《Wolfs Bride(bwwm)》Chapter Twenty-Two

My eyes widened, her words pushing past the rush of blood in my ears. I struggled against her hold, her grip tightened further and with a sharp snap she tossed me across the room.
My body hit the ground, the momentum causing me to roll across the ground. Chelsey weeping met my ears. Disoriented I grunted as I tried to regain my equilibrium.
Before I could feel a sharp pain in my side, my mother's foot connected with my side causing my ribs to crack. The pain forced me to scream out, she repeated the movement twice more, before she suddenly knelt at me side grabbing the back of my head she forced my head up, her eyes blazed with a manic light.
**
"And you thought you were angry for being sold." She spat, and laughed, She stood her hand still gripping my head in a punishing grip, she dragged me back over to the raised stage. "Imagine dear, your father is the leader of your people, and a strong Alpha. Your mother is the perfect Luna, they are the perfect couple, and you luckily have met the love of your life and then a sneaky, conniving bastard finds out your fathers secrete."
She let go, letting Argos head hit the ground. Before she walked over to Argos knocked out father, she grabbed a rod that leaned against the wall and raising it she brought it down on his back. Her father screamed, "And this conniving, and ambitious Alpha tells your father to give him his daughter, and the leadership of their people or he'd reveal your fathers secret."
She motioned for one of Argints people to grab Argo's father and lift him so he was on his knees, "Lift his head," She grinned that's better, and with an expert hand she spun the rod, and whipped it across his face, causing his neck to snap to the right. A piece of hair fell over her forehead, she jerked her head back, and met Argo's shocked gaze. "Dear do you want to know what the secret is?"
She pursed her lips when Argo didn't say anything, "Well, I'll tell you anyway. Your father, the great and wondrous Alpha has another bitch off site, who is "loved" ever so much. Ha-ha, and this old codger has gotten this young bitch pregnant."
She walked over towards Argo, dragging the rod behind her. Chelsey flinched away from her, her eyes shaking terrified of the deadly aura her mother was pouring out. "And does he fess up, and tell the truth? No--tsk, he moves to cover his tracks, and gives the damn conniving filth everything he ask for."

She stopped in front of Argo, "He pays off the love of your life, so he abandons you," She placed a hand over her stomach, "The pain from that normally would've crippled you. You feel like the world is falling around you. Everything makes you want to vomit," she pursed her lips, her eyes far off, "Then you're locked in a room, starved, and forced to agree to marriage when you realize you are pregnant."
She shook her head, pain coating her voice. "So, you choose to marry the man who so graciously offered to take care of you, you take the magnanimous offer. Never knowing, he's the reason your in such pain." Smiling while, crying she continued lifting the cudgel above her head aiming it for Argo's head, "Then you find out everything from your mother as she lay dying on her bed, the bitterness of her story chokes you so much, that you can barely breathe What's worse?"
She shook her head, aiming the sharp edge of the cudgel for Argo's neck. "Your father has named his bitches daughter the Keeper of the Bellamy family wealth, and when she turns eighteen and marries her Alpha she will get everything?!" Her eyes widened, her teeth bared, "LIKE HELL SHE WILL!"
She brought down the cudgel, Argo who was weakened from emotional shock and having been tossed across the room barely flinched.
With sudden growl, and flash of flesh Ewan grabbed her and pulled her into his arms.
Argint eyes widened in shock as he looked from where he'd been pointing his gun, to where Ewan now stood.
Ewan had retreated with Argo in his arms to the other side of the chamber, his face was slowly healing. The traces of blood remained, as he looked over Argos form. "Argo?" He called, as he brushed his hands over her face.
Her face was blank, and her tears were silent. She turned her gaze to him, "Ewan?"
He nodded, placing both one on either side of her face. "Love? Are you okay?"
Argo shook her head, she lifted her gaze to the hateful expression of her mother on the other side. As if in slow motion, she placed a hand on Ewan's and slowly pushed away from him and stood. "She plans to kill us here."
Ewan shook his head, his eyes narrowed, "She will not succeed," he stood facing Argint, "We will escape."
"Escape?" Argo said thoughtfully, her eyes were still disturbingly blank. "We cannot escape such hate."
Argo bowed her head, and pulled off her shirt tossing it aside. She turned around and walked over to the wall that held other weapons, but she grabbed a cudgel. "My mo-no, Celia seems intent on killing all of us here." She smiled grimly, "And it seems she has legitimate reason." She placed a hand onto the surface, and turned her eyes towards Ewan. "You know; it's funny I think I'm actually sad at losing my mother."

"Lass-." Ewan said, his eyes filled with sorrow for Argo.
She swallowed, and lowered her head blinking her eyes hard, "I-I will fight." She harshly whispered, turning around she grabbed the cudgel. And faced her older sister, Argint and their people.
She let a smirk grace her lips as she yelled over, "So your life is hard, boo-hoo!" She laughed, "It's not my fault your daddy couldn't keep it in his pant old bag!"
Her sister face twisted into a snarl, "You bitch!"
Argo shrugged, "I don't think anyone could beat you in the bitch category." She walked forward, swinging the cudgel just as well as her mother, "But I'll enjoy spending the money to reach your level."
Ignoring Argint calling her back, Argo's mother stepped forward fuming, it was clear Argo had pushed her to the limits of her patients.
"Then dear little one, are you calling a challenge?" The question was hissed out, a cruel smile curling her lips.
Argo hesitated, a formal a challenge wasn't something that happened on a daily basis. It was challenge that demanded death at its price. She felt a cold sweat break out on her skin, her sister really, and truly wanted her dead.
Her sister tossed her cudgel aside, it hit the ground and rattled as it rolled away from her. She mused aloud, "Now that it's occurred to me, I think that would be the best way to settled this affair." Her skin darkened till it was pitch black, her teeth bright in contrast to her skin lengthened. Her arms snapped a rush of blood lust permeating the air. "Yes! That's the best choice!"
The sound of ripping, and cracking of bones caused those in audience to cease movement. Argo eyes widened as she watched her mother become the true wolf form. Her howl of rage shaking the rafters.
Chelsey who'd been trying to shake her Bellamy, and Rorik awake cringed away from the powerful black furred wolf that's hackles were raised.
The true form was something not many changelings adapted to. The true form was bigger, broader and far more appropriate for killing...and only Alpha's could do it.
Ewan and Argo stared at the jaw snapping at them. Celia put all the pressure into her hind legs, and push off causing the ground to break under her, she shot at Argo.
Who lifted her cudgel, to avoid being chomped in half, her eyes were wide as she grunted when Celia forced into a corner. She could Ewan calling her name, but her eyes were only focused on the dark orbs staring into hers.
Celia teeth grinded into the wood of the cudgel, her large body pushing Argo further and further back.
Hate.
Argo thought was easy; it was something she'd spent her entire life dealing with. How could she suppress it better?
She'd held on to it, that was the main reason she's rarely taken to her wolf form. She'd always felt more control in her human skin. Yet as her mother...no, not her mother but Celia tried to bite her cudgel in half. She felt rage coming over her.
She'd felt the heat in her hut before its boiling had made her sick on several occasions. When she'd wanted to scream, and fight back it had damn near choked her.
Through gritted teeth, she spat out one word lifting her foot she placed it against Celia's chest and with all her strength she kicked out.
"ENOUGH!"
She felt more than saw she'd broken something; Celia flew back landing a few feet away she staggered before regaining her balance.
Cracking her neck, Argo tossed the useless stick aside rolling her arm. She didn't even look at Ewan as she let her hate and resentment swallow her mind.
Her teeth sharpened, her eyes narrowing. "Do you think you're the only one walking around with anger issues?!" She said loudly, her skin growing a dark and darker wood color. Her hair seeming to grown longer. She lifted a hand, ignoring the pain surging through her body. Her eyes were glowing. "I fucking washed your clothes! Celia, you're really not that fucking worth it, but..." She said a hoarseness entering her voice as her bones snapped and her wolf form took over, "I'M GOING TO BEAT EVERY THING I'VE FELT INTO YOU!"
Ewan eyes widened at the wolf that now stood where Argo had been, it's hackles raised its teeth bared. The gold highlights in its fur were where Argo's scars were. Her claws dug into the concrete easily shredding it.
In a rush the two wild beast clashed. Everyone's eyes were focused on the two.
