《Destiny Rewritten》Chapter 62

"So wait now instead of running unopposed, you've got three opponents?" Thea asked after Laurel had told the team.
"Yep, Blood and Pollard I've heard of. Blood's an alderman in the Glades and Pollard's a member of the city council." Laurel said.
"Who is incredibly anti vigilante might I add." Roy said.
"Yeah, but I've never heard of Ruve Adams." Laurel said.
"Guys, we have another problem." Sara said as she joined them.
"Great, what now?" Oliver asked.
"I've been keeping tabs on known League safe houses and assets in the city. One of them just became active." Sara said.
"Wait, the League of Assassins is in the city?" Oliver asked, though he'd been expecting this ever since he heard that Ruve Adams had come onto the scene, since that could only mean one thing.
"Yep. I haven't made contact with them yet because I thought it might be a good idea to have some backup." Sara said.
"You and I will go investigate this, since we're the only ones here with any experience with the League. If they're in my city I want to know why." Oliver said and Sara nodded as they moved to suit up.
"You sure this is the place?" Green Arrow asked White Canary as they arrived at the safehouse.
"Positive." White Canary said.
"Okay then, let's go get some answers." Green Arrow said as he fired an arrow towards the building, creating a cable for them to zip across, crashing right through the window to see about a dozen League members of waiting for them.
"Huh, only 12 guys." Green Arrow said.
"Yeah, they should've brought more." White Canary said.
"There is no need for that." a familiar voice said and much to their shock, Ra's al Ghul walked out from behind his men.

"Ra's al Ghul. What brings you all the way out to Star City?" White Canary asked, trying to place peacemaker, since Green Arrow didn't seem anymore eager to lower his weapon. If anything, he looked like one wrong move and he'd let his arrow fly.
"Not to wage war with you Oliver Queen." Ra's assured them.
"You'll understand if I don't just take your word for it. Why are you in my city?" Green Arrow demanded as Ra's raised his hand for his warriors to stand down.
"An enemy of the League has entered this city." Ra's said.
"So, why come here yourself? I thought this was the sort of thing you sent enforcers to do?" Oliver asked asked, though he had an idea.
"Normally I would, but this is a special case. The enemy is Damien Darhk." Ra's said.
"Your greatest enemy." White Canary realized as Green Arrow finally lowered his bow as Ra's nodded.
"Indeed. My sources confirmed that Damien entered the city a few weeks ago. We've been in the city just as long and have been trying to gather information." Ra's said.
"You could've reached out. If this Darhk guy is your enemy, he must be dangerous, which means this is situation where the enemy of my enemy is my ally. You may have numbers, but we have a resource you don't." Oliver said, since he'd take all the help he could get with Darhk.
"And what might that be?" Ra's asked.
"Knowledge of this city. My team and I know this city like the back of our hands. You don't. We can help each other." Oliver said.
"I was hoping you'd come to this conclusion, however, I thought it best to let you come to me, to avoid any unnecessary bloodshed." Ra's said.

"We'll help you on one condition." Oliver said.
"And that is?" Ra's asked.
"Once Darhk and his followers are dealt with, you'll leave Star City alone." Oliver said.
"Agreed. Trust that I do not wish conflict with you Oliver Queen. If anything, a man of your talents would make a fine addition to the League." Ra's said.
"I appreciate the offer, but I've got too much to live for here." Oliver said.
"Very well. I assume that we will not face resistance from you?" Ra's asked.
"As long as innocent people don't get caught in your crossfire, fine." Oliver said as he and Sara took their leave.

The Abyssal Sanctum
Sanctus is a Dungeon core on a remote island in a world filled with monsters and heroes. A world where people deal with demons and pray to angels, and a world where even gods know fear. Sanctus isn't just a normal core but also a demonic blade forged with angel's blood and trapped in the ground for thousands of years. Follow sanctus as it grows, and devours any soul foolish enough to die in its depths. This is my first story on Royal Road and I am using it as an exercise to become a better author. Hope you enjoy.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.

Hopeful Start
DROPPED: Decided to drop this one, I didn't properly think through a lot and as i started making chapters i found myself aiming for a word count and adding things or characters that i probably wouldn't use later, same with the system, i awas making it convoluted. Sorry! Transported to another world? Maybe to defeat the demon king or defeat a evil god! However for our protagonist he wasn't quite as lucky, working day in day out to pay off the debt his parents left him only to go home and get transported to another world where he is attacked by a unknown creature. Hello! This is my first time writing a story and i most likely won't do the best job at doing so. Some constructive feedback and tips would be fantastic.

But amongst the bad, she also found some good people including her best of friends Anne Cuthbert, Diana Barry and maybe even Gilbert Blythe.
