《Melissa Shield X Male Reader: Advancements of the Heart》Insane Classes

Just like yesterday, the alarm in your room went off again and your head shoots up. Stretches be damned as you did your morning routine and got your goggles strapped onto your face. The red tint was always a little off-putting but at least you could manage it. Your next major project was to find a way to fix the tint so you could see color normally again with them on. Hell, you already drew up blueprints for the design. But aside from that, you had to get up early to get to class on time.
You got your arm fully charged overnight, nerves attached into the wiring, and everything. One of these days, you would upgrade your arm. But that arm would have to wait on your other projects. Now it was time to be educated. You finished packing your bag and took off for the day.
As you walked into the room, you sat down at around the midpoint of the class. You weren't much of a fan of being a front runner, nor did you ever like being in the back. So middle ground was fine for yourself. After you sat down, you felt someone tap you on the shoulder. You turned around and saw Melissa sitting there. She gave you a wave and smile as your jaw slowly dropped as you saw her.
(Y/N): Uh hi. I thought you said you didn't have classes today.
Melissa: I don't. I'm an SI for this class. In other words, a teaching assistant.
(Y/N): Wow. And you're younger than me. Just...wow.
Melissa smiled and sat back in her seat. Your professor then walked into the room and lowered his hand to silence the class.
Kaku: Good morning Class. I am Dr. Seigi Kaku. I will be your rocketry instructor for today.
Male Student: We already know doc.
Kaku: It was for the sake of a new student. So, silence young one.
The Male student laughed a little as Dr. Kaku got to work. You popped out your notebook and began to follow along. Honestly, most of the information was relatively easy to follow along with. Mostly because back at your old school you looked up most of this information to pass the time. So, once class was finished for the day, you were feeling good. You got some new information in your head and overall, a pretty solid day.

Once you packed up your bag, you turned back to Melissa and smiled.
(Y/N): So, is it normally like this?
Melissa: Just about. Normally this quiet too. How was it?
(Y/N): It was way more fun than I thought it would be.
Melissa: Well that's good. You have Dr. Hall next, right?
(Y/N): Uh, yeah. Why?
Melissa: Oh, no reason. Just be ready for some intensity.
You cocked an eyebrow but nonetheless nodded and began to leave the room. You glanced back and saw Melissa wave to you as you walked out of the room. You walked down from one building to another just down the road. Once you got into the room, you saw a tall man walk into the room. He slammed down a few bits of papers and yawned loudly. He took out a cigarette and began to smoke it.
He sighed a little as more students entered the room. You looked at him with some level of confusion as he kept puffing smoke. Finally, he looked at the clock and slapped his hands together.
Hall: Alright. Shut up, I don't care. Moving on now. Where we last left off yesterday was detailing the patterns of different star charts and how we could use them for intergalactic navigation. So, get your pansy notes out and start following along.
You were really taken aback then. A teacher who clearly didn't give a crap about their students. Someone meant to have a warm attitude and this is what happens? You had no words to describe how shocked you were. Regardless, you quickly shocked yourself out of it and got back to work like the other students. The math was a little more confusing than others but you were able to push through. That and the student sitting beside you was willing to assist you. His name was Tomodachi. Really nice dude.
But still, being grilled for an hour and 40 minutes wasn't all too fun. Especially with a complex topic such as this. You also didn't want to push for questions as this dude seemed like an intense manic. Case and point, when he slammed down some more papers onto the table and looked out across to everyone.
Hall: Alright. For the rest of the day, you need to complete this worksheet alone. No outside help. Everything needs to be done before you leave today. Get to work.

The students were quick to grab the papers and get to work. You were too slow and were one of the last to get them and start your work. The equations weren't bad, well, not too bad. Some things were a little crazy, but nothing you couldn't manage. Thanks to an early understanding of velocity, you were easily able to calculate the tangent lines and so forth and so on. It was just a lot of bloody math.
Aside from that, you were able to get all the work done on time and hand in your paper. Hall looked up from his computer at you.
Hall: You're the new guy, right? Dr. Shield has told me a lot about you.
(Y/N): Oh! Uh...yeah.
Hall: Both said you have a knack for mechanics.
(Y/N): Robotics primary and-
Hall: Don't care. All I care about is getting you out of here.
(Y/N): I...er-
Hall: Good luck.
Hall turned around and took out a flask and took a quick swig. You took a step back and walked back and grabbed your stuff. You waved goodbye to Todomachi and left the room. You were just in a daze as you walked back through the building. As you did, you passed by the robotics lab and saw Adrian working on something. You sighed and walked inside the lab.
As you walked in, you set your stuff down at an open desk and walked over. Adrian turned around and faced you. He took out his lollipop and gave you another two-finger salute.
Adrian: How's it going?
(Y/N): Tiring. Just got out with Hall.
Adrian: Douglas or Lucy?
(Y/N): Uh, Douglas I guess.
Adrian: Yeah. Doug's insane. A perfect "no giving a damn" attitude.
(Y/N): I can tell.
Adrian: Good. Your eyes work.
You gained a deadpan expression but quickly shook it off. You then looked at the drone Adrian was working on with another student.
(Y/N): So, what's going on here?
Adrian: Nothing much. Just doing some small work on X-23 here.
(Y/N): Is that its name?
Adrian: Yep. Named after my favorite girl in comics.
(Y/N): Interesting. Anything I can do.
Adrian: Not at the moment. But when Melissa gets back, she would love your help on that gauntlet of yours. She's been ranting about it all day.
(Y/N): As in a good type of ranting or-
Adrian: Feel free to ask her yourself.
Adrian pointed out of the window to the lab as you saw her running in. She slid a little but got the door open and walked on inside. When she saw you, she smiled and walked right up to you.
Melissa: About time you showed up! Come on!
(Y/N): Wait, what?!
Melissa grabbed your hands and walked over to a countertop with the modified gauntlet.
Melissa: My thought was we could use the gear in the building to reinforce the plats. Really try to see how much force they can take.
(Y/N): Do we know about much force it can take right now?
Melissa: With the gauntlet plus the framework, I say around 5,000 newtons of force.
(Y/N): Not bad. But I say we can definitely do more.
Melissa: Agreed. I know! This is some extra gear in the physics lab! I can go talk to them and Hall!
(Y/N): You sure?
Melissa: Positive.
Melissa took your hands in with hers.
Melissa: Wait here real quick! We have a lot of ground to cover!
You blushed when she took your hands with hers. She dropped your hands and turn to run out of the door, just like how she entered. Melissa then left the lab with a smile on her face. You held a blush as well as you watched her almost skip down the hallway.
Adrian: Ask her out man before I do.
Your blush deepened as you slowly turned around to Adrian. He gave you a smirk as he went back to work on the drone. Either it was a go-ahead or a declaration of war, but you didn't care. It's not like you really liked her. I mean, she was cute, smart, and...
...crap.

Meek
After failing as an apprentice cooper and a town guard, Eli finds his place at the Rockbridge archives. Sure, he's the oldest 'junior scribe,' but he likes the job. And he's good at it, too. Then he completes an apparently-insignificant project, and the brutal reaction shocks him--with consequences that eventually shake the world. Eli gains powers. Rare and inhuman abilities. He progresses slowly, steadily, and not without setbacks. He changes, too. Is he a hero, a villain, a human, a monster? Depends who you ask. Meek is an epic fantasy with elements of progression. The basic magic is simple: five Paths, each with a different powerset. However, complexity arises from combinations, and the protagonist wields a magic all his own. Meek is set in the Valley, the only (as far as anyone knows) human empire that survived a Final Battle against a terrible foe. The Valley is warded against infiltration, but the enemy learned how to warp human souls, to foment discord within. However, another soul is also ... changed. Perhaps even 'warped.' And that soul is starting on a long (long, long) path that might, one day, prove that the Final Battle wasn't so final after all.

Silver Wings
Luna doesn't remember much about herself. The faces of her family and friends, even her own name, she can't recall anymore. All this happened after she came to the world of Arkon. But wait, no matter how I look at it, isn't this too much like an RPG?! *Am influenced by many light novels, and some stuff I read on this site... I especially stole a bit of stuff from "So What if it's an RPG?!" since I read that the most recently. Translations can be found on scrya's site. Akatsuki no Yona also big influence =w= *Cover art is not mine, credit goes to... idk where credit goes to cuz I found it off google after searching Ashe from LoL fanart :P

Dip$h!+s in Space
An eccentric comedy novel (that thinks it's a TV show) about space, and the Dipsh!+s that end up stranded in it. This hyper-self-aware comedy of stupid proportions, centers around Captain William T Lawg (no relation) and his adventures as a guy who managed to afford a refitted soft-top ice-cream truck, in space. Explore the universe with his trusty crew of valiant randos. Marley, the tech-bro, stoner spacebunny, who just wants to get away from his home world and the bullies it harbors. Duffy, the plump and sassy female mechanic, who has had every job in existence totaling far more years than possible. Roy, the frigging fabulous, flamboyant android, and former spy…or possibly current spy. (dun dun, daaaa!) And lastly, but certainly leastly, that other chick the captain keeps trying to bang. Ride with the crew of the notorious Tast-E-Chill, to a world of wonder that a lot of other space travelers have already been before, but probably not Lawg, so it's still exciting. This satirical joke on itself and every sci-fi trope ever to exist, will be sure to either thrill you or disappoint you, because COMEDY…IS…SUBJECTIVE! With a crew of 3-10 and an IQ of also probably 3-10, The captain putters along to uncharted lands, where history, loot, drama, innuendos of the sexual verity, and various Technicolor hoes shall surely be waiting, usually with some form of trap. Each season brings new and interesting crewmen, like: Menace: the adorable genderless frog-child-thing with the heart of gold and the dialogue vocabulary of a slightly trained parrot. Greg: the 8 foot tall, ancient, thermonuclear, semi-retired alien overlord who just wants to prove he still has a purpose…and also to rule the galaxy. Izzy: a 3rd generation, age-reversed reboot, accidental clone of her own mother/sister/older self, who happens to be Greg's daughter-in-law…and much, much more. Prepare yourself for shallow adventure, moderately-to high offensive dialogue, and overwhelmingly childish scenarios. Tag along as the crew battles, fierce enemies, lack of food and survival tape, and occasionally their own incompetence. Teen Romance, current politics, subtlety, dignity, this sucker has none of those, and it darn well knows it. Raise the sails and grab the rails as a bunch of dipsh!+s find themselves...IN SPACE. (Roll dramatic tapering credits, to royalty free trumpet music)
