The Band Back Together
- - - - -
"Report to your stations immediately. This is not a drill. We are under attack!"
Natasha drove through the forest's clearing, while Clint aimed his bow and arrow at the Hydra goons following them. They were driving away from another jeep filled Hydra soldiers that were trying to kill them.
The Avengers needed to get Loki's sceptre.
Thor used Mjölnir to land on one of the tower platforms in which several Hydra soldiers operated. He punched every last one of them, while Iron Man shot several of them down. Thor grabbed one from the air and kneed him the back, tossing him to the ground.
Steve came barreling in on his motorbike, hitting several of the soldiers on the ground, taking one with him for the ride, dragging him on the ground. Steve could hear the cries and shouts behind him and knew it was Ana busting the bunkers.
Ana ran through a group of Hydra soldiers, throwing her daggers and taking them down. She heard the Hulk's roar and when she was finished with her bunker, she followed the sound to meet up with the team.
Hulk grabbed the jeep that was following Clint and Natasha's vehicle and tossed it over the ground so that it rolled to destruction. He then grabbed the oncoming Hydra soldiers and threw them on the ground, knocking them out.
The team came together and leaped into the air in mid fire, charging at the Hydra soldiers. Ana was pretty sure they were shitting their pants.
Tony flew to the Hydra base, an old castle on top of a hill. He charged at the building but a shield prevented him from getting in.
"Shit!" Tony cried, knocking into the building. It was protected by a blue energy field.
"Language!" Steve said.
"Jarvis? What's the view from up stairs?" Ana asked.
"A central building that is protected by some kind of energy shield," Jarvis replied through Tony's helmet. "Strucker's technology is well beyond any other Hydra base we've taken."
"Loki's sceptre must be here. Strucker couldn't mount this defence without it." Thor said in mid-fight to his team on his earpiece. "At long last." He held out his arm and hand, calling out to Mjölnir.
"At long last is lasting a little long, guys." Natasha said.
"Yeah," Clint said as he aimed his arrow at a shooter, "I think we lost the element of surprise."
Ana groaned when a bunch of Hydra soldiers attacked her. She punched her way out and kicked them down unconscious. She flicked her hair out of her eyes, "Ya think?" She remarked.
"Wait a second." Tony said, flying through the skies, "No one else is going to deal with the fact that Cap just said 'language'?"
"I know." Steve winced, speeding up on his motorbike. Steve flipped his bike, tossing it at Hydra soldiers, and knocked them over.
"It just slipped out."

"We have an enhanced in the field."
Ana furrowed her eyebrows at Steve's warning as she ran. She was on her way to the castle, knowing Strucker would be there. Ever since Washington, she's been getting small flashes, like images, in her head when she dreamed or dozed off. She was in a cell, people dressed in white always instructed her or more like forced her to use her abilities. And Strucker, she saw him all the time. He was cruel and abusive, always pushing her to be the best. He thought he could create his own weapon, make her his own Winter Soldier. Then she escaped, right into the hands of Alexander Pierce.

She couldn't remember anything after that.
"Clint's hit." Natasha said into her earpiece. "Somebody want to deal with that bunker?"
Ana skidded to a stop, snowing flying everywhere. She then heard Hulk's roar and a loud crashing noise.
"Thank you."
"Stark, we're really need to get inside." Steve said over the comms.
"Yeah, and I'm almost there, Tony. Work faster please." Ana added.
"I'm closing in." Tony replied.
Tony fired at the gates that allowed him to enter the building. He flew through a truck and snagged a missile. He flew up to the castle and blasted it a few times before sending the missile inside, making the blue energy field drop. "Drawbridge is down, people!"
"Thanks Stark!" Ana smiled in victory but it dropped when something barrelled into her. She flew to the side, rolling on the snowy ground. When she stopped, she sat up with a wince and looked up to see a boy about her age stroll to her with a smirk.
"You didn't see that coming?" He asked with a Sokovian accent.
Ana glared at him and jumped up. "You're the enhanced?" She asked, both of them walking in a circle, staring at each other. Observing one another. Something about her seemed familiar to him, as he looked at her. He then backed away, eyes widening.
Ana furrowed her eyebrows, "Something wrong?"
But he left in a blue blur. He must have recognised her through Strucker. She continued her run to the castle as Thor talked through the comms.
"Find the sceptre."
"And for gosh sake, watch your language!" Tony exclaimed. Ana laughed slightly as she heard Steve sigh.
"That's not going away anytime soon."
- - -
Ana was the first to get in the castle, finding it empty. She searched the rooms, trying to find Strucker before any one else from her team comes. She needed to get Strucker to tell her everything.
She focused her hearing, trying to catch any sound that indicated his presence. It was when she heard a deep chuckle behind her she turned around. Clenching her jaw, Ana looked at the man. He looked exactly the same apart from the single glass lens on his right eye and a large scar on his face. Something she gave him when she was just a teenager.
"Hello, Ana."
"Strucker."
Ana went to charge at him, but he held his hand up. She stopped where she was as he gestured to himself, "I am unarmed, Kosmos. What did I teach you eleven years ago?" He question tilting his head.
Ana couldn't stop herself as her lips started moving and her voice replied to him. "Never to hurt a superior, Herr Strucker." She said like a perfect soldier.
She pulled her lips into a grimace. He had placed a safe word into her mind. Kosmos. Strucker gave her a grin and walked closer to her. "I see it is still intact after all these years. Very good." He hummed, circling her. Ana wouldn't move, thinking he would use the word against her again.
"You have grown strong. Unfortunately you were taken from us before we could show you our world. You would've help shape the century with your abilities. You would've been magnificent, our Winter Warrior."
Ana didn't know why she started laughing. She placed a hand to her mouth to conceal the sound, using her other hand to wave it slightly. Strucker just raised an eyebrow.

"What is it with you and winter?" She asked with a chuckle.
"Winter is what our Mother Russia provides us. We adapt to it, grow in it, use it against our enemies." Strucker explained, stepping in front of her.
Ana gave him a look, "I'm not Russian." She stated.
He smirked, "Hasn't you're adoptive family told you anything?"
Ana grabbed his collar and frightened him by lifting him off the ground. She glared at him with so much hatred, his face would've melted off if she had heat vision. But that's in another universe. "Enough with a vague answers. Tell me everything I don't know about myself!" She said.
"Calm, Kosmos." Strucker rasped out. He watched as Ana's eyes went blank and felt his feet touch the ground once again.
"Baron Strucker." Steve spoke up, entering the castle. Ana blinked and shook her head, she glanced at Steve and saw him approach them. He gave her a curt nod, telling her he'll take care of him.
"Hydra's number one thug." Steve said.
"Technically, I'm a thug for SHIELD." Strucker replied.
"Well then technically you're unemployed. Where's Loki's sceptre?" Steve asked.
"Don't worry, I know when I'm beat." Strucker glanced at Ana, "You'll mention how I cooperated, I hope."
"We'll put it right under illegal human experimentation." Ana remarked. "How many are there?"
Ana spotted a girl with dark hair from the corner of her eye appear from the shadows. She turned to face her only to be forced back by a wave of red onto the wall and hitting her head, Steve getting hit after her and tumbling down the stairs.
Ana got to her feet, to only realise the girl had disappeared. Steve ran up the stairs to Ana. "We have a second enhanced. Female. Do not engage." He spoke into the comms.
"You'll have to be faster than..."
Steve tossed his shield at Strucker to knock him unconscious. Ana looked down at the man, narrowing her eyes at his body. Her mind was telling her to aid her superior, the Hydra inflicted part of her. But she didn't move. Steve's voice shook her out of her thoughts.
"Guys, Ana and I got Strucker." Steve said.
"Yeah, I got...something bigger." Tony replied, "Thor, I got eyes on the prize."
Ana turned her head to Steve and they both shared a relieved smile. They finally found what they came here for. Now they could go home.

The team went back to their quinjet, heading out of Sokovia. No one else had eyes on the boy and girl, only Clint and Steve along with Ana knew how they look like. They were Strucker's experiments, Ana wasn't sure if they were forced or volunteered to participate.
Ana sat on the floor of the quinjet, her palms facing down as she leaned her head back and felt the hum of the aircraft soothe her. Clint was lying on a small bed, resting and as soon as they got back to New York, he was going to get treated immediately.
"Thor, report on the Hulk?" Natasha spoke up.
"The gates of hell are filled with the screams of his victims." Thor said, clamping his hand into a fist.
Ana laughed with him and Bruce looked at Thor with wide eyes, and groaned in despair. Natasha glared at them. Bruce buried his face within his hands and Ana bit her lip as Thor cleared his throat.
"Uh, but, not the screams of the dead, of course. No no, uh... wounded screams, mainly whimpering, a great deal of complaining and tales of sprained deltoids and, and uh... and gout." Thor said, changing his words. He looked to Ana and she gave him a shrug.
"Hey Banner, Dr. Cho's on her way in from Seoul, is it okay if she sets up in your lab?" Tony asked from the pilot seat.
"Uh, yeah, she knows her way around." Bruce replied.
"Jarvis, tell her to prep everything, Barton's gonna need the full treatment." Tony mumbled under his breath.
"Very good sir." Jarvis replied.
"Jarvis, take the wheel." Tony said and his chair slid back to allow him to get off. Ana got up and stood next to Clint.
"Yes, sir. Approach vector is locked." Jarvis said.
"Hey, bud, how you feeling?" She asked Clint.
Clint sighed loudly and she had to let out a small chuckle at his face. "It hurts like a bitch. Right after that punk ran off I got hit. Just wait until I get my hands on him..."
Ana placed a hand on his head and pushed it down when he went to get up, "You and me both. Rest, you'll be taken care of soon." She said. Clint nodded and patted her arm. She smiled at him before walking to Steve and Thor.
"It feels good, yeah?" Tony asked joining Thor, Steve, and Ana. "I mean, you've been after this thing since SHIELD collapsed. Not that I haven't enjoyed our little raiding parties, but..."
Thor grinned, looking down at the sceptre. "No, but this...this brings it to a close."
"As soon as we find out what else this has been used for. I don't just mean weapons. Since when is Strucker capable of human enhancement?" Steve said. Ana looked down.
"Banner and I'll give it the once before it goes back to Asgard. Is that cool with you?" Tony turned to Thor. He nodded. "I mean, just a few days until the farewell party. You're staying right?"
"Yes, yes, of course. A victory should be honoured with revels." Thor said. Ana cracked a smile at him.
"Yeah. Who doesn't love revels." Tony asked, leaning against the table. He eyed Steve, "Captain?"
"Hopefully this puts an end to the Chitauri and Hydra, so. Yes, revels." Steve replied, smiling.
Tony walked to stand next to Ana and placed an arm around her shoulder. She just smirked and crossed her arms as they looked at each other. He grinned at her, "What about you, Ana? You in?" He questioned.
Ana nodded and watched as his smile widened, "Sure, I haven't revelled since college." She said with a small laugh.
"That's the spirit!"

Legacy: A wolf's tale
Follow Akascha as she goes from a beast of burden to a lovely (well more like a slightly belligerent) young woman! Note. This is a shory story (about 25.000 words) I wrote a while back in high school. Therefore, the range and depth of the story might be a bit lacking, but I wanted to share it with you anyway now that I discovered RR. Although I would love comments or constructive criticisme (as one can always learn), be aware that I have - at this point in time - no plans of rewriting this story. Thank you and I hope you enjoy! Oh and before I forget! The first chapter is rather short, but the rest of the chapters will make up for it.
