Anxiety is hard to fight. I myself have had a panic attacks and anxiety due to school. So, the best way to avoid it is to not procrastinate. However, that does not help when you are having a panic attack - I know by experience - so I will tell you something I do: I try to think of something else.
When I have my panic attacks, I put on the music: specially Taylor Swift. Then I focus on the words, and let my mind drift off to the words and start planning a music video or just imaging a concert or Taylor. I will recommend listening to your favorite artist that is the one that calm you down. In my case she is the artist that calms me down. I love Taylor Swift.
Another way to calm yourself down is thinking about your happy place. For example, I think of Hogwarts, Narnia and Camelot. Then also think about the characters in these places. Your mind will start to drift away from what caused your panic attack. When you think of your happy, you will be happy and start creating this scenarios of your head, or remember parts of your favorite book or film. It really helps, and makes you really happy too. I'm telling you by experience. When I think of Hogwarts, I think of the Golden Trio and The Weasley Twins. Just thinking of them makes me happy. This can also work with your favorite artist too. You just want to move your mind away from what caused you the panic attack. You can also create different plots in your head, or even think of your favorite OC in different scenarios.
I know it's hard to fight panic attacks. I know it by experience. This way of fighting it works really well for me.
