《The ThickGirl and The Badboy》Chapter 47: Picnic.

The scorching sun, and irritating pesky bugs did not suit my comfort to be in the park. It was sweet of him to suggest something other than just dinner and movies, but looking cute in nature was not possible.
My denim skirt kept rising up as I took cautious steps into the grassy floor, my floral pink cropped tank stuck onto my skin making me feel self conscious.
The thing is, even though I didn't like my body, I still tried to find ways to accept myself. If I'm bold enough I'll wear tight clothing to get me used to seeing what I have, instead of wanting something else.
Today I was feeling bold, if I wanted this relationship to work I needed to accept myself as soon as possible before I became an insecure freak to him.
"Did you have to choose today for our date?" I asked him trying to catch up.
"Yes, Sunday will be at sixty degrees. Figured you'd want it to be a sunny day."
I nodded my head in agreement, the weather can be so bipolar sometimes.
"So where are we going to sit?" I ask clutching the small cooler I brought filled with strawberry smoothies and water.
"By that tree up ahead, it has good shading."
Secretly I was excited, I didn't see him as a picnic type of guy, then again he didn't seem like the boyfriend type but here we are.
I've never even been in a picnic and the fact that he suggested it was super cute of him.
"Oh good because this cooler is getting annoying to carry."
My face was sweaty which meant the little makeup I had on was sliding off. Luckily I carried spraying mist with me so it'll help hydrate.
"You can set it down for now while I lay the blanket."

I placed it on the grass while starring at Bryson with wide eyes. "Is that real Burberry?"
He shrugs, "Yeah."
"Why are you laying it on the grass? It's gonna get dirty and I bet it was so expensive!"
"It's old. It doesn't matter."
I rolled my eyes, of course he doesn't care. It is his blanket, his expensive Burberry one. I guess I had no choice but to sit on it.
"If you say so. I can't believe you brought this instead of a towel or something." I say sitting down on it once it was placed.
"I think it's perfect for this occasion, plus like I said it is old."
"Right, because you're filthy rich." I laugh.
I adjusted my skirt which I regretted wearing, and sat with my shaved legs in front of me leaning back.
The warmth from the sun made me happy as I finally felt not so sweaty or hot.
"You should sit on my lap." Bryson demanded.
I looked at him blushing and taken back, I've never sat on a guy's lap before.
What if he had a boner and I'd feel it under me ?
Goshhhh that would be sooo embarrassing.
"No I'm fine here." I murmur, scooting away from him a little.
He sighed, "Come on, please?"
I shook my head no.
I know we kissed before which is way more advanced than just sitting on him, but what if I was too heavy?
He's lean and muscular yeah, but I have no idea how much he benches.
Before I knew what he was doing, he got a hold of me and sat me on him.
I felt uncomfortable. Very, uncomfortable .
Mostly because of my skirt, and mostly because he was way too close for comfort.

I needed my space. Personal, space.
"Why are you so tensed Thunderthighs? Relax." He whispers in my ear making me shiver.
I didn't like being this close to him, it made me feel vulnerable.
"Let's just eat." I say reaching for the picnic basket, ignoring his close presence.
Taking out the plates first, I handed one to him, then got one for myself.
I packed the actual food and smoothies, while he brought dessert and water.
"Did you make this?" He asks eating another fork full of pasta.
"Yeah."
"It's actually good, when you first mentioned zucchini pasta I thought it was gonna be fucking disgusting."
I laugh, "So when you said it sounds good, you literally meant that it sounds like shit."
"Basically." He bluntly says.
I scoff and gently smack his hand.
Not everything I liked was gross. My food choices were good.
After eating two servings of it, I leaned back against Bryson clutching my stomach.
"Don't tell me you're full now, what about dessert?" He asks poking my stomach.
I shrug him off, "Maybe later, if I eat anything else I'll burst."
He chuckles finishing off his third serving, then also leaning against the tree while playing with my hair.
I felt hot with my hair down, but I liked him touching my hair. It was soothing and relaxing.
I'm not gonna lie, it felt odd sitting here with him. I mean who would've thought I'd be here? With him? With his annoying ass from before I would've been shook if someone were to tell me we'd go on a romantic picnic. He didn't seem like the romantic type, but it was cute.
It felt odd having an effect on him, because I thought the only effect I'd have on guys is with my body, not me as an actual person.
But looking back at the times he was sweet like asking me to homecoming on my cross country meet, giving me a rose, and dancing with me.. I don't know, but I'm sure as hell he wouldn't do that to other chicks.
I felt his chest rise up and down, the proximity of his chest against my back made me feel all gushy inside. This wasn't exactly cuddling, but having someone's warm presence feels reassuring and giddy for me at the moment.
I liked him, and he liked me.
It was weird because I thought I'd have a boyfriend in college, not in high school, but I was always a sucker for cliché high school romance, so I was happy.
I couldn't wait to see him at his baseball games with his uniform on.
Who knows, maybe we'd make out behind the stands while I tug onto his tee, and take off that cap of his while pulling onto his sweaty hair.
