"Uhh nothing let's sleep..." Jungkook said looking on the wall which was too interesting at the moment
"You sleep I've to go out..." yen said grabbing her bag
"Where,why?"
"Actually I haven't had dinner so I'll just go and get it..."
"I'll come with you!"
The two teenagers went to the nearby restaurant together. They had meals and basic talks When jungkook suddenly decided to be serious "muffin?"
"Yes,kook"
"Forgive me...please" he looked at the oceanic eyes with shiny expressions of hope
"For what?" A frown approached the goldie's face hearing the sudden apologise
"Basically everything." A loud chuckle left yen's mouth after hearing the inky's words
"You're a dumbass!"
"Wait- so you aren't forgiving me?!" He asked a little loud. "I am." She replied
"You're confusing." Jungkook stated
"You're annoying!" Yen back fired
"You're pretty!"
"You're not."
"WHAT?! i thought you were gonna compliment me too!" Jungkook whined
"Why? Is this a give and take offer?"
"Ugh you stupid!"
"Kook"
Jungkook looked at yen after their little joke without saying a word
"umm are you not happy that i came first?"
"Its nothing like that its just i was shocked to see my record breaking but I'm exited!"
"For what?" Yen asked
"I have a competitor!"
"But jungkook,you aren't even a percent below me..."
"Well position matter wait I'll be back in a minute." Jungkook got up and went somewhere and yen began to sing

"I'm back!" Jungkook came back with two hot chocolates in his hands
"Thanks babe" the goldie unconsciously said taking the drink from the frozen jungkook
"What?! Sit" yen said looking at jungkook who was standing for a while now.
"What did you say?" He asked "thanks?"
"Okay maybe I'm deaf...."
"Huh?"
"I think you're deaf"

Next day the goldie woke up all alone. Seeing an empty bed she got sad and lonely. She saw a sticky note on the name and opened the folded note.
Hey muffin! Its your kook. I'm going to my parents house for this one week holiday. I'm sorry I couldn't inform you because all this happened so suddenly last night. I'll miss you,bye."
"What am i gonna do without you,kook!" She yelled at the note thinking it could hear her.
"Kook please come back~" she whined laying on her bed lazily. As soon as she closed her eyes a knock was heard
"My kook came yay!" She danced to the way of the door. Her smile faded once she opened and saw who it was
"Trainers?" She told her parents standing on the door. "Can we come in?"
She opened the door wide and let then in bringing them water. "What do you want?"
She asked her father looking straight in his eyes avoiding the intense anger in her. "Why can't we come to meet our daughter?" Mr jung replied
"Where's your roommate?" He asked
He- i mean she's with her parents enjoying holidays...." She said exaggerating the word parents
"Oh." Mr jung said "how are you yen?" Mrs jung asked now

"Beautiful." She replied
"I'm fine." Yen said rolling her eyes. Mrs jung noticed the hatred and asked
"Yen,why do you hate me so much?"
"Oh trainer,now you remember you had a daughter too?"
"Look yen i am so-"
"Save it! I have only a father not a mother you get that? I hate you."
Mrs jung felt a loud pang in her heart hearing the harsh words from her daughter. "Yen is this how you talk with-"
"Leave it,its my fault..." mrs jung stopped mr jung in the middle of his sentence
"So yen what about you come with us and enjoy your holidays too?" Her father asked
"No it will affect your business and I don't wanna be a burden like always."
"My daughter you're not a burden to us!" Mrs jung said softly
"Oh so why am in this hostel?" The younger asked
"Do you wanna get out of here?" Mr jung asked
The goldie stayed silent for minutes and kept staring at both with red angry eyes before saying
"Yes"

Author's note: Beast is a story that I wrote a long, long time ago. Some of you might have read it then, back when it was posted on reddit over at r/HFY. It was my first webfiction and made in the spirit of that subreddit's "genre" of humanity being awesome. But, it is also a story that has bothered me a little bit. Just like most new writers tend to do, I made mistakes and errors that feel painful to reread. A Space Opera will be a Space Opera, but I had prose that makes present-me cringe. Still, at the same time, the story is still very much a tale I've never given up on. It was my first adventure into fiction: Beast was a crazy adventure with bodysnatching aliens, galactic war, threats from across the universe... Posting this story here is a way to try and redeem myself a bit. I won't call it a complete rewrite, because it's not, but I have wanted to go through and correct some of the major issues Beast has for a long time and put it somewhere more accessible to read (instead of as posts/comments on reddit) and I figure that now is as good a time as any. Additional corrections you might notice are welcome.

A spiraling doom awaits the world of Isulia. **************** I put the gore and traumatizing warnings not because my book is overly gory. However, there are a few moments that may be traumatizing to some people. As for the gore, it shows up fairly often but not extensively. I've always loved violence in movies and books, (The Boys, Banshee, Kingdom of heaven, Vikings, etc.) I am descriptive of the scenes with gore. So be warned :) I have multiple MC and as a nooby writer, I've had a harder time writing from a female POV. Just a heads up. Don't kill me if I make the woman in my book seem weird. After the Long Burn is an anthology of short science fiction stories set in the distant Ionad System. Author's Note: I thought I might try something a little different with this story. Rather than one story, it is six stories of varying length, each taking a slightly different perspective to tell a larger story. Some are more actioney, others more cerebral but I hope there will be something for everyone. Stories over 7000 words, with the exception of the titular After the Long Burn, will be published in two parts. I anticipate an upload schedule of one part every other day.

However, the setting of my story does not adhere to most of the main stream fantasy/sci-fi settings. So, you might find my ideas unique or a little too weird and complicated or both.
