A couple of days passed after Brandan got to know of Emma and Jonathon's relationship. How he was handling this information... not even Oliver had the idea of.
"Don't be like this Emma, you and I both know that you are doing nothing wrong. Nothing." Emma wiped the plate with the towel in her hand after scrubbing it clean in the sink. Snatching the plate off of her hand Elli put it down with the other clean plates a little bit too loudly in annoyance.
Emma huffed shaking her head. "I know Elli, technically you are right but this - this seems really weird. I am going on dates with Jonathon, he's a nice guy I agree... but here Brandan..."
Elli threw her hands up in exasperation. "What about Brandan now Emma? What is it with him that's bugging you so much?"
Blowing out a long breath Emma gripped the edges of the sink and leant down, she shook her head and mumbled, "I don't know Elli. I don't know anything anymore."
After a small pause Elli spoke in a much calmer tone, "Do you still love him?"
A frown appeared on Emma's forehead as she stared blankly at the leftover bubbles in the sink. Did she have the answer of this question? Love... she loved him once, so much... so much that she stayed blind at all the wrongs he had done to her for a really long time. Now, Brandan... he was a complete new persona, at first Emma thought that he was just putting up a nice act but - what if he wasn't. What if he was for real... for real cared about her. She had no doubt that he loved the kids...

Emma's thoughts were going on and on... to the point of the edge of insanity.
Not getting a reply from Emma, Elli placed a comforting hand on her shoulder sighing. " Well, I will then just leave with your thoughts now. Just remember this, only you can figure this out - no one else Emma. But don't take too much time for people will keep hurting if you do so - including yourself."
Then perking up, attempting to lift up the depressing atmosphere she blabbered, "I am gonna take a little nap now, later have a date with the french romance guru tonight and then we are going clubbing."
Giving a parting - comforting pat on Emma's shoulder Elli left the kitchen. Emma still stayed by the sink, her thoughts still haywire with possibilities, confusion and uncertainty with insecurity shamefully topping them all up.

————————————————————
It was a lazy afternoon in the weekend. The summer sun was erupting blinding rays everywhere when Emma walked the distance towards Savanah's house. The old woman had a rise of blood pressure this morning while arguing with Oliver about cooking or something.
Emma took a mental note to warn Oliver not to annoy Savanah too much. But she also had to agree that the old woman acted too immature sometimes too.
It was just Emma's luck that she got all the crazy people as her neighbors.
Someone was coming out of Brandan's house and she hauled on her steps involuntarily seeing him. She absolutely didn't know how to act around him after last night and what to expect from him.
Had Jonathon and her's relationship hurt him - angered him that much that he broke his guitar in such a violent way? She found asking herself this question a thousand times since last night.
Brandan too stopped walking and stood still looking at her.
If Emma thought the anguish she saw in his eyes last night was overwhelming than it was completely unbearable - to see those so blank... void of any emotion.
For a moment she thought he would talk to her, she wanted him to say something - anything. But her heart broke when he didn't.

She screamed mentally when he averted his gaze from hers and simply just walked away. As if he didn't even see her standing there - looking at him.

—————————————————————————————
Brandan was going to the medicine store nearby to fetch some painkiller. His supply of Tylenol had ended last night - might be because of his dependence on the medicine a lot whenever he had a rift with Emma.
The mere thought of loosing her yet once again would always end up with a terrible headache for him. The additional absence of sleep was of no help either.
Last night, he had this terrible awakening - that his fears might be coming true this time... for real. How could he bear losing Emma to another?
"Stressing over something Rozario?"
The deep - mocking voice made him stop in his track as he was yanked out of his thoughts suddenly.
He raised his head up only to stone up his emotions which were probably showing up on his face a moment before.
"Jonathon." Brandan greeted the guy coolly who was throwing him mocking looks. What was he thinking? Trying to get the same treatment he delivered to his guitar? If so then Brandan would welcome the chance with open arms, he would be more than happy to physically remove this obstacle from between Emma and him for once and for all.
Facing Jonathon slowly Brandan met his eyes. "I'm guessing that the reason of your lurking beside the streets and bumping in to me isn't just a coincidence. Wanted to have a chat?"
Joanthon smirked. "You're not that dumb I see." He commented after a pause.
Brandan fisted his hands by his sides getting infuriated by the snide remarks of this man but somehow he managed to keep his expression calm and relaxed. "Obviously not, but people who love to talk in riddles - wasting other peoples precious time just because they themselves have nothing to do of much importance - are pretty dumb I've heard."
Brandan felt a little good to see the look of anger cross Jonathon's features at his come back. He continued, "So lets not waste my precious time here and hear actually what you wanted to talk to me about."
The traces of anger were gone in a minute from Jonathon's face and Brandan noted the fact - this man knew the skills of acting quite well.
Crossing his arms across his chest Jonathon observed Brandan the same way Brandan was observing him. "I must say you're nothing different than what Emma told me about you. A pathetic - soar loser..." The irritating smirk was back on Jonathon's face.
Knowing very well that Jonathon was trying to bait him Brandan kept his cool. "So she talks to you about me?" He played along.
Now the irritaion was clear on Jonathon's face as he breathed heavily. Brandan knew he won this round.
"Anyways, I just wanted to tell you this..." Jonathon said after a pause breathing heavily, "Stay away from MY girl. I don't want you create any problem in our perfect relationship."
Matching Jonathon's tone Brandan snarled back, "Insecure much Jonathon?"
Joanthon was about to snap something back but Brandan wasn't interested anymore.
Taking steps backwards Brandan gave him a wicked smile. "You know what? You're right. You should be worried, you have reasons to fear me."
With one last satisfied look at Jonathon's enraged face as his words slowly sank in to the guy's head, Brandan turned around and left.
