It's been a couple weeks since Ashanti's mother showed up at the house. Ashanti and Jay have been tighter than ever. Demarcus and Jo'nae started dating. Even though they are having their rough patches. Rachel and Nicole are still up to their same old fan girl type shit.

"I thought you were going to work Jay!" I said approaching his car outside. He was leaned up against the passenger side window.

"Come here." He grabbed my hand and pulled me in by my waist.

"I wanted to talk to you." He said looking down at me. I laughed.

"You could've texted me or called me if you just wanted to talk so what do you want?" He smiled and licked his lips.

Don't do that unless you wanna commit a sin!

"I've been fuckin witchu since the day you got here, you've built me to be a better person, you've motivated me, and you make a nigga happy. On some real shit, I want to ask you a question." He let go of my waist and reached in the car and brought out a bouquet of flowers.

He gave them to me and I tried not to cry cause that's so sweet. No one has ever bought me flowers. Well my dad has but no one other than him.

"I wanted to ask you something Ashanti." He looked kind of nervous in the face.

"What is it?" I said tilting my head to the side with a smile.

"You wanna be my girl?" I smiled. "His girl" this nigga funny asl.

"Yea, I'll be ya girl." I said mocking him. He pulled me in quick and kissed my lips.

It was a passionate one like he been waiting.

I thought we was already dating. I mean we kicked it all the time and shared them cute lik moments and shit. But he just made it official official...

"Now go to work." I said pulling away.

"Nah, hold on." He pulled me aside and opened the passenger door. He had more roses, fruit cards, and moneyyyyyy. I hugged him tightly, thanking him for the gifts.

"Your welcome ma." I took out my phone and took a picture of it.

I turned and kissed him gently.

"I'll take your fruit basket in get the rest so I can get to the trap before the boys start tweakin" He grabbed the basket and I grabbed the flowers and money after him. We set it in the house and he left for work.

NaeNae soon walked in while I was eating some fruit out my basket.

"Ouu, Jay got you this?" She said pointing to the basket. I knodded smackin on some pineapple cause baby these are good!

"We have to go to the store to get vases for my flowers!" I said pointing to them!

"Alright then put them fuckin pineapples down and let's go!" I laugh and put my fruit basket in the fridge.

I put my shoes on grabbed my wallet and keys and we both head to my car.

I got hot fast so I put the window down.

"Girl! It is the middle of November! If you don't pull that window up it's cold outside." NaeNae said closing her hoodie more.

"Girl I am bout hot as shit!" I started breathing heavily a little bit.

"What's wrong with you girl?" She said looking at me.

"Just a little nauseous." She kept staring at me with a smile on her face. I looked over at her and laughed.

"What?"

"You've been throwing up and feeling nauseous a whole lot lately." She said smiling.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Maybe you have a little friend." She said poking my stomach.

"Girl if you don't shut up I am not pregnant." I said smacking her hand.

"You might be boo."

We pull up to the store and hop out. I go to the plant section while NaeNae goes in the other direction. I grab two vases off the shelf and put it in the cart. I see more things like a water container I put it in the cart just cause. I walk through out the store trying to find NaeNae. I finally found her in the baby aisle.

"Girl wtf are you doing in this aisle? You tryna tell me something" I said parking the cart against the aisle.

"Oh hell no, i'm team fuck them kids. Until you have yours." She said looking through the rack of baby clothes.

"Why do you have these??" I said grabbing the pregnancy tests out her hand.

"Because,"

"Because why?"

"The sudden morning sickness, the constant hunger, all those hours of sleeping you get. You don't ever sleep that much Shanti." I rolled my eyes laughing at her.

"Girl, I am not pregnant." I say giving her back the tests.

"Can you at least just try them. Please. And if your not you can say "I told you so" but I just want to make sure you and your bean are okay."

"Alright fine, I'll take them. But they're going to come out negative." I said taking them and putting them in the cart.

"It sounds like your trying to convince yourself more than me."

We pushed the cart through the store collecting a few more things before checking out. NaeNae grabbed the bags and we walked to the car, putting them in.

"Alright to the laboratory" She said buckling in.

This fuckin girl.

We got home and the first thing she did was try to drag me to the bathroom to take a test.

"Nae! Stop, I wanna put my flowers in the vase first."

"Fuck dem flowers. I wanna be an auntie!" She dragged me in the bathroom and gave me the test.

"Do I really have to do this?" She quickly knodded and danced in the mirror while I pissed on the stick.

We sat on the floor in the bathroom waiting for the results.

"So if it's a boy what we gon name him?" She whispered.

"Girl- First of all, we?! You are not he baby father, Jay is." I said laughing. "And why are you whispering?"

"I don't want it to hear me. What if it's a girl that would be offensive."

I just laughed at her while the test made a beep sound. We quickly locked eyes and I reached for the pregnant test. I took a deep breathe before turning it over.

Seeing those two lines on that stick was a major reality check. I'm a mom. Oh my fucking god. I am a mother. Oh my god.

I stood there staring at the test.

"Girl what it say!" NaeNae says taking it from me. "Oh my god! I'm an aunt! Oh my god oh my godddddd!" She said jumping around.

"Y-You have to tell what's his name!" She said pointing at me. I laughed.

"Jay?"

"Yes!" She said holding her head. "Awe bestie your pregnant! Oh I love you so much girl! You gon her through this pregnancy like a champ babe!" She hugged me tightly before pulling away. She calmed down and looked at me.

"You okay?"

"I'm fine yea, I mean I'm happy i'm pregnant but what if he don't want it."

"Girl fuck him if he don't! You want it so that's all that matters!" She said. She was right.

"How am I going to tell him?" I said smiling.

"Just give it to him"

"But Jay is different! Like he slow asl!"

"Okay than later tonight while you guys are laying down give it to him." I knodded and put the pregnancy test up in my room.

NaeNae and I sat in the living room on our laptops planning a baby shower and shit. I don't know how far I am I have grown a belly but not that noticeable.

We worked on the baby shower all day long and by the time we closed our laptops the boys were walking through the door and it was dark outside.

"Hey mamas" Jay said walking over to me. I tiled my head back and he pecked my lips.

"Wow!" Demarcus said. "When did this become a thing?" He said smacking on some skittles.

"This morning." I said getting up to hug him.

Jo'nae stayed sitting on the couch and Demarcus sat down next her.

They had their own conversation but you can tell it wasn't going well. She started to get angry. They've been dating for a couple weeks now and they've been on and off arguing. After a while Demarcus got up and left.

"Are you fucking serious?" She said jumping up off the couch. Jay and I snap our necks looking at them. She had her phone in her hand with a picture of Demarcus and some other girl on it.

"Like I fucking said! You been sneaking around doing bullshit thinking I won't find out." She said holding the phone up to him.

"Bae Im not doing this today." He said turning to walk to his room.

"That's the fuckin problem you always walk away from your problems instead of solving them." She said following him.

We could hear them arguing back and forth.

"Should we interfere?" I ask Jay. He shakes his head.

"They aren't little kids they're adults. They should be able to handle their own problems." He said putting his jacket on the hook behind the door. We heard a sudden crash. We ran to Demarcus's room and saw his mirror was busted and glass was everywhere.

"What the fuck are ya doing in here?" I asked walking in. They both turn to us. I see Jo'nae with a scratch on her face and tears in her eyes. Demarcus had tears in his too.

"What happened?" I asked.

"She tried throwing her phone at me but missed and hit the mirror." He said eating his skittles.

"Watch your step bae." Jay said moving me away from the glass.

"She started tweakin on me about some bitch in my picture bro. I don't even know shorty like that. That's homies's girl. I just took a fuckin picture with her and Nae started tweakin on me." Demarcus said sitting on his bed.

"What picture?" Jay asked. Demarcus shows him the picture and he nods his head. "That's homie girl she was at the club today. She took pictures with all of us. She was drunk asl she ain't know what she was doing." He told NaeNae.

I grabbed her for a hug and pulled away looking at her face.

"What's this scratch on your face" I whispered to her.

"He mushed me when I got in his face he must of scratched me. But he didn't hit me or anything." She said between tears. I smoothed her hair down and looked over at Demarcus. He was looking at her with guilt in his eyes.

"Ma I ain't mean to mush you in your face like that." He said scooting across the bed towards us. He pulled her arm for her to come to him. I let her go and let him hold her.

"You want some?" He said offering her skittles.

I look over to Jay who is staring at the broken mirror.

"Well ya two dumbasses got bad luck hope you know that." He said turning to them. "Come on bae, help me clean this up. Watch your step. Ion need yo crybaby ass stepping in glass." He said making his way to the door. I kissed my teeth and gave him a mug look.

"I'm not a crybaby." I said to him. He gave me a look as I followed him and we cleaned up the glass.

Once we were done we called NaeNae and Demarcus in the living room.

"What's up with ya two?" I said as they sat down. They shrugged their shoulders.

"That's it?" I said looking at them. NaeNae looked like she wanted to speak but she was biting her tongue. I gestured for her to talk but she slowly shook her head.

"I thought ya was cool with eachother, ya been bickering back and forth for weeks now. What's up?" Jay said to them. But they just sat there. Demarcus smacked on his skittles while she avoided eye contact.

"You know what ya gon have to talk this out amongst each other. Ya grown ass adults i'm not going to sit here and baby the fuck outta you. If he want you and you want him ya gon have to apply the pressure." I walked out the room and started to go upstairs as Jay followed me. We heard them silently talking.

"Well that was something." Jay said walking in my room behind me.

"Your telling me. Getting them to talk out their differences is hard. Like why jump in a relationship if you can't handle the downs just as well as the ups." He watched as I grabbed clothes out my dresser for a shower.

"I mean I understand it. She loves him and he loves her. But they don't see eye to eye in a lot of things. I get that. But this constant arguing maybe it was better when they were just bestfriends, but that's not my business to say or enforce. So what I will be doing is playing the bestfriend role like I have since I got here." I walked over to my bed where Jay was seated looking at me and pecked his lips before leaving to take a shower.

The warm water was beating down on my body while I stared at the wall feeling my tummy. I know a couldn't feel a baby yet but soon it was going to be one there.

Shit. I still have to tell Jay.

That slipped my mind. I finished up in the shower, brushed my teeth, and walked back to my room. I climbed in bed next to Jay while he flipped through Netflix. He's got real comfortable in my damn bed.

"Jay." I say looking down at him.

"Hm" I start playing with his braids.

"So you know how I've been sick a lot lately?"

"Yea"

"And how i've been eating and sleeping a lot?"

"Umhum"

"Well. I took a pregnancy test and I'm pregnant." I said fast. He turned around looking at me.

"Ma, Are you serious?" I knodded my head and a smile broke out on his face. He instantly looked down at my tummy.

"My seed is in there." I laughed and took the pregnancy test out my drawer and gave it to him. He looked at it with awe.

"Imma be a pops. You hear that lil nigga. You gotta dad." He said talking to my stomach. I slapped his head.

"What?" He said laughing.

"Don't say that!" I said laughing.

"Ah shit, it can hear us?"

"It?!" I said with a face. "The baby!"

"Yea yea, that's what I meant."

Lord help me.

We laid down and talked about what our future would be like with a child. I was just glad we were on the same page. Seeing how excited he was about this child made me even happier to carry it.
