeat. Tal never saw himself as an adventurer, but the call to adventure never much cared for his opinion. Despite his best efforts, his search for answers on the murder of his parents ever draws him into danger. Accompanied by a group of seasoned warriors, thus far Tal has gotten by on his own meager magical talents, but when one day he wakes up to find himself back in his bed of the night before, he is faced with a challenge he must conquer alone. What to expect: This story was born of an attempt to create in world lore reasons for many of the mechanics and tropes of D&D, but you do not need to know of them to enjoy the story. It's a single POV time loop story with slow paced progression fantasy elements. The story is not one of fast-paced power ups and non-stop action, but as it progresses, the action picks up. There is a lot of magic system exploration on a system built to unify the diverse magic of D&D into one cohesive magic system. The setting is an original world with familiar races and monsters but with new unique origins and motivations. The average chapter will be 2-5k words long, most being around 3k but there are a few less than 1k, due to the nature of the story telling device I used. Book 1 is complete. Posting is on hold until I finish book 2. Book 2 progress: The rough draft is done at 141656 words as of 7/9/2022. I need to reread and edit it but Im aiming for resuming chapters in September.
