《The Order Of Machiavelli》2 - ♣The plan is formed(ii)

She'd started this side organization, making her alter self, seven years ago, following the death of her younger sister, Winifred. The one sister closest to her. The one sister who actually understood her. She'd be inconsolable and had vowed never again would she be weak in the face of an enemy. Never again would she be unable to protect the people she loved. Rankov Zamani. The billionaire tycoon who'd killed her baby sister. She'd become a judge to have the right to persecute him...the right way. But till tomorrow, she'd yet to find any incriminating evidence on him. Spotless. She couldn't find him. Her team could have easily taken him out, but death was too easy for that sick bastard. She needed him to suffer on earth first, turn the whole world against him, bankrupt him to the extent where he couldn't even afford a pair of suit and when that was done, send him off to his grave through the most painful means ever. This was the foundation on which Vivman was built. Painful, hard, cold revenge. This was her life's goal.
"Okay I know being deep in thought is normal for you. Your spirit tends to leave when it's most needed. But this is just too long, even for you. It's been over thirty minutes now and you've showed no signs of coming out of it. So if you don't mind me asking, exactly how long do you expect us to wait?" Ethan asked with a twinkle of laughter in his eyes
"What?...oh! I'm sorry. I just um... I'm just..." Viv said snapping out of her reverie.
"It's okay. This is normal for you remember? Ethan was quite correct. There's almost no day you don't zone out in front of us" Flick said, his facial expression softening, the closest he ever came to a smile...or at least in front of her.

"You did call this meeting to tell us about something. Would you like to tell us what that is now?" Aaron asked, outrightly laughing at her obvious embarrassment. She blushed furiously, wondering why she was always zoning out in front of them. But she supposed she knew the answer to that. They were family. These six guys. That's why she could lower her guard around them and zone out. They'd been through thick and thin together. But most importantly, they knew her too. The real her.
"Remember our red diamond client from five months ago?" Viv asked softly
"The six feet, sexy, hot nerd? And oh, have I mentioned sexy already? If I were gay, which of course *sniffs* I am, I'd totally screw the son-of-a-bitch. Except he isn't. Gay, I mean" Cole finished off shrugging, his English accent showing with every pronunciation he made, as he gradually started picking out his teeth with his Biro
"We all remember him Viv." Ethan replied loosening up his tie and setting his hands on the desk
"Well, he called this morning and said that we needed to speed up the schedule and have the red diamond delivered to him by the end of this week." She said softly, searching through their eyes, watching, waiting, for any sign of reaction.
"And what did you say to that, when he asked you?" Nath spoke up
"Well, I told him I'd check with my team before making any sudden decisions. Plus, it's been five months now..." She trailed off
"Vivienne there was a reason why we drew a schedule for seven months. There was a reason why we told Mr Nygma that we needed seven months to get him those red diamonds." Ethan said, his face changing to an instantly calculating one

"I know Ethan" she replied softly.
"Do you Viv? My Nygma doesn't want just any diamond. He wants the diamond. If he wanted just any red diamond, the same day he asked, we could have given him, as long as he was willing to pay for it, heck I even wear one around my neck. But this, this is different" Flick said
"This is more than different. It's outrightly dangerous. He wants the biggest red diamond in the whole of history. And the diamond is in the possession of the one person who we may not respect, but we can't afford to cross" Nath said
"The order of Machiavelli" Aaron finished off, neither smiling nor laughing
"And one of the hardest, most dangerous things in the world, is stealing from them. So trying to reduce our time of strategizing, is outright suicide" Ethan said
"I know guys. I know all these. You all are acting as if I just said one of the most foolish things in the world. But I wouldn't have brought it up, or I'd have even shunned Mr Nygma outrightly, if I didn't think it were possible at all" Viv said, staring at every one of them intently.
"Today is Tuesday. He wants it by the end of the week, which is Saturday. That gives us four days. You want us to plan and steal a diamond from the order of Machiavelli in four days. Are you absolutely fucking serious Vivienne?" Aaron said, raising a brow.
"Not four days, five months. This is an operation that we've been planning for the past five months! This year, the order is hosting three very huge balls. One is to celebrate the passing of their former leader, the second is to celebrate their one hundred and fifty fourth year anniversary, while the last is to celebrate their new leader. And because of this, most of the members of the order are going to be right here in Philadelphia!"

The Morrigan
Reality started crumbling the day I died and reincarnated. The enigmatic God offered some answers, but at the same time created more questions. Given a goal both absurd and ambiguous, I choose to start my new life. It sounded good and all, but first, I would have to avoid being eaten by my new family, or killed by the inhabitants of this new world. This is the story of how I tried to stay human when the world pushed me to become something else. A Swarm. Writing for fun and as a way to improve my English. Overpowered protagonist haters begone. The cover isn’t from my authorship, I just found it on the internet.

The Last Breath
When Yezzu first sent his sons to the realm of men, they brought with them the magic of the gods. They created the three kingdoms we now have today being Dremshen, Ex'ol, and Kantillion. In the five thousand years since the gods left, much has changed. Great wars were fought, Universities were built, civilizations were created. One thing remained after the gods' departure though, their powers. Today, the balance of crafting the three gods brought has shifted. In the beginning, each had the same skill as the other, but the magic that was passed down through the millennia has diminished. The struggle for power that started long ago is coming to a defining moment. Plots of war and assassination are being weaved. Don't despair, for we may yet be saved from the disasters to come. Our hope lies in three young crafters. The first is William Divus, who sets out from his small village into the Dremshen Kingdom to study crafting after his father's passing. His questions about his father and his quest for knowledge drive him. Next comes Ehzahn Obasi, an Ex'olian thief with unparalleled skill. He steals for the thrill, no longer needing the rewards that come with it. He has just achieved his lifelong dream, but he will soon learn how much he underestimated the fallout from his daring theft. The last is Ki Soru, the niece of a powerful duke. She showed promise with crafting at a young age, so she had the best training the Kantillion Kingdom had to offer. Ten years have passed since her lessons began, leaving the king unsatisfied with the results. Her life is upended when her new teacher arrives, revealing a secret kept from her that changes her whole life. These three are our heroes. They were born in separate kingdoms under vastly differing upbringing, but each with their own part to play in the challenges to come. Here begins our tale of mischief and misery with only but a sliver of hope.
