It was afternoon, Dev was working on his laptop while Sonakshi was sleeping in the bedroom. Dev was working on a surprise party for Sonakshi's birthday with was one day away. He had planned to invite a few of their close friends for a dinner party. He wanted to keep the party simple yet memorable for Sonakshi. He didn't want Sonakshi to take stress and that's why he had planned a small get together with closed ones. Dev and Sonakshi had a common friends circle. Dev's best friends were her best friends too. Dev called everyone and invited them for the dinner party. He made arrangements for food and drinks. After all the arrangements were taken care of, Dev didn't know what to gift Sonakshi. He knew how much she loved gifts and birthdays. He searched online but it didn't not help him find the ideal gift. He thought for a few hours and he suddenly remembered that Sonakshi loved handbags and that she always wanted a 'Prada' handbag. Dev was always a good listener and he now knew what to gift Sonakshi. He rushed to the mall and brought the bag that Sonakshi always wanted.

Sonakshi was unaware about all the planning and efforts dev was putting in the make her special day even more special.

Dev reached home and quietly hid the gift in the guest room closet.

It was Sonakshi birthday. More than her, it was Dev who was excited. He made her breakfast and kept it on the dining table. As Sonakshi walked out of the room, Dev screamed 'happy birthday Sonakshi'. 'Thank you dev'. Dev hugged her from the side. Sonakshi felt awkward for some reason.

They sat on the table to have breakfast. Sonakshi was looking into her plate while eating. Dev said' Sonakshi tum ready ho jao. Tumhari Maa be Hume lunch ke lea invite kia hai. Hum 1pm ko niklenge. Aur ha, abhi Nikki aur riya thume wish karne ke lea ghar aa rahe hai. Theek hai?' Sonakshi liked the plan and she nodded.

Sonakshi kept her plate in the kitchen sink and went to take a quick shower. She removed the clothes from the closet and kept them on the bed. She heard dev's phone ring. It was kept on the bed. It was Ishwari. Sonakshi answered the call. 'Hello?' Said Sonakshi. 'Sonakshi?' Ishwari didn't like that Sonakshi answered the call. 'Ji?' Sonakshi voice was hardly audible to Ishwari. 'Sonakshi happy birthday. Tum kaise ho? The wish and question sounded extremely fake. Sonakshi replied 'thank you. Main theek hu. It was an awkward conversation for both of them. Sonakshi suddenly changed the topic by saying ' dev kitchen main hai, main unhe phone deti hu'. Sonakshi rushed to the kitchen and handed the mobile to dev. With that she went to get ready.

Sonakshi wore a beautiful blue coloured Anarkali. She looked extremely gorgeous in that out fit. When dev saw her, he couldn't take his eyes off her. He was about to compliment her but the door bell rang. Nikki and riya stood at the door. As Sonakshi opened the door, Nikki and riya hugged her tightly. 'Happy birthday Sona bhabi' Sonakshi hugged them back 'thank you. Dev was watching this while he stood behind Sonakshi. All of them sat together and chatting for sometime. Soon it was time for them to leave for bose house for lunch.

Asha was all ready aware about dev's surprise plan and that was the reason why she had called the two for them for lunch. Dev had given his spare keys to his best friend Vir would would take care of all the arrangements while they where at the bose house.

Asha had warned Bijoy to not say anything to Dev as it was Sonakshi's special day and she did not wish to ruin it for her. The lunch at the bose house was good and peaceful. They had planned to spend the entire day at the bose house so that all the arrangements could be done in their apartment. Vir along with all the other people had done all the preparations. It was 8 in the evening and it was time for the surprise party.

As Sonakshi opened the door of her apartment, it was pitched dark. She traced the switch board. As soon as the lights turned on, all her friends began to sing happy birthday to her. Sonakshi had a huge smile on her face. Dev made her sit on the sofa while all came to hug her.

Dev offered everyone alcohol while he had some canned juice with Sonakshi, just to give her company. The party was fun and refreshing. Sonakshi loved to meet all her friends.

All had left after the party. Dev was cleaning the table. Sonakshi went to him and said 'thank you dev. Thank you for this amazing day. It was indeed special. Dev smiled at her and said' your welcome Sonakshi......arey wait. Main toh thume tumhara gift dena hi bhool gaya'. He rushed towards the guest room and got her gift. Sonakshi opened it and was shocked to see her favourite handbag. She always wanted that handbag. 'Thank you so much dev. This is beautiful. Thume yaad tha ke mujhe yeh bag chahiye thi? Dev nodded and said 'of course' and smiled at her. 'Sonakshi raat bhaut ho gai ha. I think you should sleep. Aur thume yaad hai na, kal tumhara ultrasound hai. We have to reach the hospital by 9:30 am. Sonakshi said 'yaad hai Dev. Tomorrow is Going to be special. They smiled at each other and Sonakshi went towards the bedroom. As she walked, she kept thinking about dev and her relationship. Deep within her heart she knew that Dev was a very good man but things that happened that day made her doubt their relationship. With that deep thought she went to sleep.
